Petition to rename ChibiTaru to TsukinMoe!

Propaganda to why I think we should do this despite it mostly being a rarepair:

The “chibi” part of chibiusa’s name isn’t a real part of her name at all! Her full actual name is Princess Usagi Small Lady Serenity (Tsukino) and Hotaru’s being well… Hotaru Tomoe / Saturn

The “chibi” part was only tacked on because for one she was telling Usagi that her name was also Usagi, and she appeared to be related to her so they just dubbed her Chibi-Usa in the past reality compared to her name at home in the future. They also hadn’t realized she was Usagi’s daughter and therefor would later be Serenity (and also considered Usagi to be future Serenity)!

It honestly just feels belittling to continue to call Chibiusa by Chibiusa forever and always 😭 I tend to use it in fandom stuff because it’s hard to differentiate especially to people who haven’t finished the series or only saw a. The 90’s anime or b. The 90’s dub (which is a whole other rant that could be have)

I also think we should stay true to Chibiusa’s last name she uses in the past reality (Tsukino)

but I’d be open to hearing suggestions on others such as SereTaru or SereniSaturn etc

And also we can’t call it HotarUsa or UsaTaru because that would quickly or easily be mistaken for Hotaru x Usagi which . yeah let’s not ☹️
