Like a lot of us 😆 I saw a fan edit of Mickey & Ian on YouTube (I can't find it again even when I've searched my history 😭) I was kinda in between fandoms at the time with Malex from Roswell New Mexico but they were broken up at the time & buddie lol.

What surprised you most about this fandom?

Everything surprised me about this fandom bc it was my first one!! 😆 I didn't really know how to do tumblr & didn't really get how to interact. So I used tumblr like a sticker book, then came learning tags & so ppl reached out to me which helped me gain confidence haha

This is kinda a golden standard fandom. So welcoming, loving & encouraging!! If I ever dabble in another fandom, imma have a high standard bc I've been spoiled by y'all! ILY

5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?

I do! I try my best to reply to every single comment a person leaves on any and all of my fics, no matter how old! I hope it encourages them to KEEP writing comments, not just to me, but to any authors. Fic authors suffer a huge disparity between kudos/views/bookmarks and actual comments written. The ratio sucks so bad, actually, it's kinda disheartening.

There's a big difference between eating someone's homemade cookies at an event and giving them a thumbs up before walking away, and staying at the table to tell them how the texture and sweetness was PERFECT, and they don't even usually like snickerdoodles, but you made them so well, they want more and more, they're so glad you're at the event and so glad you brought your cookies!! -- like, that really is the difference between leaving a kudos and comment. Comments are my lifeblood.

I've also made great fandom friends in the comments section of my fics lol

6. What's the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

On loserchildhotpants the angstiest angst I ever wrote is in the Angst November collection for kylux -- none of them have happy endings, and happy endings are sort of my staple! It was fun to write a series of tragedies though. Beyond that, probably my kylux series Not About Angels

On someonetoanyone, probably The Levee Breaking, which is just a specific scene rewrite that offers an alternative to Despair where Cas' body is left behind by The Empty or One And Only, Time And Again which is endverse, so.....

A curious question! The HAPPIEST? Huh.... uh.

On loserchildhotpants probably Seeing Wolves (Where There Are No Wolves) or Madman and a Fool. The endings for both those fics are gooey and tooth-rotting lmao

8. Do you get hate on fics?

Yes! I have had to delete several fics in the past because the threats, suicide-baiting, slurs, and absolute vitriol was actually too much for my heart.

One of the reasons I made a new account was to outrun that sort of abuse. There were people that knew and fucking hated loserchildhotpants and among several other reasons, i decided making a new account was a good idea, but the hate i got on fics under loserchildhotpants was definitely a contributing factor.

I've had people be shitty about my fics on someonetoanyone in the bookmarks and on twitter and tumblr but not on the fics themselves.

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

i write so much smut sldkjfhsldkjfhksdhj now, i'm generally a p vanilla smut writer; some end-of-fic, on-top-of-the-covers w the lights on missionary stuff, but I've been widening my horizons as of late.

I went outside my typical comfort zone for Red, Red, Red (sterek), and Arrows Made of Desire (sterek), and I've got an unpublished WIP on someonetoanyone rn that's sitting in the drafts and it's... perhaps the most animal, insane, monsterfucking smut i've ever written lmao sdlkjfhsdkfjh but y'know, after writing so many years of original flavor smut, you wanna take up new challenges!

Like, im not into food play, so i would have never thought of it on my own, but someone prompted me w it and i was like '.... you know what, i bet i could write the shit out of that' and i did! lmao (the fic in question is on someonetoanyone; Lost In The Sauce lmao) it's not my usual gig, which made it exciting and new and fun! so, i'm usually v vanilla but i am starting to try new flavors lol

10. Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written?

I have not written any crossovers, but I'm attempting my first one! It's for a dear friend, and I'm trying to make it just right, but this is way harder than i thought it would be lmao

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Several! Oh my god, so many of my fics have been stolen, and I always find out through a reader. Someone always lets me know through a comment like 'hey, head's up, [x] has literally copy and pasted this entire work and replaced the names w their current ship' and every time my shit is stolen or reposted on different sites without credit, i see fuckin red, dude.

12. Have you ever had a fic translated?

Many! I was going to list them here, but it's actually a v long list lol if you look at my top kudos'ed fics on loserchildhotpants, you'll find several translations and podfics of those available, and i think maybe two of my fics on someonetoanyone have been translated as well : )

Sorta? We haven't published it yet, but once it is published, I'll have officially cowritten a fic lol check back in

i have stared at this question for 5 full minutes i have no idea sdkjfhlsdkfjh i can't choose!!!! i love them all so much T A T my top five IN NO PARTICULAR ORDER are probably destiel, bagginshield, kylux, spirk, and johnlock (this list being comprised of who i have read the most fic for - although, sterek also deserves a spot tbh)

15. What's a WIP you want to finish, but doubt you ever will?

I do not have an unfinished work currently that I have no intention of going back to. A few months ago, I went to loserchildhotpants and deleted all unfinished works that would not be finished, so if it's still up on AO3, it's JUST a hiatus and i WILL be returning to it someday

16. What are your writing strengths?

... uhhhh... huh. Does tangential, narrative metaphor count? Tbh I'm not sure. When folks have told me what they specifically like about my writing, the consensus has been that it 'feels like [i am] ripping [the reader's] heart apart and then tenderly putting it back together' and that my stories on the whole are 'satisfying.'

I have a certain speaking cadence, and I write like a talk, and I talk like I write, so people can usually hear it in their heads as they read. Whenever I am composing what I hope is a deeply emotional crescendo, it appears to land ?

Again, no idea what I'm doing there, idk the technical word for that. Maybe pacing? But it feels tied to diction too... composition ??? idk skdljhfksjdh if anyone's got an answer to this, lemme know

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

Exposition and character introduction skdjlfhslkdjhf too many years of writing fic have allowed me to neglect these skills and i'm really bad at them. i just hate exposition!! just let me psychically transfer the information to you!! how do i write out the rules of the universe in a way that doesn't feel like a boring info-dump ??? thiS IS HARD

19. First fandom you wrote for?

Back during my FF dot net days, I'm p sure my first fic was an Inukag fic for Inuyasha. Back in the day, I majorly wrote for Inuyasha, OHSHC, HP, Death Note, Star Trek and South Park. But yeah, I think the first time i was like 'i need these two to kissy kiss right on the LIPS' was when i was 10 and watching Inuyasha for the first time sljkdhfskjdfh

I see we do salty takes today, I want to participate! The shippers made me dislike r/k, bc they are absolutely vile to others. Sorry why are you being casually homophobic bc someone enjoys another ship. It irks me with r/j and I hated it with jack/k. Especially bc they started that shit before we knew anything about their relationship. I also think the break up was a good decision, I initially wanted them to get back together, but after watching them both not really bettering themselves (+crazy takes) I think maybe they're just incompatible. You can love someone and still not want the same things in life, or have your needs met by them

oooh please do participate yes!! to be frank I carefully curate my tumblr experience so I only see what I wanna see and I never ever go into the tags because I'm afraid of what I may find. However, I do see that shit on twitter (where I lurk but do not partake in fandom stuff) and some of it has been...alarming to say the least. As another anon said, i think since the finale especially certain people have really taken something as inconsequential as their ship not being canon as blanket permission to flat out bully and insult the creators & writers of the show as well as other people in the fandom.

Not to preachy-preach at y'all but for a show centered around kindness and learning how to be better for one another as human beings... some of you... well...

Anyway it sucks when people being mean tarnishes your enjoyment of a ship or even a non-ship related thing so!! I'm sorry and you are so valid for your opinion! hey everyone! I hope y'all are doing well? How's winter doing you guys? I'm sorry I've been M.I.A(haha) for the last couple of months. That wasn't part of the plan at all. I was so ready to be posting stories on here more that I had planned. I was going to post my next one about I.N in October after I had gotten back from a concert bc I was so excited for it. but I got the flu the following week and when I get sick, which hardly ever happens, I get sick sick. bad sick. after all that, without going into too much. my mental state vanished and I was not in a good place at all, it still isn't. mainly bc of eating and body issues. so I haven't been on the internet of much, like I would pop on tumblr here and there. hardly got on twitter, insta, fb, etc. the only thing I have been on is youtube, watching Markiplier. I'm hoping next year, I'll finally get therapy like I've been wanting and needing. but I'm doing a little better, I feel a little better today. enough to start writing and posting again. I'm okay, I will be.

so on to the stories that have been in my drafts since the middle/end of this year. let me tell you about some of them. I have 4. and for the person who sent in a request with chan, don't worry, I saw it! It's coming and I love your request. and for anyone reading this, my requests are always open, even if it takes me a min to see. even if it is just a small one, I would love to write something for you. writing in general makes me happy.

1.) Yang Jeongin - it's called love for an angel. basically it's ab a guardian angel(i.n) that falls in love with the human their protecting(the reader), which isn't supposed to happen and isn't allowed. angels are supposed to be invisible, but one day the reader sees him and fall in love. and yeah, I don't want to spoil too much but I absolutely love it and is probably one of my favs that I've been working on.

2.) Lee Felix - it doesn't have a title yet, still thinking of one. it's where felix and the reader are best friends and roommates(and they were roommates. did anyone see the tiktok update ab that vine and the story broooo). oh wow, shocking! and the reader tells felix that she's hasn't had great sex and felix offers to try and maybe help her out. it's short, but I'm pretty sure I haven't written something smexy for felix yet. and if I did, I probably didn't post it...memory is kinda foggy still.

3.) Hwang Hyunjin - it's part 2 to it's gonna happen. I've only written a few sentences. It was the last thing I worked on before going M.I.A, so I didn't get that far. I have bullet points of what's going to happen in the story(and so I don't for forget what I was going to write) and from the looks of it wont be as long as the the first part. just kinda of any update of what happens next in this story. don't worry, I wrote down in one of the bullet points: "a lot a smut scenes" ehehe

and 4.) Lee Minho - the story that I've been working on for the longest time and so proud of. and that still doesn't have a name! 🫠 sadly, it is still not anywhere close to being finished. I really want it to be good so I'm taking my time with it. I'll give WIP updates about it soon. rn, it has 4k words. like I'm at the part where the reader and lino are having their first convertion...this fic is my baby. I love it so much bc it has space, and I love space and the stars. I'm fully ignoring my fear of heights and big metal objects that go in the air or under/on the water.😀

but yeh, that's it. guessing what fics are coming out soon. felix and jeongin's most likely. then hyunjin's then....maybe not the lino in space one. pffft. next year, I promise!

I feel bad for all the nice J*nsa shippers who like their ship for whatever reasons (tropes, pretty art, aesthetic appeal, whatever) and know it's not canon but get associated with the misogynistic Dany hating crowd who act like Jon being attracted to Ygritte is J*nsa foreshadowing because red hair (I guess Jon should fuck Edmure Tully too? Omg give me Dark!Jon getting revenge on Catelyn by seducing her brother!) Tell me something. I'm new to the fandom but was J*nsa popular before the show? And I've heard something about the OG J*nsa shippers being alienated by the new shippers who insisted it had to be canon and acted like the series is called, "A song of J*nsa #danysux." I don't find that hard to believe because I know people who are now ashamed of calling themselves J*nsa shippers. Like, at this point, it's not only rival shippers who hate it. Even Gendrya/Braime/Jon stans/etc have started disliking that ship. You know your fandom is a problem when people who have nothing to do with Jnsa have a problem with it.

when I got into fandom also given what numbers were on ao3 one ship was popular and it was sansan. no like sansan was lit. the only asoiaf ship on ao3 with more than 200 fics. jb had twenty when i checked first. jc had like around 100-ish because of the show but sansan dwarfed anything. I posted the first jon/ygritte fic on the ao3 tag and the fourth throbb fic and like the others were all reposts from lj kinkmemes. nothing was popular before the show except for sansan when it comes to huge numbers bc grrm doesn't like fic and it was all hush hush until the show made it impossible to control and that ship was the one with a huge enough fanbase it actually had numbers, so like... j*nsa wasn't popular in the way nothing else was popular until it got screentime on the show

now, that stated, j*nsa had a... fair amount of fic for a rareship which was mostly book-based and from og shippers that were there from before the show and liked it for what it was but literally none of them thought it was gonna be canon, like it wasn't huge or anything but it had a small but dedicated fanbase who did their own thing and thought it was fun/liked the idea but that was it

that fandom had their own niche of hcs that they cultivated and shit except that like... at the end of S5/beginning of S6 there was a surge in shipping for... well obvious reasons bc it was obv sansa was getting to the wall and that would have been all nice and good but a) it was the time puritanical shipping was starting to take root and the 'shipping sansa with sandor or tyrion is hella problematic' rhetoric had started to circle coming from sans*ery shippers mostly but I'mma not open that fucking can of worms here, b) while the ending of S5 had more of a theon/sansa spike, the j*nsa stuff started getting big

now here we have to mention my villain origin story ie: j*nsa fandom had this one stan whose name I won't make because honestly it's been years and if she's still around I don't want her to remember I exist who was a bnf, wrote for... the website that created the whole larry/carol thing etc who was really fixed on this thing that j*nsa was actually canon and started writing extremely popular meta about it. now you're gonna ask how do you know, I know because this person once wrote a meta named 'why robb stark is a dick' and I told her that it was really fucking bad meta and she took it so badly she kept on trash talking me on her blog/her podcast (I was apparently the insane robb stark fangirl l m a o good lord) and like that was when some sane ppl who argued with her informed me in pvt that she was basically harping on the CANON thing when they'd have been okay with like... it being crackshipping and that she was basically cultivating a hoarde of followers who were harping on them/the ogs and basically ostracizing them;

I would like to add that this person - before her tumblr got 'accidentally deleted' and remade it therefore deleted most receipts for, er, her so-called meta which included stuff like ned and cat raised sansa as a sexual object and only wanted to sell her like cattle - had at some point started a round robin fic thing where... some of the characters mocked openly said stuff that some of the og fans had said specifically targeting them and people in that side basically went harassing anyone who didn't agree with that specific notion

now never mind that this person basically coined an entire term to describe ppl who liked white guys and excused all their wrongdoings out of my conversation re robb basically lying about everything I said as if I didn't have the receipts and tried to sell shirts with it and it didn't work and like then she got kicked out of her own website because she was telling her commenters disagreeing pretty shitty insults (considering I was called psychotic for disagreeing with her that time I don't doubt it) I think at some point she stepped back from fandom bc idk wtf she's up to these days and I don't want to, but basically at that point the dam was broken and there was a bunch of puritanical shippers harping on anyone who didn't agree with j*nsa is canon endgame stuff

and even if the show didn't go there now since everyone there banked on the jnsa endgame thing and admitting you're wrong is like... not a thing, they still haven't let go of it and attach to that ship any shred of evidence which honestly is grasping at straws half of the time (like... the sansa/alysanne parallels like guys please no) and which is why every other ship is starting to get fed up, attaching canon proof of stuff from other ships onto theirs see that batb argument and jb is platonic but jonsa is not nvm taking all the sansan stuff and throwing it on j*nsa but then denying that sansan has canon evidence (like guys I had to read sansa touching his shoulder when saying gregor wasn't a true knight wasn't meaningful and we were seeing things please) and blah blah blah

This ask has reminded me to do that FAQ post that I keep forgetting about 🥺.

So, short answer is that these days (as the followers keep coming) I get more asks than I can answer 😭.

Long answer is that I used to be able to answer almost every ask (I wouldn't answer inappropriate or repetitive ones). I made a point of trying to answer them all because I feel like I owe it to you guys as you take the time to interact with me and share your thoughts so nicely. I'm so thankful for this space and I love receiving each and every ask 🥰. Also, back then I wasn't working and didn't have any major commitments so I had time to be here and read/answer everything.

Now however, the followers keep coming (hello new followers!) and the asks, though not a massively unbearable amount, are a little too many for me to be able to answer every single one.

It actually pains me when I don't have time to answer, because naturally I hate letting people down, I genuinely want to listen to everything you all have to say and I want to be a person who is here for you in troubling times.

However, I am merely one person, I work two jobs, have family commitments, have family troubles, have mental health troubles, try to have a social life (though mostly non existent), am looking for a hubby (yes, in my culture it's how it works) and spends time on other hobbies/activities. Time is too short in every case 😭

The thing is, reading, taking a moment to appreciate (bc damn do y'all send some good thirst 🥵), and answering an ask takes longer than it may seem. Especially if it's a long one 🥺. I can't and don't want to just rush through them all and bang them out quickly.

I also hate having to close my inbox because I want you to be able to drop in anytime you want, if its to vent, thirst, ask for help, anything at all 🥰.

I'm so so so sorry if you've sent something that hasn't been answered (yet). I do have quite a lot to read and answer right now. Sometimes I feel like I'm wasting my time answering older asks, as alot of them are about what that person is feeling in the moment, and by the time I get to it they may no longer care, but then again I feel bad if I left it completely, so maybe responding is better than not responding at all.

This is getting long lol but I have alot to say. As this blog has been running for a couple of years now, and new followers continue to drop in, please note that there are topics that have been discussed in depth before. Recently, I keep getting alot of asks talking about these same things and I know it's not your fault as you don't know, but I do end up repeating myself alot 🥺. So if anyone is even reading this far, please go to my masterlist or advice section incase what you're looking for is there.

To those who tell me to stop sexualising the guys. No. I won't. And your asks just end up getting deleted. So there's no point wasting your energy.

To those who just drop a tiktok/instagram/twitter link and say nothing else. It's no fun, at least tell me what you thought of it or how it makes you feel.

To those who make requests for fics... I so badly want to write everything you want, like really truly want to. I have so many ideas myself too. But again there's just no time 😭😭😭. Also I do need to be in a good mindset for it, which just doesn't happen these days. I usually save your requests for the future incase I need inspiration and end up being able to write it.

About today... there were quite alot of asks about Jungkook's piercing and it got too much for me that I had to just answer what I could, I did get frustrated and leave for a while. Whatever, I’m human. It just got so repetitive. If it's already been said, I don't need 20 asks all saying the exact same 😩.

One more thing. I'm sorry that I can't reply to your comments on posts. This is a secondary blog and tumblr won't let me respond to comments using this blog 😭. We put a bunch of cc ideas (hair and clothes) in a discord server we have together and then work on the stuff together on call usually so each item is the way we both want me. Like for example i’ll be meshing the Ivy top while he works on texturing the ribbed version.  We also only do collabs when they happen, we didn’t plan AxA 2019 or this new set, mainly just made cc starting in May and wrapped it up in July to release in August. Then this time we started making stuff late December and got most of it done by the time I got done with my break. Having a planned collab/deadline makes stuff less stressful and the stuff usually turns out better imo

this is a late as hell reply i’m sorry. I think that you have texture where the glasses texture would be. Hair texture should only be in hair section or hat section (if you don’t want it hat compatible). Here is a UV map layout that I use for making hair textures. It shouldnt have anything to do with weights

I do use reshade when I take cc previews. It adds a bit of saturation to my sims and gives them some shadows under their chin/clothes. Nothing major. Also, myself and @imvikai came up with the tropical punch palette together.

Book 1 FAQ Beginning of Book 2

Dang y’all, 14 chapters done for Book 2! It’s been a little bit of a struggle to hash them out on time BUT I deliver. I’ve asked, y’all keyboard smashed in my inbox...let’s get INTO IT!

4 KIDS?!

Yep. And all 4 of them are full of personality! I guess I dreamt them up to convey all of the unspoken parts of the My Hero universe (canon or not). 

Are the kid’s names in relation to their abilities?

No unfortunately, they’re names are based on their personalities/the major event that happened around the time they were born (no spoilers about it tho! Gotta read book 3 to know why!). Lili Perla is based off of Pearl from Steven Universe and their character type. Iwata El Roca is a nod to Luchador’s names and a character that passed away in the AU to honor them. Tensei Oro is a play on their family position, Tensei was the first born twin and his uncle was the first born, Oro is spanish for ‘gold’ and it’s a play on being first (ya know, because they give gold medals for 1st place!). Hanaka Rosa is a double trope name, Hanaka (Japanese: hana- flower, ka- power) is a nod to the tough girls with flower names in anime and Rosa (spanish: Rose) is a name used in telenovelas as the woman that causes all the romantic tension. I did the whole Japanese first name, Spanish middle name because thats what I want to do when I do have kids.

Why did Mineta have to be in this AU?

I hear you! The thing is that I DREAMT it like this. He’s the slightly incompetent teacher that gets dunked on by the parents. Good news is that he’s single and isn’t as gross in this part of the AU. He’s this AU’s punching bag if you will.

It was weird when you wrote in hate-crime/dorm incident bc I didn’t think about it that way...Why did you decide to explore it?

That part felt important to me to write. Yes the canon shows like actual crimes of different intensities, but not nessatreily hate-crimes done in schools. As you know, being LGBTQA+ in grade school is a terrifying thing to express if don’t want to stand out. The constant fear of peers judging you, bullies hurting you and teachers that seemingly don’t care about you if you come out is enough to silence anybody. Imagine that but in a hero school?! The hate-crime would be a villainous act and the culprit would have to do desperate measures to make sure nobody rats on them to maintain a clean image/record. Plus on the flip side, any ally that stands up for their oppressed peer is hailed the hero but they wouldn’t have to stand up for them if there were real consequences and punishment for the bullies. So in the AU, I wrote it how I’d want such hate-crimes to be handled. Not only justice but also accommodations for the victim.

The Mcdonalds order cracks me up! What is your Mcdonalds order?

I throughly enjoyed the Mcdonalds order part too. It’s a nod to the proposal in Book 1 when they went to Mcdonalds before the peer over. I wrote it to show that the family goes every now and then. My order is: Triple Cheeseburger, Large fries, Large sweet tea, 2 sausage and egg McMuffins & a cone. And yes, there will be a Mcdonalds order for every child because it drives the plot.

Will there be more interactions with the pro heroes from the canon series?

YES! Though old, theres more interactions planned with them. Of course, it’s all in Book 3 (trying not to spoil anything!).

Is it spoiler if you tell us if your kids (or one of them) becomes a villain?

I’ll tell y’all right now....NONE of my kids becomes a villain. It might look like one or two of them might from the way I wrote them but they’re just latina.

Will one of your kids be the next Ingenium?

Yes but I won’t tell you which one. But I can’t wait to reveal it to y'all!

I see all the call-backs to your self insert character’s past...Is it alluding to the conclusion?

I dreamt it as such and I fixed it in writing as a way to come full circle. Notice that Lili didn’t get any of her mom’s past from her mom? It wasn’t until when she confronted her on the couch in chapter 13. Even then, it wasn’t the full story nor did it fill in all the cracks and time skips after her mom’s time at UA. In Book 3, we explore more of the past. The conclusion is yet to be revealed.

How big is that house?!

It’s a little hard to explain? I want to say its big but parts of the house are disproportionate. It’s a two story house with no attic nor basement, 3 bath room, Master bedroom, 2 large bedrooms, office space, guest room, full kitchen, dining room, large living room, three car garage and a decent size backyard. What I’m trying to say that it’s big enough for that chaotic ass family.

Canon villains OwO?

Y’all ate UP the Dabi surrender in Book 1 and his little mention in Book 2. But in this AU (not to spoil anything to anime only and manga dabblers) the League of Villains are still rampant but dispersed. In Book 3 (and part of Book 4) they pop in to drive the plot from a canon storyline. In the series, the rookie Hawks has been seen as a double agent and exposes a corrupt Hero Society. Same concept but in this AU, Hawks has gone missing when he failed to kill Best Jeanist. Here’s where the kids go into play BUT more on that as the plot progresses!

I really want to see art of these OCs! I wanna see how Iida’s genes transferred over to his kids!

What if....hypothetically....Shinso stayed?

Oh boy, okay so the Shinso stans have BOMBARDED my asks since the last arc of Book 1. So what if Shinso stayed...obviously I wouldn’t have 4 kids, just the one that we were gonna have. We wouldn’t be married and overall just be loveless the more we see our friends get married and start families. The company would still be there but delayed by 5 years or so. Our son would grow up to convince me and Shinso to separate when they get at around High school age. Tenya still wouldn’t have said anything but done the reunited part differently. I would’ve considered cheating but morals would’ve stopped me. Eventually, when our son decides to move out, we’d stay as housemates and basically die alone....aren’t you glad this AU isn’t such a downer?! Luckily things are patched up with my self insert and Shinso, because he comes into play in Book 3!

anyway, so, naturally, i sat in my bed for 3 hours at 1am on a school night, as you do, scrolling through andreil fan art and trying to figure out who the fUCK they were and what they were from. i found tfc and immediately downloaded it on my phone

i didn't get to reading it for a bit tho:/ abt a week later, i was brought to the emergency room bc i was planning to kill myself. id been diagnosed with depression for around a year, who knows how long i was suffering before that, and i was hitting my lowest. it was abt 2 weeks after new years and on new years eve, i was planning on ending it bc i couldn't fathom dealing with it for another year. another year of feeling nothing or everything all at once. but my mom had called me downstairs to go to a new years party, so i didn't go through with it. abt 2 weeks later, i had seen my therapist again, and i was deflecting hard core, and she saw it, and she sent me to the ER. i was evaluated all night, but i wasn't kept for observation since i told the nurse that the thoughts had passed. i was taken out of school and put in an outpatient program where id have group for 4 hours and school for 2. every morning for abt a month, i would get picked up at my house in a minivan and id have a good 20-25+ min drive to program.

every. single. morning. on the van, i would read tfc. every morning. i was going through, what i thought to be the worst time of my life (i now know that it in fact DID get worse and now we're going on a new level of bad, but then it was the worst id experienced) every morning i was reading about neil and him running from his father, something ive wanted to do for years. reading about andrew struggling with depression and self harm like i am and despising most touches bc of people in his life that ruined it, similar to how someone ruined it for me and doesn't understand that "no" means "no". reading about nicky learning to love and accept himself for being gay, for being who he is like ive been trying to accept myself being a queer ace trans boy. reading about kevin trying to cope with his anxiety, even if it's in an unhealthy way, the same way i do. reading about renee growing up one way and wanting to become a better person, something that i want to do every day. reading abt matt overcoming his addiction and loving his friends with his whole heart. reading about dan standing up for herself and being proud of who she is. reading abt allison cutting away the people in her life who wanted to hold her back. reading about aaron and andrew work through their differences to try and salvage their relationship. reading about neil taking his life back and living it the way he wants, on his terms, like i so badly crave to do. reading about neil and andrew finding a respectful and loving relationship, one where all boundaries are respected, not crossed, where there is comfort in being together and a certain understanding on a level that others could never wrap their mind around. the kind of relationship that i have always, always, yearned for, where i feel safe and loved and respected.

these books taught me not only to die for the ones i love or kill for them, but to live for them, and to me, that is a much more daunting and difficult task.

All For the Game gave me hope, something i never thought id have again. it gave me hope for tomorrow. and the day after that. and a month after that. and it gives me hope that one day, i will get away from my father, i will be comfortable with who i am and love myself for it, i will find ways to cope with my anxiety properly, i will be proud of the person i have become, i will have friends who i love and who love me, i will stand up for myself and be proud to be the person ive become, i will surround myself with good people and cut away those who treat me wrong and hold me back, i will work to repair and maintain good relationships.

it gives me hope that i will finally break away from the pain and start to live my life the way i want, as the person i was meant to be, the way i was meant to live my life.

it gives me hope that i will overcome my depression, that i will find the strength to stop harming myself to cope, that i will find the strength to push through, even after ive been given every reason to just give up.

people say that books and shows and movies change there life all the time, but i know that i wouldn't be here without it. these books saved my fucking life. i wouldn't have experienced those mornings, walking into program with a goofy smile on my face, practically vibrating with what i now know was joy, blabbing to every person i ran into that morning abt a boy with scars and a sharp tongue on the run and the small, depressed and angry blond who told him to stay. or nights when i sobbed and sobbed for those boys who deserved better. and i wouldn't have gotten black armbands to cover my scars and match with my two biggest inspirations. or when i have a bad impulsive thought, i wouldnt have a voice in the back of my head going "what would andrew say? what would neil say?" and the vivid image of the small blond giving me a stare, face carefully blank, yet eyes swimming with a mix between disapproval and hope, and the boy covered in scars tentatively giving me a hug, a bit awkward at first, but he's a lovely hugger and eventually, awkwardness turns into comfort. without it, i don't think id know what pure, honest love is supposed to look like.

 I know that you say that you like to imagine AOU doesn't exist, but I will admit (because I find Wanda deeply compelling and the twins story as a whole very interesting) that I've wondered a lot about how your Bucky would deal with the Maximoff twins? Like, on the one hand there's Wanda's ability to mess with minds, which he'd hate, but simultaneously (at least according to the AOU prelude comic) the twins was effectively radicalised by HYDRA while they were pretending to be SHIELD and expected to be their weapons which is not wholly dissimilar to Nat or Bucky. So if you're willing to acknowledge AOU just enough to ponder this I'd really like to know your thoughts! If not, of course, I understand.

Wanda’s not a character I’ve given much thought to. You’re right that her abilities would freak Barnes out. But he has a strict policy of observation before reaction, so he would give them a chance. And they’re so young (and so broken) that his protective instincts would kick in. I think they could probably count on some wary kindness, along with a dose of irritation at Pietro’s shenanigans.

 I personally am a sucker for "Steve knows nothing, Bucky's a pro" thing re: babies. Mix that up with the Mission and the Briefing and what would we get? I keep think about, idk, maybe Sam has a niece or nephew, or one of the Olds has a grandchild or grandniece or something, and I just really want your thoughts on Bucky + baby... Please?

Barnes would be too worried about inadvertently hurting an infant to be willing to touch one, though he likes the directness of slightly older kids.

If in the presence of Steve trying to deal with an infant, the Briefing would definitely have a lot of commentary about everything he was doing wrong.

 I guess if I had one question though it would be: Do you always see Bucky existing as Barnes, the Briefing, and the Mission, or do you see a time in his future in which those aspects of him would be more integrated. Not through the magical Asgaridan science, but through his own force of will/healing?

  He definitely does become more integrated over time. The Mission is a protective identity, and as he needs it less, it recedes. The Briefing is literally his memories, which he does recover many of over time, though that’s a long and painful process. There’s a lot of regression throughout the long-term forward progress. But he keeps some of the habits, like “confirm” and “deny.”

 After “This, You Protect”, the Mission went to ground so to speak for a bit and Bucky was distressed at its loss, at it not communicating with him. But over time as he heals and it recedes, he wouldn’t be so upset?

Exactly. When the Mission’s going quiet is part of the organic process of healing, he misses it but isn’t upset by its loss.

Yes, of course! But Sam had to be bullied into buying a better chair for himself, because he wanted all the money to go to programs.

There’s a lot of red tape involved with how much money the center can receive in donations, so Steve & Bucky give that much each year, even much later, when Sam does in fact move to NYC to become an Avenger.

Although Bucky suffering sexual abuse and torture "for fun" during his time with HYDRA makes perfect sense in my head (70 years in the hands of powerful white men who had complete control over him, it's difficult to imagine nobody got ideas), especially with the imagery of the bank scene, it's something we don't see that often in fics outside certain areas of fandom. I'm really glad you included this, because for me it not only makes it more realistic, but also it brings an extra layer into Bucky reclaiming himself and being comfortable with touching and his feelings for Steve. So the question is what made you decide to include it in this fic?

Like you say, powerful men with a powerful man under their complete control, over the course of 70 years – to me, it’s a given that among the many abuses he suffered was sexual abuse. It was always part of the character, for me, one of the many layers that he needed to work through to reclaim both his body and his self.

I started to think that the romantic-physical relationship with Steve was an inevitable part of Barnes’s healing process, because he and Steve really just do love each other SO much. The more I thought about it, the more I could see that given the style that I’d set up, writing Barnes’s reactions to things kind of obliquely, would be SUPER FUN for writing about bodies and sex. I cackled my whole way through writing that section.

And, you know, there were a lot of commenters who were like “hey man where’s the smut?” – a few of them NOT SO NICELY. I’m glad I stuck it in its own section, though, because I know there are also a lot of people who like to only read the gen parts.

How did you come up with the curses? My favorite is “Lenin’s pickled scrotum.” It makes me laugh every time I think of it. I’d use it, but I have toddlers so then I’d have to explain what pickling is, what a scrotum is and why you’d pickle one.

That is a mystery and a blessing from the part of my brain from which jokes arise. Every one of them delighted me. “Lenin’s pickled scrotum” hearkens back to college jokes in Russian History class about how they embalmed Lenin with a mixture of Twinkie filling and maraschino cherry juice, and of course scrotums are always hilarious, I don’t know how people who have them even deal.

I actually have a tiny bit of this written out – it was originally going to be another piece of ICaPD, but I couldn’t get it to have any kind of arc to it, and the pacing was just BALLS.

Anyhow, yes, Nicholas is named after Nick Fury. His sperm donor is no one of import, and the only one of the Avengers who knows about him is Clint.

The snippet I never wrote involved Bad Guys kidnapping Nicholas & Steve/Barnes/Nat/Clint/Sam going on a rescue mission.

In this universe, Nat & Clint have a couple of Barton-Romanoffs, of whom Nicholas is the first (Clint adopts him). Tony & Pepper likewise have several kids in this universe.

I haven’t written a reader-insertish kind of thing since I wrote a Duran Duran scifi AU when I was 14 years old. Original characters are where it’s at.

What is your favourite genre to write for?

Fantasy, for sure. Tho romance tends to worm its way into most of my stuff.

If you had to choose a favourite out of all of your multi chaptered stories, which would it be and why?

I think This, You Protect has better pacing than The Long Road Begins at Home, and writing it helped me fall back in love with writing.

If you had to delete one of your stories and never speak of it again, which would it be and why?

Um. Maybe my Loki poem? Tho I don’t think it’s necessarily bad.

When is your preferred time to write?

First thing in the morning, tho I’m grateful to be able to write almost any time. In the past couple of years, I've gotten into writing into the notepad on my phone, so I literally write any- and everywhere.

In your xxx fic, what’s your favourite scene that you wrote? [Any of your Bucky fics]

The chapter of Team-Building Exercises where Barnes & Pepper go to France is something I’m so proud of. I think I did pretty well with the action and the pacing in that one, and I love writing Pepper.

Their first Thanksgiving, with the Sandwich of Suffering, is also a favorite.

In your xxx fic, why did you decide to end it like that? Did you have an alternative ending in mind? [The Long Road Begins at Home]

It was always going to go Thanksgiving to Thanksgiving.

If you write OC’s, how do you decide on their names?

ARGH NAMES. What a pain. Second only to titles in terms of terribleness. I try to roll a few names around and chew on them until I find the one that feels right.

Do you have any abandoned WIP’s? What made you abandon them?

I have notes for 3 more sections of Infinite Coffee and Protection Detail – one that’s pure fluff, one that’s an action scene, and one at the very end of their lives. But I dunno. For one thing, the last one is unbearably sad. And I don’t really have Barnes’s voice in my head anymore. I think it’s time to be done.

More about the action scene is answered in response to a reader question in the previous section. The Sad Ending is just too far off in tone that it doesn’t fit the series at all, so let’s leave it in a dark drawer. But Barnes & Steve live for a very long time and remain faithful to the successive generations of their Avengers family. And when they go, they reach the end of the line together.

The fluff scene is CAT JACK and will post on Friday, June 7. (it's not a full story, just a snippet)

Are there any stories that you wished you’d ended differently?

The epilogue chapter of This, You Protect has some cute jokes, but it’s pretty weird, and I kind of wish I’d left it off.

Do you prefer listening to music when you’re writing or do you need silence?

Depends on the day. I definitely like music when I’m Pondering, though.

How do you feel about writing smutty scenes?

People know about my MCU fic, yes.

That’s like asking about my favorite child!! Hill is definitely up there on the list, though. Hair Club in general was fun to have around.

I wish I could remember what it was, but yes. That was really fun.

If you could write only angst, fluff or smut for the rest of your writing life, which would it be and why?

Smut, because I think the best smut is also really emotional, so it’s not like cutting out angst, fluff, or anything else.

So an update on me!

Well, some great stuff happened this month that has kept me very busy IRL, and that has paired with my avoidance of fandom in a way to make me seem like I jumped off the planet. So here's a summary:

The 100 final weeks happen at the same time as my last month in university.

I'm preparing for my school to end, doing career prep, and applying for jobs

I watch ep 10 of t100 and have a gut reaction that I'm not FEELING everything that's going down like I was at the start of the season.

I basically don't watch ep 11

I get sort of spoiled for ep 11 but whatever, we knew it was cannibalkru. I hear Clarke stuff I really DONT want and I'm like "oh god I don't actually want to watch that, it doesn't sound fun." Also apparently there is no deeper unveiled Bellamy-is-still-complex plan, there's just a generic "hero now" version of him that's boring.

I don't watch ep 12. Now I'm two eps behind. I actually don't really know what happens in ep 12 except a fight or something between two women that I hate the sound of and resent knowing exists even in distant abstract. God do I not want want any of what I hear about. Kane gets eaten, maybe dies? I wish I still cared about Kane but honestly the last time I did was 2+ years ago.

Finale week. Also the week before finals week. I am still on social media (kind of) but I go off bc I know I am not gonna see the final episode today. I do see a screenshot but I don't trust it.

I take Tumblr and Twitter off my mobile home screen and don't open them, don't look at messages.

Days pass. I am, technically, 3 episodes behind. But now watching 3 hours of tv I surely won't like becomes this huge, DAUNTING task. It's so much easier to do IRL stuff. I need to do it anyway. It's good motivation!

I keep adding "Watch the 100" to my phone calendar and then keep moving it to the next day.

The only chat I'm in gets 2000+ messages in the first week. I get messages on Tumblr that I don't read bc I am pretty sure they will be like "what did you think of X spoiler" and for some reason I'm still holding onto this don't-spoil-myself thing.

OTOH, my email inbox is suspiciously empty of fanfic alerts from AO3. That's really the most damning thing, you know? It means that people who write regular little canon ficlets aren't writing. It means that not exactly does *bad* things happen to my OTP (that is fic fodder), but that fic writers are dispirited by the show and aren't being INSPIRED to write.

So now some things are piling up:

I would have to watch 11, 12, and 13 to get caught up. That's 120+ minutes of probably-unpleasant television.

I already know that it has characters I love doing specific things that make my stomach turn and make me actively resent the show

I know my fellow shippers hate it, or just feel depressed

I know many people who AREN'T bellarke shippers also hate it

I know they basically end the world again (or something??) and just like, WHY

WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY

WHY DOES EVERYTHING HAVE TO REPEAT, IT'S SO PUNISHING AND BORING

I have actual, real world motive to not be on social media because I'm working really hard to get gainful employment in my chosen field and that keeps me mega busy.

SCENARIO:

IF I want to be on Tumblr/fandom THEN I will be spoiled.

IF I want to avoid being spoiled, THEN a) I can watch the ending, b) I can avoid social media.

IF I watch the ending THEN I probably will be disappointed

OPTIONS:

a) watch the ending

b) spoil the ending

c) avoid social media until I get a job and then deal with (a).

FOR NOW, I'M GOING OPTION C.

Option (c) has the added benefit of actually being good for my real life. However, it also means I've been really absent from a lot of my social fandom relationships. Sorry about that.

Favourite means of transport: I like trains the most I think?? But if I stay on any sort of transportation too long I get sick pffft

Favourite story: uhhh once my brother came home from walking our dog and he came up to me like "hey what do you do when you find a lost dog" bc apparently while he was walking her some little? goddamn ass puppy? walked right up to him? so I was like "WHAT THE FUCK" and he was like "yeah lmao what do I do" but before he was finished I was Out Of The Door In The Middle Of The Night To Find This Small Baby Dog. Long story short I got the dog (he was very sweet and small and he had white fur) n I brought him home and my parents and a police officer from around my neighborhood helped us find his owners and I cried a lil bit when I gave him back it was an emotionally charged night

Something that always makes you laugh: you know that twitter posts that’s like “WHO KNOCKED OVER MY ONIONS” and then in the next tweet it’s a hand just holding a cat down by the neck while the cat looks extremely alarmed. Worm

Whats the strangest thing about you: UHH the concept of reading books that are meant to me chronological makes me REALLY Fucking Mad. Once I thought about it too much and I got so livid I had to sit down I would throw hands with someone over this

You get to switch places with one person for one day, who is it and why?: uhh my dog. I would love to sleep in a small safe space all day and also be able to eat whenever I want

You guys do a really good job of avoiding whitewashed pictures, at least from what I've seen, and you post a good variety of the members rather than a ton of just one at a time. we just share the pictures the fansite masters post without editing as it isn't allowed and we respect them :) and thank you!

Maybe change the theme? I know it's too much work but yeah it's an suggestion i changed it again recently but I realised it has no search bar :/ I change the theme of the blog during sf9 comebacks

I would prefer it if the way preview photos were sourced was different, if you click on the gear button on the top right there’s a place where you can link the content source and you just put the fansites url in there!! the link to the source then comes up on the bottom left of the post. but that’s just my personal taste bc i run an fy blog too, feel free to post as you already do!! another thing would be what photos are put together in posts, like sometime i feel they don’t match ? but anyway thank you for running a great blog!! love you guys keep up the hard work!! we are now using that method! thank you for your suggestion and support! we will try our best to continue running the blog!

I think it would be better if you guys posted previews before posting any hq of a certain day! bc it gets confusing when you go through a tag of a day and there are previews after hqs if that makes sense? i run an fy blog and if there are already hqs before i've posted all the previews i just save the hqs as drafts and then post them after posting all the previews! i do like the way u guys post updates and stuff but i think its better if you dont tag the fansite in previews so that the tag is just their hqs? also if u could post all of their twitter posts including videos bc theyre very funny and cute :)) very sorry but i cant be sure about that, we try not to post too much previews and focus mainly on hqs so its easier to navigate and we hope u understand! our fandom is not big and we try to give more credit to the fansites as much as possible! and i also apologise for that because we don't post their twitter vids and we won't be doing so :(

This is just my opinion/preference but I think sometimes you post too many fantakens in one post, if it's more than 2-3 I usually won't want to reblog it. the most photos we group in a post is 4 and its standard, its hard and takes too much time to post one or two in a post :( and since there are 9 members we have to coordinate the blog well and all of us are busy too so we hope you understand! we respect you opinion too and we will try to do it! 

I’m also going to clarify something: this blog never started as a fyeah and never will be. we apologise if we don’t operate like how other fyeah blogs do. this blog’s aim is to share more about sf9 and allow a platform for FANTASYs to have a greater understanding of each other, the fandom and sf9 themselves through various projects and our posts. we are not as formal as other fyeah blogs and we update at our own flexibility, and you can constantly get in touch with the team through this blog and not through our main blogs. i started this blog so many people could get to know sf9 and i really love the boys with my whole heart so we hope you understand! thank you for all your support again!!
