Coop is being built today which means no more indoor turkeys and I CANNOT wait because bringing them out and in every day has been a pain in the ass and I hate it

^after the bastard escaped one night and we went upstairs to investigate the thumping and found him just chilling on the stack of newspaper

#homesteading #turkeys are fairly docile but do not like to be manhandled #and theres nothing quite like trying to restrain a twenty pound bird #first couple days my arms were scratched to hell and back by their claws #and my boyfriend always manages to get a wing free to smack me in the face with it #but this is the last time once i get out of bed #as much as they hate being handled they still wait for me at the gate at night
