where: a lonesome paddock when: some unspecified date, 12:34am who: sofia habsburg & twila / @twilachhan
Sofia wouldn’t be lying if she didn’t admit her dissatisfactory thoughts to this town of Eureka Springs. The humans were rather mundane and fickle, although it seems a multitude of supernatural creatures had been drawn here — some she hadn’t seen in some time and it pleased her to be able to see them. After all she was a seasoned traveller of roaming the Earth, witnessed the rise and fall of empires, and yet it seemed that humanity hadn’t learnt their lesson throughout their time. Thus as she sat there upon the fields of green that surrounded her, she nursed a bottle of bourbon in her fingers as she began to take a long swig; savouring the slow burn that arose in her throat as her eyes ever watched the creatures that roamed through the shadows. However it seemed her peace and silence was to be disturbed as she heard the small steps of someone nearing her; the distinctive speed making them out to be something supernatural, and not of a human.
Without turning around, she began to take another long drink of her bottle before dryly stating, “Seems I never get some peace in this dreary town.”

Note
“ I believe that only the truly brave can look at the world and understand that all of it gods, men, everything else will end badly. No one will be saved. ”
No one would be saved. How ironic that she should think these thoughts, especially since they were immortal creatures, no? Sofia glanced at the younger vampire before her, regarding her jaded thoughts with intrigue as she stated, “Perhaps it will end badly, but we’ll most likely continue roaming the earth as humanity gets wiped away.” After all, she had survived the witch trials, and the various trials that humanity had subjected their kind to — after all this time. “But I doubt I’d ever be saved from a divine God, if there was one.”
