They were cute in Mythologies, and I was really glad that Sareena talked about Bi Han in her short MKX appearance, it was sweet. I really wish we could see more of them but then I just want more Sareena in general lol she's so cool. When Noob Saibot was announced for MK11 I had some vain hope that Sareena would be back too and maybe we would get more, but all we got was Noob comparing Skarlet to Sareena in an end of round taunt and Sareena doesn't even get to show up but inexplicably she's Kabal's love interest now? Yet another way MK11 has victimized me personally

4. a story idea you haven’t written yet

lately I've been picking at but still haven't yet officially drawn/written up anything proper for this idea of a God of War thing, tentatively branded the 'Other Brother AU'.

In a summary: Post-Ragnarok Sindri gets thrown back into the past just at the start of Fimbulwinter, and naturally tries for a time-travel fix-it. Thing is, the recently reunited Brok and past Sindri are around too, and they're not about to let him do it alone.

13. a fandom you’re thinking about writing for

I've started poking at the Spirit Hunter series a bit lately, it's a pretty underrated horror VN franchise with some surprisingly well-rounded and fun characters whose interactions and personalities make a lot of the game stand out beyond the actual gameplay and ghost mysteries. no real big ideas for it, but the cast bounces off each other so well and naturally that even coming up with small slice-of-life or 'in the middle of something' scenes are really fun and natural to spool out

opinion: people will look back more fondly on mk11 than mk1 (i am not saying it would be justified. i just think it will happen)

I think in general people tend to look on the previous game more fondly once its time has passed, and I think a lot of the hostility toward MK11 near the end of its life cycle was partly due to it being the only NRS game we had for like 4 years, we're all used to getting something new earlier than that (which I'm not saying is fair it's just. how it was for a long time). Even I've sort of Kalmed Down about MK11 by now, I wouldn't mind revisiting it now and then if only to play Sonya and Skarlet again

But anyway, it's hard to say how people will look back on MK1. The initial hype is kind of gone now, but the game is still very New. Honestly it was really soon for a full reboot and everything is such a novelty right now it's hard to know how we'll all feel about it in the years to come. So idk. I could see it. I could see it

I haven't played through or seen the MK1 story yet so none of my answers will be based on that. Anyway thank you!

blorbo (favorite character, character I think about the most): Kitana and Sub-Zero, specifically Kuai Liang. I remember seeing Kitana for the first time when I was young and just finding her design, weapons and playstyle so beautiful and then falling in love with her lore and personality and idk how anyone could not love her she's perfect. And as for Kuai Liang, I mean after the spine rip fatality rewired my brain and made me fall in love with the franchise it was hard not to love Sub-Zero in general, but Kuai has such a kind personality and interesting journey and I just love him

scrunkly (my “baby”, character that gives me cuteness aggression, character that is So Shaped): Honestly don't know if I have one for MK. Wait yes I do Raiden and Cyrax (I like cyborgs/robots)

scrimblo bimblo (underrated/underappreciated fave): I'm gonna say Jade because while she isn't unpopular I feel like she never really gets the attention or respect she deserves from either the fandom or NRS. And part of that is just the unfortunate reality of caring about a female character, but Jade in particular feels like she's always treated like an accessory to other characters and I'm tired of it

glup shitto (obscure fave, character that can appear in the background for 0.2 seconds and I won’t shut up about it for a week): SAREENA MY BELOVED. Hope she gets to do things some day but at this point I don't have much hope

poor little meow meow (“problematic”/unpopular/controversial/otherwise pathetic fave): Raiden. He legitimately unironically did nothing wrong and I will be a Raiden apologist forever I am on this hill to KILL

horse plinko (character I would torment for fun, for whatever reason): Havik because I know he can handle it. This is foreplay for us

eeby deeby (character I would send to superhell): Hmm there's characters I don't like but idk if I feel strongly enough to eeby deeby them or if there are I can't think of them rn. Maybe Cetrion or Erron idk. Or Kronika
