DEATH NOTE REVIEW

I just finished Death Note and oooh boy, how do i feel about the show? mixed.

I'd say the first earlier episode of Death Note was good, fucking good as hell. But, as the anime neared it ending the show writing become super weak and the squint if you see it crack in earlier episode become a big huge hole.

The show has fucking huge issue in fucking pushing in boring story, later on as the story progress it leaned more into other things that arent in line with the first few episode that has established the tone, theme of what made the anime great in the first place. Death Note leaned into governtment action tthriller shit later on, like its not that it doesn't line up with what the theme of 'justice system,' yes something caan be said about the governtment here, but death note choose to shit out fucking dust. DUST OF NOTHING BURGER.

Instead, death note choose to shift their tonal of questioning the system, morality and beliefs, like deep dive into subject into some thriller action anime. Like it stripped off all the identity of what make this anime special in the first place thats my point.

Also whoever the mangaka is, a woman is now allowed to throw rocks at you. I DO NOT LIKE HOW THEY WRITE WOMAN HERE, every woman character is basically treated like massive dirt and used for some sort of gravitation for the viewer. Basically all of them if not always serve their purpose for men and the narrative treat them like a sub human below men.

anyway, postive time. I applaud the art ofc, i really love the dark edgy look to it, its so awesome. Despite me calling death note boring earlier, this show is fun, well.. the first few episode of course. I'd say the first few episode is what made this anime great.
