Bloody hell those things are big and it may be pretty thick gloves
Do you want to build a snow man
Doesn't have to be a snow man
Could be a snow cat
Or a snow bat
Meow meow meeoww
Must it be snow? I have an abundance of tumbleweeds and wild flowers too

Cane Corso Puppies: Adorable Woofers with Bite
Tumblr media
So, you're considering bringing a Cane Corso puppy into your life? Hold onto your metaphorical hats, because you're not just welcoming a dog, you're adopting a future shadow, a workout buddy in disguise, and a potential drool mop (because someone's gotta clean up that mess).
The Tank Puppy of the Toddler Set
Let's be honest, the first thing that grabs everyone about Cane Corso puppies is their undeniable cuteness. Or just like the cuteness of Tibetan Mastiff puppies. These chunky little bundles of muscle are a walking advertisement for the "I'm-tough-but-secretly-a-softie" aesthetic. They waddle, they wrestle with their siblings, and they have the most adorable furrowed brows that could melt the heart of a snowman. Just be prepared for those adorable little paws to accidentally knock over furniture in their puppy enthusiasm.
But Don't Let the Cuteness Fool You...
These aren't your average lapdogs. Cane Corsos are bred for working, and those workaholic tendencies translate into boundless energy in the puppy stage. Think of a furry toddler with a chew toy obsession and the zoomies on permanent high. Early socialization and training are crucial to ensure this adorable butterball grows into a well-mannered (and furniture-respecting) adult.
Loyal Protectors in Training
These pups are bred to guard, and their protective instincts kick in early. They'll bark with gusto at anything that moves outside the window, whether it's a rogue leaf or a mail carrier just trying to do their job. While their booming bark is enough to deter most, proper training is essential to channel their protectiveness into something positive and not overbearing.
The Great Gas Escape
Now, we come to a truth universally acknowledged: Cane Corso puppies do pass gas. A lot. We're talking clear-the-room, blame-the-dog-but-seriously-considering-sleeping-outside level of gas. This isn't a deal breaker, but it's something to consider, especially if your olfactory senses are easily offended. Think of it as a built-in air freshener... with questionable scents.
The Drool Deluge (Lite)
Compared to their cousins English Mastiff puppies, Cane Corso drool is a more manageable situation. Sure, there will be slobbery toys and the occasional beard acquired through enthusiastic greetings, but it's nowhere near the Niagara Falls situation you might encounter with a Mastiff. However, be prepared to invest in a good supply of drool rags, because dog park puddles are inevitable.
The Working Dog Upkeep
Taking care of a Cane Corso puppy or Neapolitan Mastiff puppies requires dedication. These active pups need plenty of exercise – walks, playtime, and activities that challenge their minds. A bored Cane Corso puppy is a recipe for destructive chewing and excessive barking. Think of them as furry athletes in training, and you'll be on the right track.
Growing Pains (Literally and Figuratively)
Get ready for some serious growing – these pups don't reach their full size until they're around 2-3 years old. This means puppy-proofing your house version 2.0 (because apparently, the first time wasn't enough when they were the size of a large ottoman). Coffee tables become prime targets for leaning, doorknobs become chew toys (invest in heavy-duty ones!), and counter-surfing becomes an Olympic sport they're determined to master. Remember, an ounce of prevention (like reinforcing those doorknobs) is worth a pound of drool-covered furniture (but keep those drool rags handy, just in case).
The Loyal Guardian Dog
By now, your Cane Corso's protective instincts are in full swing. They'll be your personal security system, barking with thunderous gusto at anything that even remotely resembles a threat (squirrel! mailman! rogue tumbleweed!). While their impressive bark is enough to deter most, continued socialization is key. Dog parks, walks in different neighborhoods, and introducing them to new people will ensure their guard dog tendencies don't morph into over-protectiveness.
The Master of Subtlety (Except When Food is Involved)
Don't be fooled by their imposing stature, Cane Corso are surprisingly adept at nonverbal communication. The raised eyebrow that translates to "Treat time, human?" The dramatic sigh that clearly means "This walk isn't long enough, get your leash on!" The gentle head nudge that says, with unwavering certainty, "Move over, more couch space required." Learning their unique body language is crucial to a harmonious relationship with your Cane Corso overlord (I mean, companion).
The Mighty Workout Buddy
Remember those energetic puppy days? Well, adult Cane Corsos still have plenty of energy to burn, but now they come in a much larger package. Invest in a good dog harness (their necks are too thick for regular dog collars) and get ready for some serious exercise bonding. These athletic pups will happily join you for hikes, jogs, or even a good game of fetch (just be prepared for the occasional accidental furniture toppling during enthusiastic retrieves).
The Big Lug with a Big Heart
Despite their sometimes-clumsy exterior and impressive bark, Cane Corsos are incredibly loving and affectionate dogs. They crave attention and will happily smother you in giant-sized cuddles. They're happiest when they're with their humans, so be prepared for a constant shadow (and potential furniture indentation) wherever you go in the house.
Owning a Cane Corso: Final Thoughts
Cane Corsos are not for everyone. Their size, their… ahem… digestive quirks, and their need for exercise and mental stimulation require a dedicated owner who can handle the responsibility. But for those who can, these loyal, intelligent dogs offer a lifetime of love, adventure, and enough cuddles to fill a king-sized bed (just be prepared for the potential drool factor). So, if you're looking for a fur-covered adventure buddy with a heart of gold, consider welcoming a Cane Corso into your life. Just remember, with great cuteness comes great… responsibility, drool rags, and a never-ending supply of chew toys.
A Watchful Protector: For The Progression Of The Ages
Mastiffs, gentle giants with ancient roots, come in various breeds. Loyal guardians with calm temperaments, they require ample space, training, and experienced owners due to their size and strength. Though some breeds have wrinkles, all Mastiffs offer a lifetime of devotion.

Christmas is almost here, and I found this and thought it looked fun. Hope you enjoy it! Of course, there's no pressure ❤️
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Thank you, this was fun! Although, a few of these are hard to do where I live. I'd have to get pretty creative, like make a snowman from tumbleweeds.🤣
My board's a little light this year because my goal is to keep things pretty low key. I'm enjoying a nice long break from work right now and I really don't want to do anything other than spend some quiet time at home with my immediate family. In fact, I'm going to be so lazy this year that when I say I'm delivering cookies to friends, what I really mean is I'm paying to having Door Dash deliver Crumbl Cookies.🫥
Tagging: @mydemonsdrivealimo because I have feeling MJ's going to be able to check more of these off than I did🙂

Such a cute family!🥰Luke and Lily are always so well-mannered. Victoria and Ethan are doing a good job raising them. I'm jealous of their snowman. The only kind we get to have where I live are made with tumbleweeds.😂
Happy holidays, Alice!
The Big Christmas Game
Pairings: Ethan Ramsey x Victoria Clarke
Word Count: 799
Summary: 4 people, one job, can they do it?
Rating: General Audiences
Category: Fluff
Thank you @kyra75 for this prompt idea! This was so much fun to write!
Tumblr media
“Mommy look how much snow there is outside!” Luke climbed onto the sofa and looked out the window.
“I can see. It looks like we won’t be going anywhere today.” Victoria smiled as she put her book down.
“But why? I want to go outside and play in it.” Luke said.
“Oh you can go outside and play. We just can’t go anywhere in the car as Daddy won’t be able to drive anywhere as it’s not safe.” Victoria replied.
“And Mommy always leaves the driving to Daddy when the weather is like this.” Ethan entered the living room.
“I want to build a snowman! There’s so much snow outside!” Lily ran into the living room.
“I think a snowman sounds like a great idea. But you’ll have to wrap up warm. It’s very cold outside.” Victoria said.
“That means lots and lots of layers to keep warm.” Ethan added.
Luke and Lily looked at each other. “Race to the top of the stairs?” Luke asked.
Lily sprinted off, Luke not far behind her as their little footsteps echoed up the stairs and throughout the downstairs.
“I think getting into work tomorrow is going to be difficult.” Victoria said.
Ethan laughed. “They’ll have to come with us and we’ll have to take the subway instead. It’s not all bad.”
“I know. But for now it looks like we’ve got a snowman to build.”
Victoria and Ethan headed up the stairs ready to get warm and head out into the snow.
Tumblr media
Luke and Lily giggled as their feet crunched in the crisp, white snow, Jenner making them laugh even harder as he buried himself in the snow and then jumped out in front of them.
“I can’t even see the ground!” Lily said looking at her footprints.
“And it’s still snowing.” Luke smiled.
“That’s what winters in Massachusetts are like.” Victoria said.
“I like it!” Luke said.
“Are we ready to build this snowman?” Ethan said.
“Yes! What do we need to do?” Lily asked.
“Well first we need to gather as much snow as possible into a large ball. Do you think you can gather up some snow for us?” Victoria said.
Luke and Lily set off grabbing as much snow as their tiny hands would allow them whilst Ethan and Victoria were able to make a larger snow ball themselves.
“I’ve got some!” Lily said.
“I’ve got some too!” Luke grinned.
Victoria smiled at them. “Excellent. Why don’t you add them to the pile and Daddy can make it as big as possible.”
Luke and Lily did as Victoria said. The bottom half was quite large but impressive nonetheless. The next step was making two smaller ones to complete the body.
Luke and Lily were able to collect enough snow to complete the body and the family stood back and admired their work.
“What do we think?” Ethan said.
“It looks great! But he’s missing a face Daddy!”
“Well lucky for you, Mommy came prepared.” Ethan looked at Victoria.
Victoria headed inside and emerged a few minutes later with some coal, buttons and a carrot.
“Yay! Now he can be a happy snowman!” Luke said.
“What about some arms?” Lily said.
“We can use some sticks from the trees. Although it looks like Jenner found them first. You’ll have to get them off him.” Victoria laughed.
Lily walked over to Jenner who was playing with some sticks he had found. “Can I have the sticks please Jenner?” She asked. Jenner dropped them and looked up at her. “Thank you Jenner! You’re a good boy!”
“Well done for remembering your manners.” Victoria said.
Lily handed the sticks to her Mom. “Can I put them on?”
“Of course. Hand one to Luke and Daddy and I will lift you both up.” Victoria said.
Lily handed one to Luke and soon the snowman had two arms for sticks.
“Now we need to do his face!” Luke said.
Victoria handed Luke and Lily a coal each so that they could put the eyes on. The buttons were then added until all that was left was the carrot for the nose.
“Would you like to do the final honours?” Ethan said to Luke and Lily.
The twins nodded and Victoria and Ethan lifted them up, both of them holding onto the carrot and they placed it on their face, big smiles on their faces.
“Hooray! It looks so good!” Luke said.
“Thank you for making the snowman with us.” Lily said.
“Thank you for inviting us.” Victoria laughed.
“We should make it a tradition to build a snowman every year.” Ethan said.
“Sounds like a plan.” Victoria smiled.
The Ramsey family admired their efforts with a smile. Now they had a new tradition in place, one they couldn’t wait to fulfil every year.

Christmas is in full swing and the Ramsey family are spending their first Christmas as a family of four this year!

South Texas Snow
Snowflakes enchant, they flit and bedazzle microscopically small they alight on the gravel on chilly, dry day they are gratefully welcomed as a replacement for tumbleweeds and rattlesnake venom I may sound extreme, but snow is so rare... At least in South Texas, (And you happen to be there) And the armadillos are all amazed and confused and the scorpions stay silent and watch They don’t now how snow is used and South Texas’ map now has a white splotch Their scent mixes well with the sunbaked land Mixed with dusty sage and old pecan shells they contrast with tiny forms against the tall grass Now you will hear distant yells Little ones have come outside to play and the armadillos all run and hide the red scorpions go quietly away while children run all bushy tailed and wide eyed For the snowflakes enchant as they flit and bedazzle they never fall here, quite so thick So you may wonder at the children's hassle and you think “But is it worth it?” But, oh yes, it is it’s the little things and they will all look back on this day when snow fell in the middle of a South Texas Spring how they enjoyed it, before it melted away. How the little lace doileys when clumped all together .....made a snowman three inches tall! That’s the tallest it can get in South Texas weather but they were out of school to enjoy it all.                                                 ---Ava Nerio (myquestformeestaceesm)

Still a mystery...
Tumblr media
This beanie (just hat) has been on this pole for a week outside the office.
All I know is someone found it and put it there.
There was also a styrofoam pumpkin rolling around too in the wind, and stayed by our office.
IT was claimed by someone. The hat stayed.
I’m starting to create TAG stories in my head about it (all Gordon really as it screams him).
• Gordon did it as a prank.
• The goose from Untitled Goose Game stole both initially and Gordon decided to prank the goose by getting both back, putting the beanie on the pole and running off with the pumpkin.
• Gordon for some reason thought the pole was cold (it’s been 32 F here) so he put it on the pole to warm it up.
• Gordon decides to create a Texan version of a snowman, couldn’t find enough tumbleweeds so he chose this pole and added the hat before going on a mission.
In all honesty: we’re all perplexed why said pole is even THERE, let alone the hat. The stair rail is NOT connected to it.
