hey people,

to absolutely noones surprise, i will be officially archiving this blog since i dont really see a purpose with me writing on here anymore and i just want a fresh start. now that im no longer a minor, i definitely want to branch out into writing nsfw (and still sfw) fics, which i feel isnt suitable on a blog curated for mainly minors. I also want to write for new fandoms, so i think its best that this blog starts and ends with just haikyuu!!

but have no fear, i will still be writing and active on tumblr, just with a new url (even tho you’ll probably easily find me.)  i did love this blog, for the most part, and getting to know all the anons, followers and moots that i met. so yeah, it was fun whilst it lasted (although it technically only lasted like 8 months out of the 2 years that this blog has been alive.)

I think one of the worst parts about all of this + what I don’t see a lot of posts mentioning is like. How the common mindset is still that trans womens bodies are inherently perverse. The #transrights tag is trending and half of the top posts are misappropriated pictures of trans women (some explicit, some sfw, doesn’t really matter considering the pictures are stolen and posted with spurious intent) with generated captions and tags. One of the posts has been up since December, has no maturity rating and has garnered over 11,000 notes. In the notes are exactly what u’d expect to see (a thousand old men with default avatars who only have tumblr accounts for interacting with porn).

You would think maybe even tho surely they don’t care the accounts are dedicated to impersonating and exploiting people, maybe they’d be inclined to flag or take them down for female presenting nipples or something. Yeah idk what’s going on there but it’s interesting how trans girls are the ones being punished in any case regardless. Does anybody remember #girl being marked as like an explicit tag when the porn ban happened? Or like. What about the #lesbian tag being hidden on Instagram because accounts of a similar ilk were posting porn under that tag too? Women who deviate from bodily norms will continue to be disproportionately punished for our existence, while our bodies are simultaneously exploited (and guess what: they punish us for our own exploitation too!)

I guess what I’m trying to say is like yeah this is a transphobia issue. But it’s just as much a misogyny and racism issue. The problem is much bigger than Tumblr, it’s systemic and deeply engrained in our cute heads from the time we’re babies👶 it doesn’t start and stop at Tumblr mods flexing their transmisogyny muscles and deleting without just cause but it’s definitely a part of it. Oh and I will bet none of the highly bragged about “LGBTQ+ including trans” Tumblr employees responsible for overseeing these decisions are trans women lol come on matt photos your queerest company on the internet isnt THAT diverse

I get what you mean about the engagement between sfw & nsfw. It honestly just sucks to see sfw stuff not getting the attention it deserves, especially since i was planning to start writing on tblr and dont really know how to write nsfw. And it's either i do it here or wattpad, which is slightly seeming to lose ppl. Seems like sfw writers are losing motivation to write more and more. I like reading sfw stuff more now and feel like i keep running out.

that's completely okay! being a more vocal reader can be hard and it's definitely something you have to get used to. i used to rarely comment on fics because of my own anxiety that i'd say something stupid and that people would hate me.

like i've said in a previous response, it genuinely sucks for both sides. i know really good nsfw writers who get a ton of notes, but they don't get the personal feedback i do as a sfw writer. other sfw writers have said that they get the personal feedback, but they don't get nearly as much notes. i think readers on both sides could genuinely do better to engage with their favorite writers.

but hell yeah, i hope you enjoy writing when you start doing it! if you don't know (or want to) write nsfw, then it's completely okay to write sfw things. it's always a slow start when you start writing, but if you have the passion for it, other people will start to see that and start to appreciate it. starting is always the hardest part, but it's worthwhile in the end imo.

honestly? there's definitely pros and cons to wattpad. it definitely has a lot less mature readers (for lack of a better word, but also i was on wattpad at like... age 13-15 haha) i think, but i think i do see people engaging more because of the feature that lets them comment line-by-line. but wattpad (and ao3) are build more for writers than tumblr itself is. if anything, you could always use more than one? i've been considering crossposting my stuff on ao3 more and more lately, just to see how well it'd do.

on the topic of sfw writers leaving and there being less content: i think that's why engagement is important. this absolutely isn't aimed at you btw and is more of a general point, but i do kind of hope people realize like... just how disheartening it can be to lose that engagement.

my thoughts: i ride this books ASS for updates. my favourite bakugo au’s are fantasy (wit da dragoons) and were!katsuki (haluween). i fucking love it, i love their works. theyre busy with school (like i should be but scholars are all different-) trust me its so good. it has that good spice that make fill my heart with sexy uwuwuwuwuwuwuwus. love it.
