Cushion mending

I recently part-way mended my special cushion that I have since I was quite young (don’t remember exactly how old, but have sleep with it under big pillow for a LONG time). I also put it under my knees in my swing, so it is squished into a weird shape from that, and also have big holes where I rub my hands as a stim, and where the fabric just get so thin over time and wear down. I struggle to describe my process so I will let the images and image descriptions speak for themselves!

This is what this side looks like from the outside:

Next step:

I did finish unpicking the white stitching, but that is where I got to with the mending so far. I plan to do more securing on the outside, and reinforce the fabric where it is thin and fragile. I also might do some embroidery to “fill in” the gaps for the patterns. And I will redo the white stitching, but I want to add an extra layer on the entire inside of the cushion, because even at the back part it is thin and I worry that it will just fall apart. And it is very special so I will be devastated if that happens.

More updates will come when I manage more sewing! I have more things to mend, too, like Marmalade’s dress (Marmalade is my beloved teddy bear that is older than me and I have since birth), and my special safe grey hoodie that I wear almost 24/7 (really, that much, even to sleep!).

That's quite a mystery then 🤔 though Tumblr being Tumblr, it's... Not too surprising. Well, hmm! you're not censored so that's not it... And your blog seems to be fairly new in terms of it being a couple months old.

I know with new blogs, in order to show up in tags, I had to reblog a looooot of posts before the blog started showing up. I know there's also plenty of glitches where users weren't receiving asks but if you can't send without being anon that's strange... I feel like being able to send anon to another blog should be based on the receiving blog's settings so huh 🤔

Askmystarker isn't a side blog, is it? You should still be able to message people though even from a side blog 🤔🤔 Check these settings?

I feel like it's default to have it set to everyone can reply/message but never know 🤷🏻‍♂️

I know it's tedious and probably gonna take a while, but last resort would be to email customer service 😱

Oh, well... It's something I started to do when I first came in contact with toxic fans (they were not Scar's fans tho) and a lot of people sometimes assume that saying you love a youtuber, especially as of late in the Minecraft community, means that you, like, love love them in a creepy, obsessed way? I have definitely had some terrible interactions with some toxic Grian fans who bashed on me because I said I love him as a content creator, saying that I can't possibly love someone I never met and know very little about and that it's incredibly toxic and unhealthy and things like that

It happens less in the Hermitcraft fandom, but I'm also in the DSMP fandom and it happens more over there, so I just... Started to clarify before anyone can get any wrong idea, I guess 🤷🏻‍♂️ sorry if it looks weird XD

oh okay i sorta understand what you mean LMAO, i think in general i've noticed that some people are so quick to slap the "parasocial" label onto any kind of fan/cc interaction even when it's totally harmless ?? to the point where the word has lost any kind of meaning. but luckily i think you will come to learn that here on tumblr we all unabashedly and unashamedly love goodtimeswithscar

I have to express some incredulity at this. "Can you at least explain why you're discriminating against asexual people". It is telling that this person thinks making a tumblr post about how terfs have no inherent ability to harm asexual people is "discrimination". I could take the bait and get into an academic debate about how there are only four letters in this acronym for a reason, we could get into history, I could invite the inevitable "asexuals were at Stonewall!" misinformation I'm sure they have filed away somewhere. I could raise how fucking homophobic this shit is and they could use the usual sidesteps to avoid it, etc. etc. I'm not sure what they expected by bringing this to my virtual door 😂 I am not sure why they think I am the person to give an explanation for why cishet people who don't necessarily desire sex (but sometimes they do? And sometimes they have sexual fantasies? And sometimes they masturbate and write Supernatural porn? 🤷🏻‍♂️) do not contend with the same issues as lesbian women, gay men, bisexual people, and trans people. I could highlight that this crack definition of heterosexuality in this context doesn't work, because the internet seems to have established that you can be a gay asexual, so clearly "asexual" is something which purely relates to an individual's sex life (and equating this with being gay... is homophobic!). I am not sure why this person wants this rundown of ace discourse from me, I'm not really willing to participate any more after years of this and I only touched on it again because cishets making violence by terfs about them is so outrageous, but I won't deny I'm curious because this is SUCH a weird message to send to someone you don't know! It's so erratic to come to me and go "well, I don't agree with you!" it's had me laughing for like two nights 😂

double-tap-like is not working (but is definitely turn on in settings), and sometimes like-notifications weird (show up then disappear)

and sometimes like-count / note-count is glitchy
