⧠translation(s): Skxawng-moron,idiot , kuru-queue, hammerbrow fish- the goldfish that kiri was playing with in that one scene (idk how else to describe itđ)
(Listen to this to make it extra sadđĽ°)
You woke up feeling the weight on your chest being even heavier than usual. Your face still wet with tears from last nights realization. That realization being that today was your birthday but not just yours, it was his too. Ever since the night he died, you havenât left your side of the marui since.
Even though itâs been four months since your twin brother died, that day just keeps replaying in your head, the sound of your mother screaming, the look of absolute devastation on your older brothers face, the blood on your hands, the sound of tsireya crying, loâaks cold expression, the way your father looked at you with complete disappointment and spat out a cold, âyouâve done enoughâ
Every time you thought about it you felt sick.
And naturally, being Navi twins you guys were connected more than normal siblings were, you felt each otherâs heartbeats, felt when the other was happy or sad, uncomfortable or frustrated. So when you felt cold and utterly alone, you knew he was gone.
But yet thereâs still times you hear his heartbeat, you feel how lonely he is and how much sorrow heâs filed with. And it makes you weak with sadness every time.
Being pulled out of your thoughts by a small pair of hands on your bicep shaking you back and forth, you turn around to see your baby sister staring back at you with a smile on her face, her eyes still washed with sadness. Yes, she was young, but she certainly wasnât stupid. She knew how to read the room better than kids your age did.
âSis, come on, get up! Itâs your birthday!â She says while climbing onto you to give you a hug, which was something she did every year, but this one was more gentle and genuine than the others. You break the hug to place a hand on her head, lightly ruffling her braids,âMaybe later tuktuk, Iâm still a little tired.â You say, weakly trying to hide the pain in your features with a fake smile.
She frowns at this, making you let out a soft chuckle as you go to push her off of you. Making her cling onto you more. âThatâs what you always say!, please sis, can you get up? For me? For loâak?â She says while looking at you with puppy dog eyes. The slight mention of his name brings tears to your eyes, not ready to start this day without him.
âSister, leave her be, alright? How about you go see what kiri is up to?â Neteyam says as he lifts the curtain to get into your side of the hut, holding it open for tuk to run out eagerly to find her sister.
Closing it, he glances at you before siting on your sleeping mat, âSister, Iâm-â âTeyam donât. I canât go through today with this fake sympathetic bullshit!, you guys were constantly on both of our asses for everything! You guys never cared about how we felt! How he felt! You know how many times he came to me telling me how dad made him feel like shit? Or how kiri was pushing him about certain things? Or how he caught dad talking to you about how heâs, âtoo recklessâ and he âwouldnât be surprised if he got himself killedâ?â
His ears pin back to his skull immediately, knowing the exact conversation you were referring to. âSister, you think that didnât bother me too? I told him that loâak only acted like that because he wanted to be like him. But of course he didnât listen. And do you think I wasnât aware of how you guys felt? Why do you think Iâd always have both of your guys backs whenever you got into trouble? Why do you think I came up with lies left and right to mom and dad so you two wouldnât get your asses beat? I wanted to avoid making you guys feel like that, but I only have so much control y/n..â he says as he squeezes his his fists in anger, his feelings from that night bubbling to the surface again.
You move from your comfortable position to sit next to him, bringing him into a much needed hug. âBrother, I know you did. I know you try every single day. And I look up to you because of that. Youâre stronger than I am. You keep pushing forward even though thereâs so much shit happening to you, I donât understand how you do it.â You say as you feel tears flowing from your face, the hug reminding you of how loâak used to hug you whenever you were in a mood.
âI do it because of you guys. Because of him. You guys are the reason I keep pushing. And especially the both of your skxawng assesâ he says with a soft chuckle before breaking the hug, placing his hand on your head softly, something he did with you and loâak that became a comfort thing for the both of you. âYou can do this today sister, I believe in you, we all do.â His tone making tears automatically spill over your eyes, and causing you to notice his tear filled eyes.
Looking for some sort of grounding you place your hand over his and squeeze, taking multiple deep breaths before speaking. âTeyam.. I canât, I miss him so much. Everytime I wake up I feel so alone and cold, but I can still hear his breath, and his heartbeat. My pain is not only mine, but his too.â You say in between sobs, watching neteyams breathing get more shallow as he tries to hold in his tears. His features covered in concern.
âOh baby sis..â bringing you into another much needed hug. He places a light kiss on your forehead before rubbing your back and gently swaying you from side to side, trying to calm down your cries.
Kiri walks in quietly, the feeling of your pain drawing her to your room. Her whole body goes slack and cold when she sees your state, making her glance at Neteyam. That feeling intensifying even more once she saw the pain in his eyes. She takes her place behind you, quickly inserting herself into the hug. Wrapping her right arm around your waist and the other overlapping with neteyams so she can hold him too,her chin resting on your shoulder.
âYou feel him donât you? His heartbeat? His sorrow? His breath? Like heâs just a word about to be spoken?â Without lifting your head you nod quickly, too mentally exhausted speak anymore. âI know how you feel sister. Take that feeling as a way of him telling you to keep going. Keep breathing for him, keep your heart beating for him. That sorrow will be gone once he sees that youâre living for him.â
Her words make you sob even more. Knowing sheâs right, heâs always hated seeing you cry, and he did anything to fix it. Purposely making himself look like a dumbass, making you go on an ikran ride with him, asking you to go exploring with him, taking you to you guys secret spot, pinky promises. He did anything for you. And so did you.
A wave of calm suddenly hits you, making your sobs come to a complete stop, and your breathing becomes more level. Feeling the change, your siblings give each other a confused glance before looking down at you. âSister?..â they both say in sync as you break the hug and get up, your features going completely cold. âIâm going to visit him..if thatâs ok with you guysâ you say while lifting up a blanket, revealing a stash of alcohol youâve been keeping ever since his funeral.
Quickly you take a bottle and cover it back up, grabbing your hunting knife and putting on both you and loâaks matching bracelets you made on your 10th birthday. Walking towards the curtain to leave, youâre pulled back by a gentle pull on your shoulder.
âY/n..donât donât drink today. Itâs not gonna stop you from hurting, and you know that.â Kiri says while gliding her hand down to your hand that was holding the alcohol firmly. âYeah, I know that kiri, but it dulls it somewhat. And it stops me from wanting to throw myself off of a cliff so I think itâs worth it. Plus itâs my birthday! Iâm allowed to drink as much as I want today!!â You say in a fake enthusiastic tone, your sarcasm reminding them so much of loâak.
âY/n.â Neteyam says in a soft but stern tone, the one that told you that whatever he was about to say was gonna be serious. âDonât drink. I know youâve been hurting more than we have but we need you here. Loâak needs you here. You know how much he hates seeing you hurt.â He says as his voice starts to crack slightly, remembering all the things the three of them would come up with whenever you were anything but happy and content.
Feeling the tears well in your eyes again, you squeeze the bottle tighter, fighting the instinct to drown your feelings in the burning liquid.
Glancing over at them, your heart breaks seeing the genuine hurt on their faces because of the realization youâve been drinking this whole time and they didnât know. Sighing angrily, you shove the bottle into neteyams chest. âFine, but when I get back just save me a bottle, because I know itâll be gone by the time I come back.â You say while turning out of your room swiftly, leaving kiri and neteyam there speechless.
Once you get to the spirt tree, you thank payakan and tell him that youâll see him soon. Ever since loâaks passing youâve only really left your marui to go see payakan, knowing he carries the same weight as you do.
While swimming towards the tree, you mentally prepare yourself for this painful experience. Youâve been avoiding coming to the tree in the first place, because you knew how much it take out of you. And he knew the same.
Connecting your kuru to the tree, youâre brought to you and loâaks secret spot back at your actual home. The only place that brought you two comfort. Tentatively, you walk through the clearing, loâak still not in sight.
âLo?, where are you?â You call out, the sound of your own voice making you realize you werenât 15, but you were younger. Walking towards a curtain of flora that led to a small river, you catch a glimpse of your brother, making you walk quicker.
Once you get there you see loâak sitting at the edge of river with his feet languidly swaying in the water, just staring into the water. Almost like he was waiting for something, or someone. You donât say anything at first, just taking in the sight of him after not seeing him for months.
âBrother..â you say softly, not wanting to disturb his peace. His head whips in the direction of your voice, his expression lighting up as he gets up and walks towards you. âSister!!, I thought youâd never show!â He says as he takes you into a hug, the sound of his voice making you giggle since he was also his younger self.
âOf course I did, it just took me a little time. You know Iâd always come to see your skxawng assâ you say as you break the hug to shove his face with your pointer and middle finger. He giggles at that, his smile making the weight on your chest get lighter.
Grabbing your hand, he guides you to where he was sitting. Taking your seat beside him, you gaze out into the water with him.Nervously playing with your extra finger, you take a breath before talking about what you were avoiding for so long.
âBrother Iâm-â you exhale slowly before continuing, noticing out of the corner of your eye how all loâaks attention was turned to you. âIâm so sorry. You shouldnât be here. It shouldâve been me that got shot that night. I was the one that put the idea into your head to go save spider. I shouldâve just told you and teyam to go so I couldâve got spider by myself-â âSister,â he cuts you off, your rambling making the pain in his heart worse. âItâs not your fault. You need to stop hurting yourself like this. Itâs not fair to you. You need to focus on now. Not âwhat ifâ. And plus, Itâs not like I wouldâve listened to you if you told me to go anyway, thereâs no way in hell Iâd let that happen.â
Both of you giggle at the last part, knowing that heâs not lying. Once your laughs die down, you look down at your hands, that feeling of guilt still lingering in your chest. Glancing over at you, he notices how youâre playing with your pinkies, a telltale sign that told him something was bothering you.âSister, what else is it?â He says as he leans back onto his hands, noticing how your shoulders slightly go stiff from his question.
Turning your body to face him, you donât fail to notice the genuine look of concern in his eyes. âYou know what day it is today?â You ask, making his expression completely drop. âYeah, I know.â The words feeling like a weight on his tongue. âI donât know how Iâm gonna do today without you loâ. I canât. It hurts too much.â You say as the tears finally spill over your face, the grief crawling back up your throat once again. âNo, y/n, you can and you will. For me. Just because Iâm here doesnât mean you canât live out there. Live for me, y/n. Stop letting yourself be consumed by grief and guilt. I hate seeing you like this and you know that.â He says sternly, making sure you know heâs being serious.
All you do is nod your head, not trusting your voice with the lump in your throat and the never ending tears that keep falling from your eyes. The sight of your hurting form makes loâaks heart twist in pain. And the fact he couldnât really do much hurt even more. âCome here, sis,â Placing his hand on your shoulder he pulls you towards him. Giving you a much needed hug, immediately making you sob into the crook of his neck.
âI miss you, twinâ he says while resting his chin on your shoulder, letting the tears fall freely from his eyes. You let out a broken, âi miss you moreâ as the void in your chest grows the longer you two hug.
Once you finally calm down, you break the hug, now seeing each other how you guys remember. âWell shit..â you both say in sync, making you both laugh. âYou look so grown. I donât like it.â Loâak says as he admires you a little longer, a feeling of peace swirling in his chest. âYeah,me neitherâ you say in a soft tone, once again feeling guilty for moving on without him with you.
Placing left hand on your head, and his right on your shoulder he looks at you with a soft smile on his face, âY/n,youâll be ok. Iâll always be watching you, and Iâll always protect you.â The tone of his voice making you inhale sharply so the next wave of tears doesnât come. He raises his pinky finger towards you, waiting for you to do the same. You let out a soft chuckle at his childish behavior before obliging.
Once both of you pinkies are holding onto one another, he grips your shoulder tighter. âPromise me, that you wonât give up on yourself, that you wonât push everyone away, that you wonât drink your feelings away. Promise me that you can get over this feeling. That you will live through this feeling.â
You squeeze his pinky even tightly as you feel the tears well up in your eyes, realizing that time will make no difference to how much you miss him. But it will for how much you will grow through this feeling.
Tugging his pinky towards yours, you nod your head âyesâ before saying, âI promise. I promise Iâll do my best for you. I promise that Iâll try for you.â The words making a smile appear on his face. He brings you into a loving hug, the warmth of comfort washing over both of you guys.
âHappy birthday, twinâ you guys say in sync again, a soft giggle coming from both of you. Breaking the hug, he grabs your hands and squeezes them tightly âow! That hurts!â âI donât care! I want you to have fun for me today alright? Celebrate us! Spend time with everyone that loves you and gives a shit about you. You deserve it!â he says through his laughs, making you smile softly at his childish demeanor.
âAlright I will!! Iâll come visit you again tonight and Iâll tell you all about today!â You say in a giddy tone, noticing that this has been the first time youâve been somewhat happy since these last 4 months.
âYou betterâ he says while rolling his eyes dramatically, knowing he did it to make you laugh. Once your laughter dies down, you both look back at the water. Not wanting this moment to end already. âI love you, broâ you say while bumping your shoulder against his, making him laugh and do the same to you. âI love you more, sisâ he says with a soft smile on his face, one that replaced the one on yours.
You two stay like this for a while, just basking in each others presence and invading each others space. Thoughts of leaving suddenly crowd your head and the second those thoughts occur, your brother says something about it.âY/n go spend the day with them. You know how they get on our birthday, plus theyâll make you feel better.â He says in a delicate tone, a soft smile on his face from remembering how much they loved celebrating your birthdays. You sigh softly, before reluctantly standing up.
He gets up with you, bringing you into an affectionate hug. Without breaking it, he whispers âIâll miss you, sister.â With complete sadness laced in his tone. A tear falls from your face from the sound of his voice,âIâll miss you more than youâll ever know, brother.â You two stay like this for a while, until it starts getting harder to breathe, a harsh reminder of the truth.
Breaking the hug, you give him a look that lets him know that, making him hesitantly let go of you. âIâll see you later tonight brother, I promise. I love you!â You say while turning around to leave, hearing him let out a little âI love you, tooâ before you leave.
Once you reach the surface you catch your breath, calling out to your ilu and mentally going over your interaction with your brother to avoid acknowledging that void in your chest.
Itâs a peaceful ride back home, until you start getting in your head about âhaving funâ today without loâak. Because it wasnât just your birthday, but his too. And celebrating without him just doesnât feel right, even tuk knows that.
But right when you start having those doubts, a group of hammerbrow fish swarm around you and your ilu, stopping you in your tracks. One of them swims up to your face and flicks your forehead, making you furrow your brows and shove it away. They swim around you and you ilu for awhile longer before leaving, one of them staying back a little longer to look at you.
The whole interaction left you with a smile on your face, knowing that it was definitely loâak telling you to calm down, and to stop worrying about unnecessary things. Making hope swirl in your chest.
With time, you know youâll be okay.

notes: this is set during the events of avatar twow and I had sm fun writing this! this fic is 2k+ words so be prepared
synopsis: youâre the twin sister to neteyam. growing up you served as the families little bit of peace, even when quaritch threatens everything you know and love.
âŚMĂŹpa tĂŹreyti, mĂŹpa tĂŹkanti. Lawnol a mĂŹ teâlan.
One of your earliest memories was your mother and father cradling you and your twin brother Neteyam, while your mother sings her songcord. Your mothers voice always had an affect on you from a young age.
ây/n, please stop fighting with your brother.â You always listened to what your mother had to say, even if it was a scolding. You loved your dad endlessly but you were a mamaâs girl at heart, and everyone knew it.
She sees a lot of her late older sister in you. Your compassion for Pandoraâs animal life, your strong will, and your love for the people.
âMa' ite, she is beautiful.â Your grandmother constantly reminded your mother how happy she is that youâre her first grandchild. Your whole family adored you and that continued even into your teen years
âMa sempul Loâak has done nothing wrong, let him be.â You never failed to stand up for your younger brother to your father, even when what he did was truly stupid. You never let your brother feel like he was not supported by you. Today however, was different.
When you got the message that Loâak, Kiri, Spider, and Tuk were at the old shack with sky people present, you felt could not defend him. He had put himself and your siblings in a dangerous position.
After rescuing your siblings from Quaritch and his people, you couldnât help but to let your anger with your brother dissipate. Your gratefulness for their safety was a stronger feeling than your anger for them being in that situation in the first place.
ę§ę§
Later that night after finishing a conversation with a few of your friends you make your way back to your families tent. You catch your siblings seated outside of your home seemingly listening to someoneâs conversation. âGuys what are you do-â Kiri sushes you, gesturing for you to sit down with them.
âI can not, you can not ask this. I can not leave my people, I will not!â Your ears perk up at the mention of leaving the people. âWhatâs going on?â You wonder. Your father says something about him targeting your family. You immediately know who heâs referring to. âYou can not ask this! The children everything theyâve ever known, the forest, this is our home!â Your mom bites back. Tuk winces upon hearing your mom yell at your dad. Placing a hand on her shoulder you nod at her, giving her a faint smile attempting to keep her grounded.
âMy father gave me this bow as he lay dying. And he said âprotect the peopleâ youâre Toruk Makto!â At this point you and your siblings are all on edge, as you begin to understand what your dad is insisting. Tuk wraps herself in your embrace as you attempt to soothe her irregular breathing. Kiri has a hand over her mouth as she lets out quiet sobs. Your brothers have serious faces on with saddened eyes.
âBut I know one thing, wherever we go this family is our fortress.â You and your siblings make eye contact sharing a knowing look. Your father has never given your family any reason not to trust him, this is no different.
ę§ę§
Turning back youâre met with the forest, your people, and your home getting smaller and smaller as you ride off with your family to a new region of Pandora.
You learned how to hunt there, you bonded with your Ikran there, you attended TsahĂŹk lessons with your grandmother there. The forest is your home and your lifeâs first love. Nowhere could ever replace it.
Although if this is truly the best choice for the safety of your family, youâre willing to go as far as it takes.
ę§ę§
Arriving at Awa'atlu, everything felt wrong. You felt outcast for the first time in your life. You and your siblings immediately being subject to the bullying of the Olo'eyktanâs son Aoânung and his friends didnât help the feeling either.
âLeave us alone!â Your ears perk up, your head swiftly turning to where youâre hearing the commotion. Your eyes land on the sight of Loâak and Kiri being harassed by Aoânung and his friends. Making eye contact with Neteyam you both make your way over to your younger siblings.
Roughly shoving Aoânung away from your brother and giving him a deadly stare, your eyes narrowing at him. âYou heard what she said, leave them alone.â Neteyam demands. One of his friends attempts to talk back to him and before you can respond to him Aoânung raises his hand infront of is body, silencing him. âBack off now!â You hiss tilting your head, daring him to say anything back. Aoânung then raises his hands in surrender. âSmart choice, and from now on I need you to respect my siblings.â Checking to make sure all of you are ok you begin to retreat back to your marui pod.
Walking away they begin to talk more shit under their breaths about your family. Loâak stops walking with us and turns back. Neteyam warns him to stop but Loâak dismisses him and continues to walk over to the group. Neteyam makes eye contact with you, clearly confused as the two of you watch the scene unfold.
Suddenly Loâak punches Aoânung in the face twice, and heâs sent back by the blow into the sand. âItâs called a punch bitch!â They immediately gang up on your brother, he starts losing the fight and fast. âTeyam do something!â You whisper yell to your brother. He looks at you scratching his head contemplating getting into a fight for his little brother, ultimately deciding to jump in to help him.
ę§ę§
After all the fighting Loâak and Neteyam returned home all bruised up. Your father was not having it, ordering you all to go make peace with Aoânung. Once your brothers left with defeated faces you stick behind to talk with your dad.
âLoâak was only defending Kiri, Sullyâs stick together and thatâs what he was doing. The execution wasnât the best sure but he still stood up for her, donât be so harsh.â He sends you a sympathetic smile and pulling you into his chest, wrapping you in his strong arms, and kissing the top of your head. âAlright babygirl.â
ę§ę§
The peace that was made between the two families was soon destroyed when Teyam comes in dragging Aoânung by his arm âTell them what you told meâ Looking at your parents in confession you listen to what Aonung has to say.
The color drains from your face he reveals what has happened with your brother. Throughout the night you wondered where he had gone off to, figuring he was out doing his own thing with his new friend Tsireya you brushed it off.
When your little brother returned home you ran to him trapping him in a tight embrace, thanking Eywa for his safety. He relaxes in your embrace but quickly tenses back up at the sight of your enraged mother.
ę§ę§
The following weeks at Awa'atlu were rather peaceful for you. Loâak told you all about Payakan, the clan shamed him for it but you found it interesting and agreed with him that Payakan is a hero. So did little Tuk, she constantly asked him about his new found friend.
The Tulkun returned home, and you swear to Eywa it was the most beautiful sight. You got better and better at riding your ilu and holding you breath thanks to Tsireyaâs lessons. Things for your family were starting to look up.
ę§ę§
You were cooking dinner with your parents when you got the news that started the spiral that sent everything downhill.
You and your mother were laughing at your fatherâs corny jokes, simply enjoying one anotherâs company when Tonowari walked past your marui pod, causing you all to fall silent. Your mom gave your dad a questioning look as he makes his way to Tonowari.
ę§ę§
Ronalâs spirit sister and her baby were killed by Quaritch. Noticing how your momâs heart clinches at Ronalâs cries reminding her of when her own sister was taken by the sky people, you place a hand on her shoulder trying to soothe your mother.
When the clan gets word on what has happened, all hell breaks loose. Your father attempts to reason with them that attacking the sky people will end in defeat but they persist. âPlease, listen to my father!â You beg the people to hear him out but their war cries only grow louder.
Your father shows off the tracker to clan, silencing them all. It is decided that the clan will warn the tulkun and tell them to leave. The clan thinks this is about the Tulkun but your family knows itâs really you being hunted.
Loâak runs off to the docks, Neteyam and you following after him knowing heâs going to warn Payakan. Loâak argues with Neteyam about him being the perfect son heâll never be and it hurts your heart. He jumps into the water and takes off on his ilu. Neteyam and you yell his name in unison as you jump in after him, commanding your ilus to follow him.
ę§ę§
When you find Payakan, he has a tracker lodged in his arm. Using the strength of You, Neteyam, Loâak, Rotxo, Aoânung, and Tsireya you manage to pull the tracker out. Successfully rescuing him.
In the process Kiri, Tuk, Loâak, and Tsireya are captured and bound the the ship. Your parents along with the metkiyna warriors arrive aiding in the fight, Payakan does too.
Dodging every bullet from underwater effortlessly, you make your way to the ship. Emerging from the water you run to Loâak cutting him loose while Neteyam frees Tuk and Tsireya.
âDid ya miss me little bro?â You tease. Rolling his eyes and shaking his bound wrist âJust hurry up!â
Cutting him loose âCmon bro lets go.â Neteyam and you begin to exit the ship but Loâak turns back, taking a gun from a dead sky person.
âThey have spiderâ Loâak begs you and Neteyam to save him. You know how much Spider means to him, they grew up together after all. Sharing a look with Neteyam he groans and reluctantly agrees.
Together You and your brothers take out every last human in the area seamlessly. Using your knife to puncture one of its oxygen mask while kicking the back side of their knee bringing them to the floor, slitting their throat. Successfully retrieving Spider you rest your hands on your knees trying to calm your uneven breathing, âNice kill sis!â Loâak praises, hitting the back of his head in response annoyed by his joking in a serious situation.
âGuys go! go!â Neteyam shouts, redirecting your attention to the avatar shooting at the three of you. Once the four of you reach cover you take the gun out of Loâakâs possession, firing back at your attackers.
âLoâak jump go!â You order and be wastes no time jumping off of the ship into the water below, the other two boys following right behind him. You stay behind continuing to fire bullets at the group shooting at you, youâre out numbered now. Quickly reciting a prayer to Eywa you dive into the water.
When you emerge from under the water you gasp at the stinging sensation in your shoulder.
âOh shit y/n.â Spider gasps and everyoneâs attention is on you in an instant. You feel yourself being pulled onto an ilu as your eyes start to feel heavy. âY/n hey, hey, stay awake ok?â Loâak pleads as he cradles you in his arms.
ę§ę§
âWatch her head! Watch her headâ You hear someone frantically yell. You gather that youâre being pulled onto some form of land. Feeling strong hands grasp your shoulders examining your body, your eyes flutter open. âBabygirl? Hey sweetie keep your eyes open for me yeah?â
You feel heavy, your eyes are clouded with tears, everything hurts. As you blink in and out of consciousness you notice everyone is hovering around you in a circle, and a new figure emerges.
âOh my sweet girl, Eywa please.â She begs âMomma iâm scared, I want- I want to go home.â You choke out, through the pain getting worse and worse by the second. âWeâre going home baby, weâre going home.â
Your eyes unfocus from the world around you.
You can hear cries from over you but you no longer have the energy to inspect it.
ę§ę§
Your eyes open to Tsireya and Ronal kneeling over you. You groan at the light beaming painfully into your eyes. âShe is awake, everyone she is awake!â Tsireya calls out and in an instant your family rushes in.
Your mother walks up to you falling to her knees at the sight of your hurting figure. âThank you great mother, thank you.â Hot tears fall from her face onto your chest as she litters kisses on your forehead.
Looking to your other side you see your dad staring at you with puffy eyes and tear stained cheeks. âDad itâs ok, iâm ok now.â You reassure. Your voice is hoarse and dry, from the lack of talking youâve been doing.
âIâm just happy so youâre safe baby.â Your dad says sending you a close lipped smile. Using all the strength in your body you extend your arms out to your family, inviting them into all into a hug.
Your parents place their foreheads on yours, your brothers hold each of your hands, and your sisters rest their heads on each of your legs.
Melting into your familyâs embrace, burning this moment into your memory.

(I alr started writing the fic and I actually really like it for my first angst ficđĽ°)
