Always Keep Simming - In this Life, and all Lives after

It was already early afternoon when Colin and Aileen arrived in Willow Creek. Aileen embraced Colin tightly. „It’s over, Colin. You’re home. You’re home“, she whispered softly. Colin was too exhausted to even stand upright. They went inside and sat in their living room.

„Where are the kids? Grandpa?“, Colin asked. „Safe. At my mum‘s. We revived the MOTHER and asked for her protection. I just have to construct the wormhole generator and bring her Bizarre Fruit to Sixam.“, Aileen told him.

Colin was confused. „So, you won’t be abducted by aliens anymore?“ Aileen shook her head no. „What happened, Colin? What got you to this state?“, Aileen asked. Colin briefly told her about his time held hostage by his grandmother, being forced to fulfill her every wish. „I‘ll still have to go back. This is not over. If not me, she’ll come for Gavin or Gemma next. We need to beat her.“ „I don’t understand why she treated you so poorly. Aren’t you her holy grandson?“, Aileen asked. Colin shook his head. „She only cares about my blood, not me. And she didn’t want to hear about me overcharging. She kept saying that I’m making it up“, Colin explained.

Suddenly, he stood up. "Let me cast the protection spell I read about and bind it to our Crystal Tree. It won't wear off and we‘ll be safe from my grandmother, as long as the Crystal Tree is alive and growing.. This spell is linked to it.... I would have loved to show you the tome I read about the history of crystals, they are pretty powerful, if used correctly. My grandmother planted Crystal Trees all over the Headquarters to keep intruders out", he explained, while hurrying outside. Aileen followed him. "Love, you can do that later. You need to rest. You are still overcharged, this is not good!", Aileen warned him. "If it's the last thing I do, it's worth it", Colin said and before Aileen could protest more, he raised his wand and cast the spell upon their grounds.

However, it had been a very powerful spell, requiring a lot of energy. Which, at this point, he simply didn't have. The spell backfired and his entire body started to shake, the magic overpowering him.

Colin was on fire. His insides were burning and the heat was suffocating. He tried to cool himself down in the snow, but it was of no use. He had been overcharged too much and now he couldn’t contain the magic any longer. So, the magic burned him alive until it could be set free.

Colin couldn't get up again, his eyes were closed, he was breathing heavyily. Aileen sank to her knees, desperate. „Colin, no, no, this is not what was supposed to happen!!! You can't go, you can't leave me!!! Get up!! Get up!!!“, she cried out.

Surely enough, the Grim Reaper appeared when it just had gotten dark outside. Aileen pleaded for Colin… and the Grim Reaper listened!!

Colin had to stay in the hospital for a while though, but he was alive. Aileen would forever be grateful to her friend, the Grim Reaper. He stayed at their house all night while Aileen was in the hospital with Colin - playing video games as per usual…

Why I'm not posting as much CC as before

Under the cut because it's a long post:

Soooo... You might have noticed I'm not posting CC that much. That's because since there isn't any big active CC finds blog anymore, My notes are awful. For a small creator like me, existing is hard and I don't have any visibility anymore. And I know people say "don't care about the notes" but when you put your energy into creating something you like and it gets two downloads (not exaggerating, I have items with two downloads on SFS)... Honestly it made me depressed. I still make CC, I just don't want to post it anymore because I'm anxious it will do badly and I'll be disappointed again.

My UninspiRed wallpaper was part of a bigger project, a series of color themed wallpapers. I really made sure they were good quality, better than my usual CC, and spent literal hours on them. Then I posted UninspiRed, and guess how many downloads it has today? 77. And that's with my friends advertising the hell out of it. 77 downloads may seem like a lot to some of you, but it's really not. My older cc, back when the cc finds blogs were active, it could make 300 downloads in the first week. This one was posted almost a month ago.

It's really frustrating to me, because I don't know what I'm doing wrong, I want my content to do well, I know my previews aren't always the best but I tried to work on that, I'm doing my best and it's not paying off...

I will eventually post the rest of the colorful wallpapers (I took previews for them, so they will be put to use) when I have the spoons to do it. After that... I don't know. Maybe there will be new CC from time to time, maybe I'll find it in me to come back to posting CC every Saturday like before, maybe I'll stop completely... I honestly can't tell right now.

Also, Simblreeen is approaching... I don't know if I will participate yet. Probably, but with non Halloween-themed gifts. But I might change my mind on that, so I'll make a proper announcement later.

Anyways, now is as good a time as any to say: remember small creators exist, do browse the S4CC and sims 4 cc tags sometimes, don't only cc shop at your usual creators' pages, who knows, you might find something you like!
