For my first string of posts, I'd like to give some anime or manga recommendations! Each post will feature a different series, plus a little about them and why I recommend them. (Everyone has different opinions, and I reserve the right to my own, as well as encourage you to share yours!)

Carole and Tuesday (2019)

Carole and Tuesday is about Tuesday Simmons, who flees her home to pursue music. She meets Carole Stanley busking on a bridge, and they decide to form a band. Together they try to make it big in Alba city, on planet Mars.

Though the premise is fairly simple, the story becomes increasingly intricate. The thorough world-building, as well as character development, are a lot for one show. But, the complexities are handled beautifully and aren’t difficult to process.

The amazing animation paired with excellent music creates a unique mood that makes Carole and Tuesday definitely worth a try.
