I last saw you, during the season of when daffodils bloom. Everyday for decennial and so, dressing in amethyst and golden gown, holding aster flowers in my hand.

When I look up to the serenity of Selene,

I see it as its gleaming glow disseminates wonders in the night sky, My bonafide hope is that its luster shines through your heart, and fondles you with my fondest prayers.

I'm waiting for you buoyantly, with 'why?'s,

My love for you is like one as a moonflower. It glows in the gaping gloom. It radiates gloriously in the nub of nothingness.

Everyday I wait, everyday I hope,

You're like an aurora, exists day and night, yet arduous to find. Seeing you again is an auspicious grandeur from the standpoint of rarity and stakes.

Ed è in sere come queste che vorrei riuscire a chiudere gli occhi e sentire soltanto il silenzio della mia camera vuota o il frastuono del via vai delle auto fuori alla mia finestra. E invece sento un gran caos di pensieri, di voci; è un lungo viaggio a ritroso nel tempo, ripercorro ogni singolo momento del periodo più bello e doloroso della mia esistenza. Eppure io non ricordo come si faccia. ‘Com’è iniziato? Com’è che devo fare?’ mi chiedo, ma non so darmi una risposta. So soltanto che dormire è diventato troppo rumoroso e io vorrei soltanto silenzio. Vorrei silenzio e pace. Vorrei fare pace anche con me stessa, perché è da anni che non mi ci parlo più, anni che non mi guardo più, che non mi accarezzo, che non mi difendo. Vorrei soltanto punirmi perché non riesco ad essere la persona che vorrei essere; non riesco ad essere bella come le ragazze che guarda il mio fidanzato, non riesco ad essere intelligente come mia sorella, non riesco ad essere laboriosa come mio padre, non riesco ad essere coraggiosa come mia madre. Eppure non mi interessa se ho un lavoro, non mi interessa se sono simpatica o meno, non mi interessa se la gente ha da ridire sul mio stile. La mia unica considerazione è che sono grassa. Grasso. Grasso ovunque, sul viso, sulle braccia, sulla pancia, sul sedere, sulle cosce, sulle dita delle mani e dei piedi. Vorrei essere sottile da potermi quasi oltrepassare, sottile da potermi chiudere in me stessa e diventare invisibile e invece sono cosi imponente, cosi ingombrante. Lo sono tanto quanto i miei pensieri ossessivi: ‘Non sei abbastanza, non ci riuscirai, inutile che continui a provarci’. Io vorrei solo il silenzio.
