Hey guys! Sorry I’ve been pretty much awol from this blog as of late, I’ve been dealt a pretty rough go these past couple weeks and trying to get my stuff back together just takes some effort ya dig? Haven’t had time for much of anything. Anyway, here is a pretty rough preview of my piece for @twrpzine and I’m pretty freakin stoked about it. Safe travels my friends!

So I was listening to Typhoon Turnpike and I started conceptualizing a hypothetical TWRP kart racer...which VERY quickly turned into “what if Wacky Racers...but TWRP???”  So I started some extremely rough sketches; I’m not great at vehicles, so these are probably gonna be REAL dumb.

”The Swagatomic Speedster An all around good vehicle; the cone can help push through tight packs of other racers. When using the nunchucks, it switches to a difficult to use kick-based steering system.”

I’ve started sketching out Phobos and I’ve got a concept in mind for Meouch as well. Might post them on Instagram once they’re all done.

The last of the four Typhoon Turnpike inspired TWRP racers!

“No one is sure who told Havve he could bring in what is basically a tank but he did and everyone is too scared to tell him he can't. Harm Hogan is slower than most other racers but it's also huge and massively destructive. Aside from just straight up ramming other vehicles, it can also fire small explosives. No one knows where or how he got those.“ With Havve being a murderous robot, I thought that he would probably gravitate toward a high attack power vehicle. I originally was calling it “Huge Hogan” with the idea that after generating a certain amount of energy it could transform into a bigger more destructive vehicle called “Harm Hogan” but I wasn’t sure how to represent that well. I might draw up a few “secret racers” as well, but...

“Mel” you say “I don’t think motorcycles look like that” listen it’s fine I modeled the front guard off Meouch’s unused space helmet; I feel like this one is less distinct that the other two I’ve done, so if I redraw all these properly, I might make some changes. I’m having trouble designing one for Havve; I’ve got a general idea, but...
