Featuring: @amberbirch48 “ To get the stunning views of the fjord and Oldtown of Kotor, you must first climb the 1350 stairs to the Fortress of St. John or also known as the Castle of San Giovanni. The fortress walls you climb were built between the 9th and 19th centuries which were built by everyone from the Byzantines to the Venetians. It is like a hike through history. During the hike, do not make the mistake of climbing in a skirt and sandals like I did...it is a steep climb but the view was totally worth it. At the top, you can hear the sounds of cows and goats in the pastures nearby.
