oh gosh, I WISH I remembered this - I don't reblog very much that isn't fanart, so I'm having a hard time recalling what post this would've been and what I might've said/added to it!

I don't think of Mark/Oliver as unrequited at all. That said, in The AM Archives specifically, we were not writing toward that ship - it wasn't the intention and we had no idea that Andrew and Kristian had that chemistry until we were recording the whole season all at once. And then we weren't sure if we were going to get another season at all! So there definitely was a period when I was more uncertain about it, mostly because it was unclear what the future would hold for any of the characters.

While they don't get together in The College Tapes, I do think that they very slowly figure things out in the months and years afterward. In the TCT planner (which is technically the last bit of canon that exists in the Bright Universe, in terms of timeline), there's heavy implications that they're living together - or at least spending a lot of time together - and I think all of us who made The College Tapes were thinking of them as a romantic ship when writing that show.

They both have buckets and buckets of trauma and unresolved issues (as did Mark and Sam - and their inability to work through it together/the way they first met and got together, etc. is one of the reasons they didn't ultimately work out) so I can't say what their future holds, but as far as I'm concerned, they're headed toward romantic involvement the last time we hear from them (or already there).

Okay I’m unsure about whether you meant if the series was good.... or the fandom? As in the community? So I’m just gonna talk about both.

Jujutsu Kaisen (JJK)

Currently I’m hella into jujutsu kaisen. I recommend you to both watch it and read it! The characters are so much fun!

The manga is not as much as the fun as it is blindly agonising because heck there’s a lot of angst that hits you but it’s really good. Painful but good.

The anime’s animation blows you away, along with its opening and ending! I’d rec you to watch that first if you want to get into this series.

For the series: It’s really, really funny and has epic moments and characters. It’s so enjoyable! The world, though, is a bit hard to understand at first. There’s still a lot, lol, that I don’t get. But yeah, would rec this so very much.

The fandom is really fun, and good to enjoy — active and hilarious and have so much good and amazing content! I’m mostly in orvcord — the eng orv discord which are so fun and I enjoy v much! It’s not really active here on tumblr, though but on twt.

Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint (ORV)

The omniscient reader fandom is really, really fun as well. There’s a webnovel and webtoon. The webtoon is going and I enjoyed both! I read the webtoon and was like. Okay, I can’t just stop there. The fandom is hilarious as heck. The characters are so, so lovable. My fav is on my icon — Jung Heewon. She’s just so <3333

I love this one so much because it resonates with me. It’s talks about readers, and stories and just — blows my mind every time??? The characters are so fun, as well. I feel like I mentioned that before, but anyways. It’s a slow start and gets a bit confusing — with me — at times with the world but I remember the first time I picked it up. I wasn’t feeling optimistic because this type of webtoons well... they are pretty much all the same and not my type but holy heck. I read that first chapter and I can recall my excitement and just. How it completely blew me away.

It’s about this guy, Kim Dokja who had been reading this novel for ten years and how it’s brought to life. It keeps you interested by how we never know the “ending” of the original story but Kim dokja does, and also the dynamic between him and the protagonist of the original story, Yoo Joonghyuk which is so good.

Mob psycho 100 (MP100)

Also — thinking about another fandom I posted recently. Mob psycho 100. Oh my god, okay so. I would rec this one so, so so much. It’s not even long! It has two seasons animated and holy heck. It’s so good??? So beyond good???? I can not stress that enough. The mangaka does fantastic character arcs and characters and just. It feels so real and so good. Also: the animation is out of this world. It’s so enjoyable and so so fun. I love it so much.

Okay, so. Possibly this might be the series that I enjoy the most. The artstyle might be hard to get to at first but ITS ALL HECKING WORTH IT. I have so much love stored in me for this series. It’s just. Wow.

Also: the brothers in this one tug at my heartstrings very much. They are so. Good. God, I love them so much. I have a grantee that you’ll love them. Well. Hopefully. Since you like Elrics.

It’s about Kageyama Shigeo who’s like has insanely god-like psychic powers and how he just wants to be popular and for the girl he likes to like him back. Okay, I know that sounds.... not interesting but I promise it is! It’s a really funny show and heck, just???? really puts out a nice message??? and tells it so well.

The fandom is a bit dead, though. I mean. I know there’s a lot of people out there but it hasn’t been really active? Though with the recent promise of a season three it has like SHOT UP.

I think I would rec this series firstly out of all of the ones I mentioned here and so much. It’s so fantastic!!!

Tokyo ghoul

I also reblogged stuff from this show. I mean. I do like it. Like love it a lot..... but this one gets a bit muddy??? Like. I feel its a hit-and-miss with this one. I would recommend the manga more than the anime because wow, it misses a lot of stuff and has basically.... a completely different storyline. But! The animation is really good, along with that first OP (insanely good).

The fandom is... pretty much dead, lol ‘cept me & my other two friends. Okay, lol, I do know they are definitely more people but — just not as active?

I would like half-rec this one. It’s not.... urghhh I’m just bad at explaining this. I do love it! It’s just. Idk????????? I would say to go and try it out! warnings: people eating monsters, it’s pretty gory, cabalism, torture, there is a lot of sucidal ideation and depression in here and also abuse and child abuse

I’m really not good with giving out warning for it, so I’d suggest looking up that before going in.

Ao no exorcist also called blue exorcist (aoex)

I’m not really in this fandom, right now but I wholeheartedly enjoy it very much. The characters are so lovable and so good. The series is FANTASTIC as well. It has both an anime and a manga. The anime is good but — highly verges off the manga at one point. I didn’t even know this, lol.

The anime’s....plot after the divergence is just. pretty bad. I mean. I did like some parts of it and did enjoy but didn’t know what the heck I was missing until I realised that it was all filler. The character arcs are so so much better — especially, Yukio’s. The manga is still on going and heck, must I say ITS SO GOOD.

I especially love the second season – that follows off from ep 18 ??? I think of the first season and is my fav arc so far in the whole series. The plot is so good! The characters so good! The artstyle so good! I just love it all around.

The fandom is small but pretty active (??). I gained many good friends from it <3333

So yeah, I would rec this one indefinitely.

Are you surprised? Why? This was a really interesting exercise! I was not keeping track of this before so it was cool to see what pieces of my writing people have reacted to most/least.

Some things surprise me, some things don't. I am not at all surprised, for example, that Papa Solas quickly became one of my most shared works. Nor am I really surprised that my top 5 are mostly works from Solas’ POV. I can understand why that kind of work can be more interesting and pleasurable to read than, for example, something from Lavellan’s POV. (You pretty much play the game through her eyes, if you play as a F!Lavellan, so I can see how reading Solas’ POV is more refreshing.)

I am a little bit surprised that the first DWC prompt I filled is up there in the top 5? I remember re-reading it the next morning and actually being a little embarrassed about it (if I recall correctly I had a lot of drunken typos to correct) but I’m glad that people are enjoying it! I do love writing Cole’s dialogue—his little speech at the end is (I think) the strongest bit of writing in that piece. 

I am not surprised at how There is Only Forward does, really. I update about 2-3 times a month, but the chapters are usually somewhere between 8k-10k words. I don’t really expect anyone to read 10k words on tumblr—I assume that most people who see it here follow the link through to AO3 and then respond (if they do) via kudos/comments instead of reblogging. I mostly keep reblogging here to remain accountable to myself, I guess?  But I do make an effort to post excerpts of the fic that I think are interesting/worthy on their own, and I am always surprised they don’t do as well; then again, I think most of my notes come from people following DWC, so perhaps it is not so surprising? 

I was surprised about the notes on the Vigil at Vir Vian. Before I went back and counted, I expected that one to easily be in the top 5. (It is not far off, but still.) Maybe this is because it is a little longer (I think) than some of the others?

Mostly I am surprised I don’t write more NSFW. I really thought when I joined DWC I was just going to write a bunch of really raunchy stuff and I kind of haven’t written like... any. Which obviously means I need to do that this week.
