Louis and marlon had the "we're bestfriends but would we hook up?" conversations

Clementine showed AJ what stickers were and the both of them decorated their room, other members rooms/weapons. Like Louis's "chair-les" or violets butcher knife.

Ruby was the first to volunteer on fixing up the greenhouse. Now grows herbs and vegetables there.

They still celebrate Christmas, easter, helloween and such things like that

Clementine secretly searches and hopes on finding a walkie talkie.

The group collectively decided to create their own calendar from the moment they saw snow. Started at December. So now sometimes in their spring there are blizzards (they know the dates are wrong but they don't care and don't know how to fix it)

Willy has a weird obbsesion of just watching/obbserving people as they do their things.

Tenn makes his own oc's. Writing backstories, drawing them. Sometimes even makes dolls so him, Minnie, Sophie or whoever participates could act out a puppet show.

Ruby is the mom of the group.

Whenever Louis teases Omar a bit too much, he purposely fucks up Louis's dish with too much salt or no spices at all.

If AJ was born during our timeline he would have been an ipad kid (I'm not sorry)

Violet as a child always wanted legos.

While scavenging the teens found booze and stocked up wine. So they then decided to celebrate everyone's birthdays at once. Many threw up.

Brody had crippling anxiety whilst growing up. And was sent to the school because her parents were unable to understand what's "wrong" with her

The group made their own stereotypical american prom and the couples had their first slow dance. Such as Clementine with Louis/violet and assim with ruby.

On Tenns and Minervas funurel Violet and Louis, together as a duet, performed "don't be afraid".

Assim writes romantic letters to Ruby, leaving them at her door. She keeps all of them, hanging most on her wall.

Louis calls brody and ruby ginger non stop. He was beat up for it.

TWDG S4 characters when a bubbly Y/N is sad

Violet

She’d find you a bit strange and would tease you but in honesty she loves how bubbly you are

Whenever life gets her down all she has to do is spend some time around you and she feels better

She notices instantly when you’re upset tho and will give it a few minutes before coming up to you

“Hey. What’s up? Why are you all depressed?”

But fr tho that’s her job 😞 LMAO SORRY

But you’ll open up to her and she silently nods along

Whatever it is she gets it

“Yeah…it sucks sometimes…”

She won’t say much but she offers to go somewhere more private so you two can chill and just complain to each other

She’s not all that good at comfort but she’d really try

When your back to normal she’d have a small smile on her face

“Ya happy again now?”

She’d be a bit upset if you’d want to go right back to being around everyone else but she’d join you anyway cuz she’s just happy to see you smile again

Mitch

He doesn’t really get it I mean how can anyone be happy living like this? I mean sure it’s manageable at times but it still sucks

He’d never on his life say it but he does secretly enjoy how happy you are even if he’d tease you for it

When he sees you upset tho I’m so sorry but this man is useless here

He doesn’t notice at first but after Willy or someone points it out he picks up on it and worries a bit

However he just hopes you cheer up on your own and doesn’t say anything

But he does watch out for you in the corner of his eye

He just assumes if it’s really bad you’ll come to him

Cuz he won’t come to you unless your both alone

When you do tell him what’s up he’s still not very helpful

“Damn…that sucks..”

He does care he’s just rubbish at showing it

He will let you stay with him but be warned you’ll both be sat in silence if you’re not in a talking mood

But when you do cheer up he’s relived

again, not that he’d voice it

“Happy again huh?”

Marlon

Marlon finds you to be a breath of fresh air, he always has a gentle smile on his face when your around

He’s happy that you can bring the others up too cuz a happy group is a good group yk

Plus you keep him calm too

So when he sees his usual happy friend down in the dumps he’s very confused

What happened to you?

He watches you for a bit then walks over to you and asks if you’re ok and if ya wanna talk

Hell take you up to the office and will listen to you explain why your upset

He listens and offers some advice and comfort

He’ll let you stay with him for a bit and if you like dogs yk he’ll get rosy to give you some comfort hugs and all

He just has normal conversations with you and will say that he hopes you cheer up soon cuz what would they all do without your positive ways

When you cheer up he’ll have a big smile and if your ok with it he’ll pull you in for a hug and definitely does that back pat and rub (yk the that you do to a friend or family to either be like heyy! Or ok that’s enough now)

Louis

HELLO YOUR BASICALLY THE ONLY OTHER PERSON THEIR WHO CAN MATCH HIS ENERGY

Like he needs to see you all happy and lively because that makes him more happy and lively too!

And this mf he instantly knows when you’re down and he will come up to you and just say “aww what’s wrong (name)? You gotta turn that frown upside down!” He might even pull an over the top sad face too

Depending on what kinda person you are this either kind of works or makes it so much worse

If he does realise that he’s not helping he panics a bit like

“Oh no- they really are sad…what do I doooooo?? This is badddd…”

He’s not all that good in serious situations and will try healing you with comedy and laughter

He’ll tell jokes, tease the others at Ericsson’s

Anything to cheer you up

Heaven forbid the moment you actually do cuz this mans energy is amplified by 100

“is that a smile I see?? So mx grumpy finally cheered up? Ha well it seems I’m just the best at curing sadness.” He acts all cocky but he’s just joking

He’s very pleased to see ya back to your regular self again

Aasim

Aasim always found it curious how someone so happy could exist in a world like this

But he’d be lying if he said he didn’t like it

He can’t match your energy but he does support your cheerful ways

He won’t voice it but you do cheer him up when he’s having a bad day

He’ll give it a few minutes but after a while he’ll cave and awkwardly walk over to you

He just waits for you to feel better and is thankful when you do

This man is grateful that you’re the way you are even if he doesn’t voice it a lot

He’s also a silent observer so when he saw you where upset he just quietly watched you

I think he either doubts how good he is at comforting or he’s too preoccupied but he’ll still watch you for you

He’s kinda hoping it’s just a off day and you’ll perk up again in a while

He waits to see if anyone else will check up on you or if you’ll come to him

But if enough time has passed and both of those didn’t happen he’ll slowly make his way over to you

He doesn’t say much but he listens to you

The few times he does speak it’s either reassurance or advice

He will stay with you for as long as he can and if he had to start cooking again he’d let you stand next to him while he does so

When you cheer up again he wont say much but he has a smile on his face

Ruby

Ruby fully appreciates your bubbly ways and she will usually match your energy when she can

She really thinks you totally brighten up Ericssons!

But today you were acting totally different and she could just sense it

Like there was a shift in the air she just picked up on before she even saw you

Since she gives me like mother friend vibes she totally instantly goes over to ya

Are you ok hun? Ya seem down? What’s happened? Do ya need some space?

She’s there and she will listen to ya 100%

She does whatever she can to be supportive and she might tell a few rubbish puns to make you smile again

She’ll get all protective of ya too like if anyone tries to annoy ya (which I doubt anyone would but yk just incase) she will get so mad at them she’s shout at them and scold them so much

She’ll either stay by you till you cheer up or will give you the space if you need it but the moment she sees that smile she loves so much and that cheery personality she adores she’s matching that happy face

Brody

This girl loves how bubbly you are it’s such a nice change of pace from the usually rubbish day to day apocalypse life

You don’t know how much you can cheer her up and make her feel more relaxed

So she was super quick to notice that you where sad

Huh that’s (name), why arn’t they all happy?? Where’s that lovely smile gone??

I don’t think she’d straight away ask if you where ok cuz maybe you needed some space? I mean it’s normal to get upset now a days but this isn’t like you

She’d ask the others like Marlon if they noticed that you’ve done a total 180

She’d still stay put but keeps a close eye on you and after a few minutes of watching you mope around she’d walk up to you and ask if you where ok

After you tell her what’s got ya so bummed out she’d do anything to get that smile back

She’d listen to you, give you advice if you wanted it, she’d give you a hug literally anything!

She’d also try to distract you by planning some made up road trip (a beach trip if I remember correctly??)

She needs to see her friend go back to their bubbly self 😞

Once you do cheer up she just sighs in relief man she’s happy you’re back to normal lmao

do you have any personal headcannons for what some of the ericson kids home lifes were like?

Louis: He had a very privileged upbringing but also grew up in a very controlling household. Image is everything. Everything that he did was watched and critiqued by his dad and if he wan't good enough he didn't receive love and affirmation. His mom didn't agree with his dad's way of parenting but she didn't speak up for Louis. Louis' lack of self confidence and self love were caused by his upbringing.

Violet: She had a horrible upbringing. She had some people that were safe to her like her grandparents and her mom as well when she wasn't completely burnt out. But her dad was an abusive drunk who made her childhood hell. She had pockets of time where it was safe like being at her grandparents but the rest of the time she was in an intense abusive setting that she felt like she would never escape. Her defenses and the walls she puts up around people are an outcome of her life growing up.

Sophie, Minnie and Tenn: They had a really good home life. Their parents were really nice and loving but they died and for years the three of them were tossed around in the foster system. No one wanted to adopted three kids and as a result they ended up at Ericson because the system didn't know what to do with them.

Omar: He had very strict, hardworking parents so his home life had very much the same mindset. His parents loved him but didn't necessary like him. They blamed their inability to connect to be something wrong with him. Those "problems" being his quietness and lack of showing strong emotions. Thus they sent him to Ericson.

Aasim: He lived in a household that held him to very high expectations. He went above and beyond in reaching those but he could not hold back his love of fire. He ended up setting something on fire in the neighborhood and greatly pissed off the neighbors who threatened to sue unless his parents sent him somewhere.

Ruby: She had a very loving and accepting household. Her mom passed away when she was young which left her with her dad and her many brothers. Most of the time everything was great but once her anger issues started showing up then problems started happening. She punched a kid so hard they pissed themself all over the playground and so Ruby was sent to Ericson to learn how to be a proper lady.

Brody: She had the most normal, boring upbrining. She lived in a very plain household. Her parents had a kid because "that's what couples do" and so there was always a disconnect between her and her parents. Her anxiety was something very alien to them and they couldn't relate. When her anxiety kept getting worse they kept getting more frustrated and decided to send her to a school to "fix" it.

Mitch: He grew up in a low income household. His mom passed away when he was young and so his dad tried his best to raise him but it was a struggle. His dad had his hands full with just trying to get bread on the table so when Mitch started picking fights over neighborhood kids teasing him about his face and when he blew something up his dad didn't know what else to do but send him away.

Willy: He grew up with a more conservative family. So when he started touching himself they thought he was possessed by the devil. Prayers and church weren't working and they found a brochure for Ericson so they sent him there, partly to try and help him and partly to get rid of him because they were creeped out by him.

Marlon: A very all American household, white picket fence, working class but getting by, very patriotic. His dad voted for Trump. His mom didn't vote because that's not a woman's place. It was a miracle he turned out pretty okay. He had bad anxiety around things surrounding school like tests and sports. So one day he decided to steal a car to blow off some steam. He got caught with that stolen car that he took for a joyride. So to Ericson he went!

I think Clementine's would be Crawford (based on the scrapped internal name for her)

Kenny Hammon (+ Katjaa and Duck)

Lilly's actually would've been Caul if they stuck with her originally being Lilly Caul from the novels and the comic. I still HC her and Larry with that last name to this day.

Carley's would probably be Vigil (after her VA, because slay <;3)

Doug is based on Doug Tobacco, a former Telltale employee, but I feel like our Doug would've probably Jones

When I came up with these I was thinking of a Modern/No Apocalypse AU, so:

Louis would be a Sullivan to me.

Marlon gives off Anderson.

Violet gives Thompson vibes.

Tenn and his sisters give Rodgers energy.

Ruby is from the South like me so I HC her with a name like Harrison or Simmons.

Aasim is based on Telltale's Aasim Zubair, but I HC him with the name Barman.

Omar is a God, so I bless thee with the surname Hendricks (and NOT because it a reference to Kendrick Lamar)

Mitch gets the last name Williamson, because my best friend growing up had that last name lol

Willy gets Johnson because it's a double entendre lol.

(BONUS) - Luke gets Porter because we like Scott Porter here lol - Nick would probably be Randall, like his Uncle Pete because I doubt his mother was married. - And I dubbed Travis "Hoffmann" because why not, kek.

Currently thinking of an 'Ericson Family Road Trip' where instead of defending against the Delta, the kids take the offense and get out of dodge before the raiders can gear up and attack. Clem taking the long way around to New Richmond just to avoid the Delta and any other warring faction (〜￣▽￣)〜

Not much of an ask I know. I guess the 'ask' part would be how you think the season from Episode 2 onwards would've played out in that route lmao--

Interesting! If I remember right, the original idea for the Final Season was a kind of road trip, and I do think the group deciding to flee would make a lot of sense.

If things went this way, it would really emphasize the disparity between Clementine and AJ's survival experience compared to the Ericson kids. While the Ericson's kids have definitely suffered a lot, I can't help but feel that they've gone through the apocalypse somewhat sheltered compared to Clementine and AJ. They lived in an isolated school with solid brick walls and plenty of opportunities for food. Clementine would really be taking charge here, trying to teach them how to survive out in the wilds of the world.

Since it's a road trip I wouldn't want to go TOO dark with it, but if I were writing this I'd definitely give the group some exposure to the darkness of the apocalyptic world. Cannibals, massive herds, disputes between rival groups. There's a lot they'd need to learn to stay alive.

I don't think I'd have any major human antagonists, since I think that's an overdone thing in zombie media to have humans be the main threat, but I would include some ideas of "survivor politics." How do Clementine and the Ericson's crew handle running into other groups of survivors? Do they make contact, or try to hide? Do they let people join them on their trip, or stay exclusive? What if the place they try to use for shelter is claimed by someone else? Even without the other survivors being bandits, there's a lot of tension to negotiate in any encounter with other humans in the apocalypse. Some might be more friendly, some might be less.

I think a major theme would be the Ericson's kids "reintroduction to the world." None of these kids have really seen the outside world since they were sent to the school. How do they deal with adults after so long on their own? How do they handle knowing the world they knew is truly gone forever? Imagine Ruby scavenging the ruins of a fast food restaurant, part of a chain she and her father always used to go to. What kind of memories would that dredge up? Not to mention, these kids have been alone since the oldest of them were only around eleven. What kind of culture have they built for themselves, and how does it interact with other communities? For example, they seem to be making use of human bones for fishing spears. Maybe it's normal for them, but how would other survivors react to them "utilizing" corpses in that fashion? A lot to consider for something like this, though maybe I've made it more serious than it needed to be XD.

Y'know, I have so much useless knowledge about the Clementine comics stored in my brain after rereading them over and over again and studying them as if they're literature with layered subtext.

I mean... there is subtext that bleeds through different veins but my point is I'm so sorry that the comics are Like That™ because Amos you would've adored Ericson.

Amos would've been in awe of the school. He would've walked inside, looked at the mess, and unprompted, would've started cleaning. He would've repaired anything he got his hands on, and he would've done it happily.

Amos would've gone on fishing and hunting trips with Clementine and AJ to marvel at the beauty of the woods.

He would've called Vi "Miss Violet" just for the funny, annoyed face she'd make. Violet would get so frustrated with his cheery attitude about everything until she saw how engaging he was with Tenn and his art and okay fine maybe he's not the worst.

Amos would've had the biggest crush on Ruby. He'd think her hair was the prettiest color he's ever seen and tell her how her eyes shine when she laughs. He would've tried wooing her with his stories of Helen, his horse, and he'd jump at every chance to help her in the greenhouse. Aasim would watch them from his desk like, ".........I know stuff about horses, too."

He would've listened to Louis play piano with undivided attention and clap after every song and ask for another. He'd insist Mitch teach him how to flip and toss a knife like he does. He'd play fetch with Rosie every day. He'd teach AJ, Tenn, and Willy about how cool planes are and how he one day he'll get to ride in one. He'd be so damn nosy about every Omar cooks.

But no, instead he got pushed off a mountain by the most underdeveloped villain I've ever read about... good thing he's definitely coming back as a twist villain in Book Three, amirite? I can't wait.

Clementine ran her hand down her face. She heard Mitch let out a groan, before he sat up.

“What happened?” Asked Mitch, looking around.

The group was split in two, the older boys in one cell and the girls and younger boys in the other.

“Well, Tenn got caught, you tried to save him, got knocked out, Willy, Omar and Aasim got caught, Louis, Violet and Ruby got knocked out, AJ was captured, and I got shot.” Said Clementine, looking at the guard, “What?”

“Minnie.” Gasped Violet, hurrying forwards.

Clementine sighed, of course Lilly would send Violet’s girlfriend.

“Lilly wants to talk to you.” Said Minerva, getting a huff from Clementine, “Hey!”

“Hmm, what?” Clementine looked up, “Wait, you’re talking to me?”

Minerva glared at Clementine, “Who else would Lilly want to talk to?”

“I dunno,” Snarked Clementine, “you look like you have the intelligence of a goldfish.”

Minerva flushed, her face curling into a sneer.

“Minerva.” A dark-skinned woman stepped in, “Get her to Lilly.”

Minerva huffed, before wrenching the cell door open, grabbed Clementine and hauled her out of the cell.

“Where are you taking her?!” Yelled Louis, rushing towards his cell’s door, only to get the butt of a rifle to the face.

“She’s alive.” Everyone looked at Violet, “Minnie’s alive.”

“Violet.” Mitch got to his feet, “I think we have more important things to worry about.”

The group sat up, hearing someone approaching, all sat up. They saw Minerva shove someone into the girl’s cell. Ruby gasped, rushing towards the person.

“Clementine!” Ruby helped her up, “What happened?”

“I,” Clementine coughed, “I ran my mouth, I think.”

“You think?!” Ruby glared at Clementine, “What did they want?”

“They,” Clementine coughed, “they wanted information on the New Frontier, the group they’re at ‘war’ with. Lilly heard I used to be part of them, wanted me to,” Clementine let out a throaty cough, “to get them to lower their defences.”

“Why didn’t you?” Asked Violet, “We could get killed.”

“I’m not really open to people choking me for information.” Spat Clementine, wincing as she shifted.

“What’d they do?” Asked Mitch, frowning.

“Oh, the usual.” Clementine winced as Ruby prodded a bruise, “Beatings, cuts, the of threat of rape.”

Everyone looked at her, “What?”

“How the hell are you so casual about this?”

“Well,” Clementine scowled, “threats become a lot less frightening when you’ve already experienced them.”

Clementine opted to ignore the horrified looks from the others.

They watched Clementine get hauled off again, with AJ attempting to bite one of the guards, and get backhanded for his efforts. As soon as they were gone, Mitch looked at Louis, “We need to find a way out of here.”

“How?” Asked Louis, frustrated, “We don’t have any way to get the lock open.”

“Minnie can help us.” Said Violet, getting a scowl from Aasim.

“Violet, I know you’re excited to see her,” Said Aasim, “but if she wanted to help us, she would’ve done it by now!”

“You don’t know that!” Snapped Violet.

“Then why hasn’t she!” Demanded Aasim, “Why didn’t she escape? Why is she alone?”

“What’s going on?” They heard Minerva’s voice.

“Minnie.” Everyone heard Violet’s tone change.

“Where’s Clementine?!” Demanded Louis, banging on the cell’s door.

Minerva ignored him, instead focusing on Violet, “Lilly said I can take you out of here.”

Violet looked conflicted, glancing around, “W-what about the others?”

“They’ll get out too, when they stop fighting back.” Answered Minerva, opening the cell door, “Tenn can come out too.”

Eleanor frowned, Javi had sent her and Conrad with Clint and a group to meet representatives of the Delta. They’d unexpectedly gotten in contact with them, requesting a meeting. Javi suspected it might be a trap, so the small group was secretly reinforced by a larger group hidden in the surrounding area.

“Hello?!” They heard a voice.

Eleanor was vaguely aware of Max aiming his rifle in the direction of the voice.

“Hello?!” The voice repeated, as a ratty looking man appeared, “The name’s Abel. I’m here representing the Delta.”

“What do you want?” Demanded Conrad, glaring at Abel.

“A trade.” Said Abel, “You’ve got one of ours, Raphael, and we’ve got one of yours.”

As he said that, Abel threw something at Conrad’s feet. Frowning, Eleanor picked the object. She froze, recognising Clementine’s hat.

“That’s…”

“She’s alive,” Promised Abel, “for now.”

“She left.” Dismissed Max, “She’s not one of ours.”

“Neither are the people we caught her with,” Said Abel, “but, I doubt you’d want her boy to suffer like she has.”

“AJ’s alive?” Max looked at Eleanor.

“For now.” Said Abel, “You’ve got other prisoners we want back.”

Eleanor sighed, before looking down, “We’ll see.”

Javi looked at Clementine’s hat, frowning.

“Are you sure it’s Clem’s?” Asked Kate, looking at him.

“Positive.” Answered Eleanor, “They mentioned that they had AJ too.”

“Did they say what they were doing to her?” Asked Javi, looking at Max.

“No.” Max shook his head, “You don’t think they’ll hurt AJ?”

“I wouldn’t put it past them.” Sighed Javi, looking around, “So, what do we do?”

“What do you mean?” Asked Kate, frowning.

“We might like Clem, but can we really justify letting people go, just to save someone who left us?” Asked Javi.

Everyone was silent.

“If we don’t,” Said Eleanor, “they might kill her and AJ.”

“But, if we let Raphael and his friends loose,” Said Max, “dozens more could die.”

The group fell into an uneasy silence.

Clementine grunted as the guard threw her back into her shared cell.

“Clem!” Louis rushed forwards, “Are you alright?”

“What’d they do?” Asked Ruby, helping Clementine up.

“I,” Clementine swallowed, “I don’t want to talk about it.”

She let out another groan as Ruby helped her into a sitting position, “They,” she coughed, “they said the contacted the New Frontier.”

“S-so, we’re getting out of here?” Willy sounded hopeful.

Clementine ran a hand down her face, “No. Even with their new management, they wouldn’t risk losing their people to get one person.”

The sound of someone approaching the cells drew their attention. They saw Violet and Minerva walking behind Delta member.

“Remember your instructions.” Said the Delta member, before walking away.

Clementine straightened up, “Vio-” Clementine was cut off by Violet punching her. Clementine grunted as she hit the floor, with one of the girls landing a kick in her side.

“What the fuck?!” Screamed Louis, “Stop!”

Minerva took a step back, allowing Violet to take fully control of Clementine’s…interrogation. Minerva watched as Violet broke Clementine’s leg, hand and arm. After landing more kicks in Clementine’s side, Violet stepped back.

“That,” Clementine coughed, before glaring up at Violet and snarling, “was pathetic.”

Violet landed a kick to Clementine’s face, as Minerva spoke, “Michael said she isn’t going to need clothes for the next part.”

Violet hesitated, before grabbing Clementine’s jacket and pulling it off.

Clementine groaned as they left, leaving her and the rest of the Ericson’s group alone.

“Clem?” Ruby hesitantly approached hr, “Are you okay?”

“I’ll be honest, I didn’t wake up and expect to be raped in front of everyone.” Clementine voice was tired and hoarse, “Did anyone see where they put my clothes?”

“You’re…” Ruby trailed off, “You’re remarkably calm about this.”

“I’ve seen and experienced it all before.” Clementine winced as she shrugged, “I really hope my arm and leg aren’t screwed.”

Clementine looked over at the other cell, James had been caught shortly after them, “How’s James?”

“He still out.” Said Aasim, looking away from Clementine, “He’s still alive though.”

Louis managed to hook Clementine’s clothes with his foot, before bundling them up and tossing them towards Ruby, “Here.”

Ruby nodded, before helping Clementine get dressed, before resetting her broken bones.

“Clem,” Mitch got her attention, “when there were moving you, did you see anything that could help us escape?”

“No,” Clementine winced, “they’ve got all obvious escapes blocked off, I heard from one of them that they’re near Richmond, but, other than that, there’s no way off this boat.”

“Do you think Rosie’s okay?” Asked Tenn, speaking for the first time since he’d been thrown back into the cells.

“Hopefully.” Said Aasim, letting his mind wander back to the dog.

“I can’t believe we’re actually doing this.” Javi decided to ignore Max, they’d made a rudimentary blockade around the ship, as well as massed a massive group to seize it.

“I didn’t hear you complaining when we were planning it.” Javi smirked at Ava’s voice, she limped up to Richmond’s gate shortly after Clementine left, having survived her fall.

Conrad slinking towards them got them to go silent, “They’ve got a dog chained up in that Lilly person’s office. Clementine and her group are down in the cells.”

“Javi,” Eleanor murmured, “they, they said that Clementine had been… ‘passed around’. They said they planned on doing the same to her boy.”

Javi felt a wave of disgust run through him, “Okay,” he unhooked his bat from his back, “let’s go.”

Clementine winced as Ruby reset her fingers.

“What’s that noise?” Asked Omar, looking around.

“It sounds like…gun fire?” Louis frowned, “What’s going on out there?”

They received their answer when the door to the brig burst open and Minerva was being held at gunpoint.

“Max, get those doors open.” Clementine froze, she recognised the voice, but found she couldn’t remember the name. She spotted Max rushing to open the doors, with Louis surging past him and wrenching Clementine’s cell door open. Before he could reach her, Clementine saw Eleanor push past him.

“What are her injuries?” Eleanor looked at a heavyset red-haired girl.

“B-broken arm, leg and right hand, bruising and some fractures, I think.” The girl stuttered, as Ava joined them and helped Clementine up, getting her to release a groan.

“Dislocated shoulder.” Hissed Clementine, as Ava helped her walk.

“Ha!” Everyone looked at Louis, before he proudly held up ‘Chair-les’, “I thought they got rid of it.”

“Charming.” Said the owner of the familiar yet unfamiliar voice, “Clem, where’d you find these guys?”

Clementine winced, before looking at the woman, trying to put a name to the face, “…Christa?”

Christa let out a huffing laugh, “Nice of you to remember me, I only looked after you for two years.”

“…I thought you were dead.”

Christa sighed, “That’s fair.”

“We need to get them out of here.” Said Eleanor, interrupting the reunion, “I want to get her some proper medical treatment.”

The others silently agreed, “Javi and the others are rounding up prisoners now.” Said Ava, as she moved past the group.

“Yeah,” Called a man, “That guard dog Conrad saw was harmless.”

“Rosie!” Gasped Tenn, as the dog ran up to them.

Clementine winced, the painkillers Lingard had given her had worn off, they’d put her broken limbs in casts. Javi had told them that Lilly had killed Gabe when they captured her, part of her was heartbroken, she supposed that she still held some feelings for the dork. Louis had dropped by, mentioning that the group had decided to stay in Richmond, Clementine had suggested to Javi that some people go out and establish a foothold in the school.

“How’re you feeling, Clem?” Asked Eleanor, checking in on her.

“I’m alright,” Clementine shrugged, “still feeling a bit sick, but the dizziness has gone.”

“That’s good.” Eleanor nodded, “Look, Clem, I know you might not take this well, but we’re going to do a pregnancy test, just to be on the safe side.”

Clementine felt a surge of panic fill her, before she swallowed, “Okay.”

Eleanor sighed, before leaving the room. Meanwhile, down in the makeshift prison Richmond had, Violet sat quietly, despondent to her surroundings. Louis had given her grief for ‘betraying’ them; Violet couldn’t think of an excuse. They knew Minne longer? Minnie had murdered Sophie. Everything fell apart because of Clementine? The raiders were coming for them anyway. Louis had brought up that she was one of the three that wanted to keep Clementine and AJ around, Clementine had gotten shot while trying to save her, and Violet had turned on her like it was nothing.

Part of Violet wanted Minnie, she always knew the right thing to say, to do. AJ didn’t want to see her; Louis only came to talk to her because Clementine asked him. She remembered Clementine’s promise, when they tried to take AJ, promising to kill her if she touched him. Violet wanted to say she didn’t know what made her stop, but she did. She stopped because she knew Clementine wasn’t bluffing. She stopped because she knew that if she took AJ, she would’ve lost her friend. She stopped because she still cared. Clementine had made herself AJ’s shield, and while that didn’t excuse how Violet had aided in the beatings and, in a miniscule way, the rapes, Clementine placed herself as a barrier for her boy and, after they’d been captured, the rest of their group.

Clementine heard them talking about cutting out Louis’s tongue, so she ran her mouth, insulted them, called them weak for targeting someone’s voice. Violet remembered seeing the bite mark on Minnie’s arm, finding out Clementine had bitten her when they mentioned targeting Tenn.

“Hey.” Violet looked up when someone banged on her cell door, seeing Clementine being supported by Louis, “I could hear you grinding your teeth from the hospital.”

“Why are you here?” Asked Violet, trying to make herself angry.

“To talk to you, dumbass.” Answered Clementine, “I’ve spoken to Javi about getting you and Minerva some help.”

“What’s that supposed to mean?” Demanded Violet, glaring up at them.

“The two of you were brainwashed.” Shrugged Clementine, “I’ve seen it before, met a guy who was full on drinking the Saviours Kool-Aid. They used someone you loved to get you to see things their way.”

“I’m not brainwashed!” Yelled Violet, jumping up, “Whatever plan you came up with would’ve gotten us killed!”

Clementine gave her a flat look, “You do realise you’ve just proved my point, right?”

Violet glared at her, making Clementine sigh and gesture for Louis to help her out of the prison. Leaving Violet alone with her thoughts.

Marlon: “Shorter.” Marlon said with a smirk. He liked the dynamic it gave to a relationship. Plus, he loved being able to set his chin on top of his partner’s head, if he could. He always saw couples in movies or in books do it. “I just think it would look,” he hesitated to find the right word. “Sweet.” He finally settled on.

Louis: Louis smirked hearing the question, already knowing his answer. “Shorter.” He liked the teasing power it gave him over his partner. “I’ll have a walking armrest.” He teased with a chuckle when asked. Noting the way the others were looking at him, he cowered. “Uh, the same height is great too.”

Violet: Violet would smile at the question. “Taller or the same height.” The thought of looking up into her partner’s eyes seemed sweet, as well as being the same eye-height. There’s something that Violet just found charming about tall people. She would feel so loved by their hugs and affection.

Mitch: Mitch would smile. “Whatever. Doesn’t matter to me.” However, the thought of a shorter partner that he would kiss the forehead of gave his stomach a small burst of butterflies. But then again, he could go forehead-to-forehead with someone the same height. He thought it would be sweet. Cute, even. But he wouldn’t say that in front of anyone.

Aasim: Aasim would pause, considering the question. “It’s not a deciding factor to me, but the same height.” He smiled to himself. “Equality!” The others rolled their eyes at his corny joke, some even nudging his arms and scoffing teasingly. Truthfully, looking into his partner’s eyes was the most important thing to him.

Ruby: Ruby smiled to herself and giggled. “Taller.” Aasim shot her a glance, stunned, but said nothing more. “There’s just something cute about being able to look up at someone - literally - and feel their love for you. It feels so safe.” Unlike the others, she had definitely thought about this before.

Omar: Omar thought about it, ears growing warm as he weighed the options. “Shorter or the same height.” He finally settled on. “I just think it would be cute to have someone smaller than you to tease. Especially since you all always do it to me.” The group chuckled happily, some members cheerily embracing him in a side-hug.

You cheerfully walk over to him as he’s cooking and just lean on him

As much as she admires when your energetic she’s just stood there in shock

She already has a drink and some food ready for you when you wake up!

This girl is always on her toes with you
