I wonder if Maddie had ever told Doug about Daniel. Abusers are often very good at convincing their victims to tell them their secrets, and it would be a really powerful thing for him to isolate Maddie from Buck, if he was holding that over her head

Ugh I hate Doug so much, I’m glad he got stabbed, though I wish Maddie hadn’t had to be the one to do it
