Final thoughts on TSCYAYFD. I think Lia’s parents were a little bit selfish by keeping her alive so long when she was brain dead. Lia had no quality of life, as she was basically a vegetable. It is incredible that she was kept alive based off of the homeopathic medicine for so long. However, it was not fair of her parents to not just let her go. She could have peacefully died in palliative care, but the Lees refused to let her go and kept her alive. I am not a parent and I cannot understand what they went through. But I wouldn’t want to keep my child alive and watch them rot in a bed and never get a chance to live life just so I didn’t have to deal with his or her death, as it would be more painful.
