Late on the game but here are my two cents for 11x19

BEWARE OF SPOILERS AND RANDOM THOUGHTS

1) No Carol always makes me sad, but so 11x19 got a better pacing than 11x17 and 11x18 and lots of screen time for other beloved characters so it felt like a final season episode to me. I liked it.

2) Even though TWD is trying to retcon smart walkers as they were never saw before (cough S1 cough), honestly? I think they did an okay job with it! Especially because we finally got someone talking about the different types of walkers - roamers and lurkers, for example - as they are categorized on the comics. I'm no fan of the comics but that's very important for TWD mitology, as loose as it is. That being said, it really was an okay job because made no sense the smart walker picking up a rock to hurt Jerry instead of just trying to, you know, bite him. Anyways...

3) 🥰 Aaron 🥰 Lydia 🥰 Jerry 🥰 Eugene 🥰 Lance 🥰 no need to say anything else just what a joy these characters and actors bring to me 🥰

4) S11C Daryl really is chanelling S1/S2 Daryl, isn't he? Last week I kind got it why he was behaving the way he did but I didn't like his interactions with Eugene. It was supposed to be funny but why TPTB tried to frame Eugene as a coward? That's not who he is. He hasn't been a self-interested coward in a long time. It's always nice to have little comebacks on final episodes like Aaron talking about Eric and the "Kingdom 2.0/King Jerry" bit but they have to make sense with what's happening on the present. Eugene changed so much, to have another member of TF not recognizing it and mocking him just felt..wrong. Please, Daryl, stop being an asshole. All the love to Eugene and his journey.

5) I'm really enjoying the little voice introductions Judith is doing on 11C, but I wish they decided to to that since 11A so every character got their spotlight. We only have 5 episodes left, so we'll probably see flashbacks from Carol, Maggie, Rosita or Gabriel and Aaron (OGs up to S5), and one for Negan (because), but that leaves so many people out!

And that's it! I'm really excited for next week because 1) TOMI IS BACK and 2) CARYL IS BACK! Yes, it's sad to be more excited about Tomi than about caryl, but I'm still positive. Tired and disappointed, but still positive.

So. I really don't know how I feel. I just feel numb. Mourning the loss of three thing being TWD, a show that dicked me about for 8 years but still helped me a lot. Carol, a character like no other that I will love until the end of my days who deserves the world and so much more and so much better. And Caryl, the ones who have helped me more than anything, who's ending again deserved so much more they should of gotten so much more. I think that's why I feel more numb than I'd thought. The I loves yous scene I'm ngl I felt like needed so much more. But it's more than I expected. But I still feel so unsatisfied. Out of all the characters, Carol and Daryl were the only ones, the only ogs left, that never got their happy ending which hurts more than anything. And still to the very last moment it makes no sense on why Daryl left the kids. Left Carol. After saying to Judith during the EP he wasn't going anywhere. But off he goes. The diolouge at the lake the I'm proud of you it made me hurt, she needed to hear that from him. The rest of it. It felt like a filler. Saying it'll be good for them if Daryl leaves, that Daryl wishes Carol goes with her, she looked upset about the job she is in but doesn't go. Makes no sense. Caryl still needed to be fixed as much as we got the i love you scene they were still broken. On several occasions they could of spoke this episode, during Daryl giving blood, while waiting for Judith to wake up from Tomi fixing her up. Even just a separate moment just one. For a talk to fix things.

I will miss Caryl so much, miss Carol and Daryl so fucking much. This numb feeling is not what I thought would be what I was left with but I can't stop crying because it hurts. For more reasons than more.

-yess yumiko coming in ready to fuck shit up, I missed her

My two cents about 11x17 and 11x18, in no particular order and full of spoilers as always..

1. So much stuff happening all at once! I guess that's what happens when you waste 16 episodes on meaningless arcs with unimportant side characters and/or forceful relationships for random spinoffs..

2. Talking about side characters, I miss Tomi. Please give me back my Tomi. I'm glad we had meaningful Lydia screen time though. Jerry + the kids and Eugene + his sense of style are always welcome too.

3. Caryl scenes were...okay, I guess. On its twisted way TPTB addressed some important things. I think everyone and their dog knows caryl is acting weird with one another (Aaron, Gabriel and Maggie looked pretty uncomfortable witnessing another silent argument between them). I'm hoping for a bottle episode so they can finally TALK about their issues and move on and kiss. I'm still positive. Cautious, but positive.

4. I won't dive on this but I liked to see a glimpse of unhinged S1 Daryl. Yeah, yeah, it's not healthy behavior, but I think the guy can be an asshole from time to time when he's under pressure. Yeah, he is a grown man and he changed a lot but he didn't got a brain transplant.

5. Where's Princess?

6. The Commenwealth is supposed to be this huge city but we keep seeing the same 30 people on the same square and half of them are really bad stormtroopers. Lance is the only character I value from their lot. Can't wait to Aaron and company finding out he killed everyone one on Oceanside.

7. TF: I'm not a Maggie fan but girl needs to rest. She's tired as fuck. I can't figure out if Gabriel and Rosita are still together or not. Negan is always inappropriately funny so that's covered. He's also part of the gang now we like it or not; everyone's pretty comfortable around him. Comfortable as possible, obviously, but still. And I'm tired of being mad about it.

I don't think I have anything else to say about these two episodes. I wasn't excited for them and I wasn't expecting any great storytelling so I ended up enjoying just because is TWD. I will always love this stupid show. Let's see what the next 6 weeks brings I guess.
