The only good part from my story idea eternal prison back in 2019 is that the all mother, the god of all gods was so. Incredibly flawed and so pitiful it was kinda funny

#z rambles #everyone in the story is like mam why is heaven so fucked up LMAOOO and then they finally met the big boss and it makes sense #eternal prison was so messy and all ovee the place. it was actually satire. i mare it to fuck with my friends hating tropes #so i did those tropes and turn it up 100% and whos surprised it sucks.. not me. it tried to tsckle too much #and to be BLUNT. i was too young and i am not that good at literature to be doing all that #but still. the turmoil of God was. great. still like it a lot #even now im trying to tackle. similar concept in my fake album correlations and its going fine but i still need to write 4 more songs #oh well whatever i have time to um. enhance my craft whatever #okay i actually tried tackling similar ideas for. TO BE REAL WITH U. I THINK ALMOST A DECADE #Midlanders is def one of the better ones i did cuz midlamders whole thing is not taking itself srsl. its silly its fun anf its yeah #cuz it doesnt take itaelf srsl. probably why its so good. while etwrnal prison was made to be satire but took itself TOO srsl #and did not. did fucking not go well it sucked so bad it was horirble even for me #correlations. its nice i guess. kinda a balanfe between silly anf serious so i dont have any complain wbout it #i do but tjats a whole othr thing

Re: "teenage immaturity" among YA authors. I agree aspects of this can be sexist, but I was wondering how to tsckle a very real "high school bully" mentality that is, sadly, not uncommon among the YA writing crowd. I don't thonk SMeyer is part of that, but we do know of authors forming cliques, attacking other authors, attacking REVIEWERS (readers) on Goodreads, etc. A lot of it resembles high school bullying, particularly woman on woman bullying, and I think it's worthy of discussion.

Well for starters it might help to realize bullying isn’t a behavior that stops in high school. It really doesn’t have much to do with maturity so much as insecurity and a desire to feel in control and in power, often with a good dose of simple cruelty and meanspiritedness thrown into the mix. None of that is exclusive to high schoolers, and often gets worse as these people enter careers that provide them the opportunity to throw their weight around.

Twitter drama may have that air of petty disputes we associate with high school and immaturity, but it’s the same abusive tendencies exhibited by cops and shitty nurses, amongst others.

And the fact that it seems to be “woman on woman” as you put it is easily attributed to the simple fact that YA is an industry dominated by female authors and female readership.
