Reasons as to why I call Edmund Hewlett 'Starboy'. + Personal interpretations and Headcanons.

I like to call Edmund Starboy for a number of reasons. The main reasoning being, I personally feel as if the nickname fits him well. I also love to imagine that as a child Edmund had this same exact nickname due to his love for astronomy and such. In the series he is seen making little references to constellations, and astronomy and such, which I find absolutely adorable! He is also seen some of the times rambling about astronomy as well, so there's another reason as to why I call him Starboy!

Also the fact that I have a personal headcanon as to where Edmund has always wanted to be an astronomer growing up and has always looked up to famous astronomers and such, he gained this fixation after his father gifted him a telescope for his 10th birthday, his father used to always call him Starboy because of his strong fascination with the stars.

Also, another personal headcanon for him, I imagine that he was home-schooled throughout most of his childhood and would always get super distracted by books of astronomy, he would also get bad marks/grades while doing home-schooling due to his intense fascination with Astronomy, this baffled his father, but soon enough, his father caught on and tried to include anything about stars and such into the lessons to try and get Edmund to pay more attention.

During his time as a teenager, he often spent most of his time inside, reading books, writing poems and such. He never really had many friends growing up due to these few reasons. He also had a tendency to daydream and space out (pun not intended), causing him to lose focus on whatever he was trying to focus on in the first place. During his time as a teenager, he was known as a gifted child, very smart and rather intelligent in certain fields.

Also, another thing to note about Edmund, this is once again a personal headcanon. He grew up almost all of his life without a mother. His mother left when he was only 4 years of age, simply leaving him with his father. He never knew his mother due to this reason.

Whenever someone calls him Starboy he gets a huge whiff of nostalgia and so many memories end up flooding back in once, he can't help but smile every time someone does end up calling him this.

Also, mini headcanon totally unrelated to this, growing up he at one point had a pet duck named Waddles who he took literally everywhere with him, sometimes he'll open up his little sketchbook and simply just start drawing Waddles. He misses that duck greatly.

The fact that even now you can't stoop to his level is to your credit, Edmund. You're a good and decent man. So my only choice is to submit? If you're feeling trapped between the proverbial rock and the hard place, why not use the rock to smash the hard place? Last year, Simcoe framed you for murder and used rebel soldiers to try to kill you. Why not return the favor by using rebels that you've just been made aware of to kill him?

Turn Week 2024 - Day 3 - Imagine an encounter with another time period (the Salem Witch Trials)

Although with Turn, it probably makes more sense to try the group in a different w.ar setting, I thought this could still apply since people were fighting for their lives during the witch trials. In this AU, Ben is a reverend who doesn't agree with the m.urder of innocent people. With the help of his childhood friends, Caleb, Abe, and Anna, they start spying to find out who might be next, and then try to get those men and women to safety before it's too late.
