@nothingbuteves What reallyyyyyyyyyy fucks my brain up is the bare bones support for Black lives. 

The Twilight community will gladly point out all the problematic things going on in the books but then, for some reason, not post about any other struggle. 

Even in the @broturi, I’ve seen posts about how many members are out protesting and whatever instead of posting about resources to educate yourself. If you cared, you’d be using every platform you have been blessed with to support causes. 

OR if they did post any resources, they stopped. Because, it seems, the Twilight community (just like many other communities) need to be CONSTANTLY reminded of Black struggles. Wait no, I’m sorry, I mean the murders. The violent murders. 

I’ve had many Twilight blogs come to me personally and voice their support, but where are they? They’re back in their little corner, laughing about how shitty Twilight is. 

How long have I been doing this? 

Since May fucking 27th. 

And I’m the one this affects the most.

I shouldn’t have to beg the people in the Twilight community to help support BLM as well as other important causes. It makes me feel shitty asking for these people to care. Because they don’t. Let’s be real. They don’t. And if they do, it’s not for long enough.

If you point out that they should/could be doing more? They get aggressive. 

The “IM NOT RACIST” type of aggressive.

I can’t wait to see the reaction of the broturi. They’ve kicked out racist white people before but I would love to see how they deal with a racist non-Black POC. Genuinely. I sent them a message asking them to judge the situation fairly and told them about this post that shows the racism she has expressed and how it all went down:

So hopefully, they’ll judge fairly and get a generally toxic person that is also racist (”All lives matter!”) out of their huge group, because I’ve talked to many of them and they have been alright towards me....but who knows. It’s a clique.

You can say all you want about twilight and the racism involved with it. Because there were racist aspects. But boy am I just relieved that the native Americans were played by people who look like they could be native Americans.

I’ve decided the Cullen’s have so much money because Edward plays really good poker because he knows which cards everyone has. And Alice can predict which machine she’d hit the jackpot on. So they just hustle the gambling game.

I have currently just finished reading all of the twilight books over again and I thoughougly just want the movies to be remade into like 6 hour movies. I want a new moon where I see Bella and jake bike through the woods for hours and I want to see more jasper. The relationship between all of the characters in a more intense way. I’m struggling here.

If you want to say that twilight is the least well written piece of literature in the entire planet you, if you want to say the movies were terribly cringy and over all bad. Fine you’re probably right. But, if you think that I’m going to waste my time watching them in order multiple times in a row and re-read the books because I can’t stop myself from jumping head on into this revival. You would also be probably right.
