i really love prompt events but. finishing a piece of writing every day for 30 days in a row is just absolutely not possible for me. even if the prompts are posted sooner for “prewriting” its usually just a month and 2 days for a fic when i got irl shit to do and am not trying to get a burnout is still A Lot (no shade on the event makers here - those are great, just not for me At All lol.) Even if its just a week long event it’s usually the same problems. I love writing with prompts and in events but Man are they just not accessible for me.

#would be nice if there was one that was like. idk just more chill and gives you more time #two is ok-ish but 3 or 4 would be more doable for ppl like me #a week would probably be too much time and i wouldnt do shit again lmao #but yea #idk im just complainin i guess #its super demotivating if you miss one day and then youve gotta do TWO fics in a day #considering my irl stuff thats very little time to get started write it. edit it. spellcheck it. not even thinking about sending it to my #friend who beta reads bc he has a fulltime job and two kids #ive been doing whumptober for myself and not posting it bc im only drafting but even then you miss a day and its Oof #sure i can draft a crappy 500 word fic in half an hour but that wouldnt be something i post #i usually spend like. 3-4 times more time editing than i do writing or more #and i admire short fic writers bc i cant write shit thats shorter than 2k to save my life
