Ever since I deleted my old accounts (umbreonoveryonder, artistic-sluglord, daily-jevil, etc.) I haven’t publicly associated myself with anything m***ko related in a while since it is very problematic and others wanted to move on. This is more of an homage to the critical side of the fandom where they fixed characters with headcanons, one of them was making Kyou gay, which made me miss drawing Kyou. I don’t know if I’ll post the other drawings, but to everyone in the m*geko critical fanbase, thank you :)

    So I redesigned Calendula because I got inspired by the H-zbin Hotel redesigns and the many similarities between the 2 pieces of media and their creators. I noticed that some of the newer neon designs for Ok-gom’s characters are all over the place with too many unnecessary accessories, unlike one of their older creepy carnival-themed characters Lavinrac. So because of that, I selected some of the useless crap floating in the background and incorporated it into the design and made it semi-candy with some clothing inspiration from “The Big Comfy Couch” inspired look because it’s easier to draw and a lot of adult characters don’t have suspenders and that’s just crazy.  

      Cal’s overly optimistic but also gets tired easily (probably because of their long, baggy, and totally snuggly clothes). Their sword they never use much, they only have it because others have edgy weapons, plus the design was very cool looking to them.
