I blame you two entirely for this. I know I said that you two made me want to try poetry. And. Well. Here's that. Before i show this I must say that I have no idea how to write a poem and my brain is half asleep, so don't get your expectations up.

An untied noose tied to the ceiling,

A new pink chair sits under it.

You bought it because it was my favorite color.

I hate pink.

The rope sits as a taunt.

Why couldn't you tell me how?

If you teach me to hate myself,

Why couldn't you teach me to tie a noose for myself?

Maybe you already have.

Oooooooh....that's an interesting poem! And don't worry about not knowing how to write poems. I don't either, but just...try to follow your feelings, I guess.

I like the imagery this poem creates. I'm not sure why the colour pink, though...does it represent something, or is it just what it is?

This is a very personal poem, isn't it? I think an Author's Note would certainly be helpful, and I can't wait for your explanation! :)

In the meantime, I did enjoy it...keep writing!

it definitely leaves a lot of unanswered questions, but it makes me very curious to get an author's note or explanation to this as well.

i also just really like how the lines "you bought it because it was my favorite color. / i hate pink." are right next to each other. it feels like there's a lot of weight in those lines, even if i don't entirely understand what that weight could be. i have a few theories, but i'm not even sure how i'd describe them. all i know is that something like this comes from personal experience, and that's what i think really makes it touching.

do keep writing. and do feel free to explain this if you'd like to. you'll be able to really flesh out your style the more you write. so just go to hell with it. plus, i'd like to see what happens anyways.
