i had a eureka moment the other day and now i have a theory about potential killers and maps that may or may not come to the tcm game.
so yknow you have the radio/news broadcasts in the loading screen before a game, and they can sometimes be heard during gameplay. there is a lot of clues talking about crime that has happened within texas and especially in Newt or near it. this is where we know about johnny killing a college student and being attacked by her friends. they don’t say his name, but describe the killer as “late 20s, dark hair and eyes and multiple scars on his face and arms”. the devs confirmed this when they said how he got the scar on his arm.
we also got hints of nancy before her release in these broadcasts. strings of men dying in unknown circumstances and had poison in their system. this seems to fit nancy’s “black widow” characteristic and we know she has a hand for poison and hallucinogens.
this is when my theory comes in. surely when it comes to killers, not all can be part of the slaughter family. big families exist, but say the game does really well and it has years on running, getting new dlc third monthly. that becomes a lot. so why not open to have killers loosely related to the family but not blood related. neighbours, other insane families. what about the people the cook work with at the gas station? (seen in the movie, ie the guy that cleans the van), or maybe nubbins is part of a community of graverobbers that know each other?
here are potential characters and mals that might be in the game. sorry if i get names or details wrong, im doing it by ear:
martin wembley is mentioned in the broadcasts when his home was raided by police confiscating his animal jars. some were human remains, which he claims to not know about and thought it was “just regular animal stuff”. is this a potential killer? or someone buying nubbins’s weird oddities? either way, his hobby is questionable and can be linked to the family, especially nubbins. the broadcast ends saying he is held for questioning
a male body found near devil’s river off highway 163, SW texas, found by a hunter. this is also the location two female bodies were found supposedly a year before this event. all bodies have evidence of stabbing and strangulation. in gameplay nancy says “have you ever heard of devil’s river?” and i am guessing this is where nancy disposes unwanted bodies that johnny kills to ‘clean up his mess’, as the method of murder is very similar to his. devil’s river would be a very unique map and i hope we get more info about it.
there is also hints johnny may have been caught by police but let off due to lack of evidence. when cops followed a lead to a motel they found 36 year old Kelsy Keo (sp?) being subdued by a man ‘whos named is withheld’. it seems that he talked his way out of it, saying kelsy agreed to it during intimacy. he denied being the infamous killer that cops were looking for, and with the current timeline, it seems johnny was let off. could this kelsy be a potential new victim in game?
three youths are vandalising Lexington, TX. their work has been described as depicting ‘famine and the macabre’, similar to how the texas chainsaw massacre is described. authorities think 2 of the youths are sisters, but cannot confirm. could this be a possible duo that might be new characters? or is the string of animal bone vandalism painting a bigger picture to potential new maps?
justin austin is another name mentioned when he was arrested after a case of food poisoning was linked to his meat factory. he admits some of the meat was “tainted” by a rat infestation. he awaits trial for his carelessness and lack of food hygiene. could this hint to the slaughters possibly selling their meat is make ends meet? are there more people turning to cannibalism due to lack of resources and steady income like the family? with a game about cannibals, it’s hard to believe rats are causing this problem.
a high school dance was intruded by two men, Hackett Wayford and his son Grant and they attacked the teenagers with bladed weapons. the football team managed to tackle the men before they caused more harm. one boy who tackled them said they were “freak strong, like bulls or something”. they say nothing about their motives, but their mention of strength is interesting as it would make for good potential new killers. the use of freak also implies their strength was inhuman, so can the powder in game also be used as a performance enhancer later on for potential new killers? if it can give nancy visions, it’s not that far fetched.
“the terror of I40” is the murders committed by sissy on her hitchhiking journey from california to texas. it says it took place between 1971-1972 so in canon sissy returned to the family sometime in ‘72. with a razorblade, she attacked a man in his home but he was able to fight her off. sissy fled the scene, but the man never reported the incident right away for an unknown reason.
Hellum’s Ranch is a location mentioned when police arrived at the scene from a report about cattle abuse. instead, they found men dressed in white clothes and sun glasses poisoned and slumped in chairs. some where holding King James bible, which has association with the KKK. one man also held an item which the police described as a ‘manifesto’. it is unknown why these men poisoned themselves, but the police found large quantities of the substance in the area. is this ranch a potential new map, linked to a dark past? to me, i think this could lean more into a Jonestown situation than a KKK one. with the men holding bibles, poisoning themselves, wearing clothes similar to the Jonestown cultitist, it’s uncanny.
there is also a random mention of the Marfa Lights in the broadcasts. how this is linked idk how, considering the theories of them are linked to UFOS. Marfa, TX and its setting could be a new map in the future, but that’s the only thing i can think of.
Omar Parly (sp?) is a man mentioned for multiple offences in different counties. he spent 5 years in prison and continued crime after his release. his current whereabouts is unknown. potential new killer?
Gerrard Gaines found a burning truck on ‘his back forty’ (idk what this means sorry). on inspection he found the burnt body of an unidentified male and a large bag of money 30 feet away. i find this one VERY compelling as this man shares a surname with Danny. who is the unidentified man? why is there money? and is this man related to danny? if that’s danny in the car, and gerrard is related to him, is someone paying him for his troubles of losing a relative? if so, who? im completely stumped on this one and my assumptions are far fetched.
personal belongings are found to be linked to a missing couple, Tim and Tiara Divine. they disappeared during their roadtrip through the country of texas. their IDs where scattered near a river assumingly to be disposed of if they are previous victims of the slaughter family. since they are missing, maybe they are still alive and being held captive by the slaughters, hinting to potential new victims?

san antonio weekend
Went to San Antonio, TX
Got a hotel room
Swam with brother and friend
Ate dinner and played Uno, pulled out the swap hands card on my mom and she instantly dropped out of the game
Took an aesthetic shower
Slept
Woke up
Had a diabetic breakfast
Got my Halloween costume
Went to SeaWorld
Had lunch and some nasty ass grapes
Meet and greet with a Sea Lion
Watched Elmo spit spooky bars
Another friend came along
Shared a funnel cake with her
That one group in Naruto pulled up
Rapped Face Off for a Plague Doctor
Cool rock concert
Nice conversation with a zombie, asked for my friend's limbs tho
Did 3 haunted houses (last 2 were fucking wack, 1st one had zombies chasing you and they even jumped at you with real chainsaws, no chain tho)
Took a selfie with Slenderman
Friend left
Got free gummy worms from a bar
Fight broke out after some adult accidentally bumped into someone's child and it turned into a 1v10. Even some 5 year old was beating the shit out of a grown woman. People (including myself) were recording (one mf recorded and really said "yEp ThIs tHe OnE"), most people were complaining because we were at fucking SeaWorld, one woman passed me trying not to laugh, security involved and the fight was broken up, some people pressing charges, one of the guys involved pulled down his pants and told everyone to kiss his ass and suck on him, others were confused, and then Sea World closed.
Went back to the hotel and slept
Had another diabetic breakfast
Took another aesthetic shower
Checked out after a bunch of band teens swarmed the hotel
Visited the Alamo for the second time after 2015
Car got fucking towed when we had DV plates
Got it back and otw home rn
Only in San Antonio

the texas chainsaw massacre, silence of the lambs, the vvitch, the blair witch project (horror movie ask game)
⚰️ horror movie ask game 🔪||| @chickypoodoodloos
the texas chainsaw massacre - what’s ur favorite food?
Mac and Cheese. It's simple it's classic. but it's also a grab base to build off of. you can add bacon or chili, tomatoes, onions. Or you can put it on other things like pizza or burgers. OR you can deep fry it if you're feeling partially unhealthy.
silence of the lambs - what’s something ur looking forward to?
The ComiCon in my state is next week so I'm getting ready for that. For my cosplays, I have a variation of Vincent, Artair, and maybe Heath depending on if my friend who said they wanted to cosplay Emery can make it or not. But I also have tentative plans to move to Austin TX by the New Year to look for work as it seems to have more opportunities down there regarding what I majored in. and I cross my fingers it doesn't fall throw or that I lose my nerve about it.
the vvitch: what’s ur favorite historical time period? (without the old-timey bigotry)
Probably the 1900's but that just because my favorite movie is set roughly in that time period but it also spends most of its runtime in the Land of the Dead, so it doesn't really give you an accurate depiction of the time period. Or maybe the period of time where people get really disenchanted by the church and all that and got super in spirits and ghosts - Well I'd like to visit that period at least.
the blair witch project - what’s ur biggest pet peeve?
People trying to talk to me when I'm listening to music. Now I know that sound harsh, and it is, but when I'm in the car and singing along to a song on the radio and then typically my dad decides to start a conversation it annoys me cause I can't pause the song to give him my attention and my brain's attention is still on the music that I can't focus on what is being said to me that I instantly get frustrated and come off as in a pissy mood.
Thanks for the ask @chickypoodoodloos I'm assuming this was for me as you didn't tag any characters... so I hope I don't disappoint

Haunted house stories please?
HAHA oh man, sure!! This was not something I really expected to be asked after I tag-talked about it lol, but I have plenty to share.
A preface: I was at House of Torment in Austin, Tx for 6 years, until I moved cities, and was a floor manager for 5 of those. What this means is I was in costume every night, but instead of being in a single scene like most actors, I got to run around a huge portion of the haunt. I took care of the actors in my zone, while also checking on/fixing props, dealing with problem customers (MANY of these, but all the managers had radios w/ earpieces & were kept updated constantly by the control room staff monitoring the night vision cameras in almost every room), and scaring everyone else. Being a manager, I had a lot more......leeway in what I could do, namely dangerous stunts and shit that scene actors were not permitted to do for legal reasons.
Worth a mention as well; I have always been an athletic dumbass with a high degree of flexibility and pain tolerance, so let’s start with that as a baseline. This is long, so i’ll just start with one! I may reblog it to add more later though.
CHAINSAW TAG: An upgraded children’s game w/ 120% more terror.
Picture this: It’s 1am, and the building is closed & empty. The actors have gone home, the music is off, and the bright house lights are dark. You are alone, creeping along in the dim glow of the operating lights, using your familiarity with the terrain to keep as silent as you can, while also avoiding stumbling over the uneven floor as you strain your ears to catch any sounds not generated by you.
Over the thud of your own heartbeat, you hear something: careful steps coming up the stairs several rooms behind you; whomever is making them is obviously trying to remain as unnoticed as you are, but doesn’t know enough to skip over the top two steps, which always groaned under pressure.
There’s no way to know who is behind you, and the risk of staying to find out isn’t worth it. There are a few hiding places you know of in your vicinity, and the one that is better than all the rest is also unfortunately the most difficult to get into swiftly AND quietly. You make your choice, and straighten up to begin trying to unlatch the cabinet door that actually contains a small passage onto a metal ledge, hanging 20ft above the floor below, with a large, heavy, hinged grate that actors can push over to scare customers with its deafening crash. The cabinet hinge squeaks loudly if opened too fast, you know, so you pick the slow and stealthy option. This was a mistake; you are TOO slow.
There aren’t quiet steps behind you anymore, because now they are advancing rapidly, with heavy footfalls. The unmistakable sound of a cord being pulled several times, an engine starting, and by the time they burst into the doorway of your room, the chainsaw in their hands is revved and roaring.
Your heartbeat goes haywire, and your mouth goes dry as adrenaline kicks in like a shotgun blast. Silence be damned, you rip the cabinet door open, climb onto the counter, and hurl your body forward through the 2ft entrance as the person, still dripping with the blood they wore that night while out on the lot, terrifying customers to take their minds off the line, lunges for you with a shriek. You ARE fast enough this time, the cabinet door bangs shut and the latch re-engages behind you, but the chainsaw-wielder is just as aware as you are of the tiny ledge, with no exit but the way you came, that you are now perched on. You hear them start to fumble with the latch.
Heartbeat still thundering, you smile. You don’t expect them to know this, but this area happens to be one of your favorite spots in the building for three reasons.
1) It’s a part of your zone, you have spent hundreds of hours patrolling it over the course of the season, and you are very, very comfortable in it.
2) After the grate is pushed over by an actor, and the resulting noise causes the customers beneath to drop to the floor, hands over their ears, screaming like they think the world is ending, they always recover and look up to see what made it. Through the metal mesh of the ledge, they can see the actor that scared them, the grate, and you as well if you’re there that time. Usually one person laughs at the rest of the group, and they make to continue down the hall, content that the monsters are two stories up and cannot reach them.
3) As mentioned before, you are a gigantic dumbass with the impulse control of a particularly acrobatic toddler.
The sets in this building are movie-grade, meant to take abuse from staff and guests alike, and built to facilitate the high-intensity scares your company is known for. This means almost everything is weight-bearing, baby.
The would-be killer gets the cabinet door open just in time to see you roll off the edge of the platform, slowing your decent to the concrete below by pushing off the metal sewage pipes that jut from the wall to enhance the atmosphere. Ricocheting all the way down to the ground floor, instead of rushing forward like you normally would, at the practically incoherent group you just landed a few feet in front of, you race off at full speed down the hallway, while the thwarted maniac calls down that you’re a bag of dicks, and they’re going to go eat the half-sandwich you left in the break room.
This my friend, is Chainsaw Tag!! Only played by management & equivalent level staff, after the haunt was closed for the night, it was a dangerous, no-holds barred, showdown-survival match between a bunch of people trying to ‘survive’ as long as they could, and one with a real chainsaw (minus chain, jesus christ we weren’t trying to actually kill someone) & a desire to give their friends minor heart attacks. Haunted house employees are not known for their strong survival instincts.
People ask me a lot, “Why do you hate horror movies, if you love horror video games and work in a haunted house??” The answer to that is, IT’S A TOTALLY DIFFERENT BALLGAME IF I CAN PERSONALLY INFLUENCE THE OUTCOME OF THE SITUATION. The experience of having, as far as your brain is concerned in the moment, a real person with a chainsaw hunting you down is unlike anything I can possibly think to compare it to; you instinctively go into a genuinely terrified state, it doesn't matter how logically you know that the asshole stalking you with a chainsaw isn’t really going to kill you, you promised to buy him Wendy’s on the way home, the second you start to doubt that the sounds you are hearing are coming from a fellow ‘victim’ your brain is already off and doing its thing. When a chainsaw starts up in the dark, one room away, you run, but most importantly, YOU CAN CHOOSE EVERY DECISION YOU MAKE TO TRY TO KEEP YOURSELF ‘ALIVE’ THAT MATCH, THERE IS NO WAITING AROUND KNOWING THAT WHATEVER HAPPENS TO YOU IS GONNA HAPPEN BECAUSE THAT’S THE WAY THE DIRECTOR SHOT IT.
We didn’t play every night, and sometimes games lasted until the sun rose, before we all trudged off to try to make it through classes/daytime jobs, but MAN was it worth it. I feel like ive actually got some honest to goodness experience surviving a slasher movie lol, and as long as I knew the terrain and was lucky, I might actually survive. The building we were in at the time was 40,000 square feet, and most of it was the extremely intricate haunted house, so there were a ton of choices players could make in how they hid, where they hid, if they took a stationary approach or a more active one, the way I did, et cetera.
The building also used to be an old warehouse, complete with steel beams criss-crossing the length of the ceiling, and if you think I didn’t hang like a bat from them, 40 ft above the ground in an open area that didn’t have any false floors, with a flashlight in hand so that as soon as I spotted the person who was ‘It’ I could switch it on and make a godawful Dracula impression at them, you would be thinking wrong.
I have thought before that if I owned/had access to some wooded land, or a building that was built up in a way to make it fun, I would love to run my own game of Chainsaw tag with friends. There really is nothing else that can come close as far as the rush you get when playing it, much less surviving till the end of the round and getting to laugh at the dumb ways your friends died’. Of course people snuck off to make out, and YES they totally did get caught & killed with MUCH more frequency than those of us who knew better, that’s like one of the basic tropes of horror movies, good god.
And yes, the chainsaw wielder DID have to touch you with the chainsaw in order to tag you out, and there were no safe zones (that were respected, anyways).

Drag Racing Fun - Review of SpeedZone, Dallas, TX - Tripadvisor
Drag Racing Fun – Review of SpeedZone, Dallas, TX – Tripadvisor
Comfortably the worst karting I’ve ever come across. Warning signs were the lack of helmets, extra 75 pounds of steel & rubber bumpers and the emphasis on the video game arcade. Karts are slow, noisy (think chainsaw at full throttle) and poorly maintained. Karts would stall on the track frequently, and there were large disparities in speeds from one to another. A healthy individual could easily…

Interview: Noah "Shark" Robertson of Motograter
Tumblr media
A genre-defying alternative metal outfit founded in Santa Barbara, CA, Motograter was formed in 1995 and take their name from a homemade springed/percussion instrument that’s made of heavy cable, cranks, and gears. With the release of new single “Dorian“, the band is ready to build on its legacy and climb back to the top of the Hard Rock and Metal world. The song is off to the fastest start @ Active Rock Radio in the band’s career, with more than 30 stations already playing the song. It is charting Top 30 on both the Billboard Rock Indicator chart and the Under The Radar Active Rock chart.
The band recently shot a music video for “Dorian” that will premiere in August. The location for the video shoot was the famous Ohio State Reformatory where the Oscar nominated movie “Shawshank Redemption” was filmed, as well as music videos from Godsmack and Lil’ Wayne. Directing and producing the video is Christopher Davis (Human Twelve).
EMP Label Group will release ‘Desolation’ on 8/11/17, Motograter’s 2nd full length album.  The LP was  produced by Ahrue Luster (Ill Nino/Ex-Machine Head) and mixed by Joshua Wickman (Within the Ruins, KING 810). The album was engineered by Luster, Wickman, and Jon Berrier, and recorded at Illustrious Productions, Dreadcore Productions, and BlackPlate Productions.  Art for “Desolation” was created by Mister-Sam Shearon, who has created covers for comic books and graphic novels including Clive Barker’s “Hellraiser”, Judge Dredd, The X-Files, Mars Attacks, KISS, and Clive Barker’s “Books of Blood” as well as artwork for some of the biggest names in rock music including Godhead, Ministry, Rob Zombie, Iron Maiden, Powerman 5000, Biohazard, American Head Charge, Rammstein, Fear Factory and Kill Devil Hill.
The band is widely known for their image, notorious for covering themselves in tribal style body paint. The early stage of the group’s career consisted of heavy experimentation with industrial sounds, samples, and tribal drums.
The band released two EP’s ‘Hugh Chardon’ and ‘Indy’ and were signed to Sever Records, founded by Dez Fafara of Coal Chamber.
The band’s sound continued to evolve, eventually incorporating a dark, groove-oriented guitar styling, that would help broaden the band’s appeal and reach a wider audience. In 2003, the band inked a deal with No Name/Elektra Records and released the highly acclaimed. self-titled album, ‘Motograter’, featuring Ivan Moody (Five Finger Death Punch/Ghost Machine) on vocals. The song “Suffocate” was featured on the soundtrack to the film “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre”. The song “Down” is featured on the EA Sports video game Nascar Thunder 2004. The band went through various periods of dormancy over the years as members worked on their own side projects.
Motograter reformed with its current lineup in 2014.  The band has been active since then and has performed at Knotfest multiple times.  They have toured with Ozzy Osbourne and Ozzfest, 5 Finger Death Punch, Korn, Marilyn Manson, Chevelle, Disturbed, Ministry, Nothingface, Anthrax, Mushroomhead, Killswitch Engage, Chimaira, Shadows Fall, Voivod, and many more.  The “Desolation” tour starts in Septermber.
Noah “Shark” Robertson took the time to sit down and discuss the making of Desolation and what is feels like to have new Motograter material
