Nancy cooks scrambled eggs and bacon at the stove. “Ren, am I doing this right?” She asks her parent, pushing the eggs around the pan. Riley glances over and nods. “Yup, good job Nan.” They say, and Nancy smiles. “Now, we need to add in the bacon bits,” Riley says. Nancy nods curtly, the way she sees TV chefs do. “Yes, chef,” she says, adding them in from a bowl. "As a kid, I remember loving how you would take all these random ingredients and make the tastiest dish. It seemed like magic, and I thought you were so cool for making all these fancy foods," Nancy admits, and Riley's eyes soften as they nod, “Don’t let that go to your head,” Nancy adds teasingly. “You used to stand by me when I was cooking and watch me with wide eyes, and I’d ask you to help peel a potato or knead some dough or grate carrots so you could be part of it. You were my little sous chef.” Riley says with a smile, and Nancy senses the sappiness in their voice and grins, feeling sappy herself. “That was my favorite thing, especially when you told funny stories of you and ma while we worked,” she says.

For some reason, Haruo ended up making boiled rice* in the rice cooker because he was hungry (he’s a resourceful kid for sure). Everyone grabs a serving of that to eat, and they sit down at the kitchen island. Riley slides onto a stool next to their wife and they moon eye her before she gives them a playfully exasperated look. "Ri, can't you keep your eyes off me for two seconds?" She teases, and they grin. "You just look so gorgeous, Steph, especially in that sundress" they say softly and she blushes. Nancy, who's sitting on Stephanie's other side, grumbles at the flirting. "Ren, please, I'm trying to digest my rice in peace." She jokes, patting her stomach. Riley laughs, and they reach under the table to squeeze Stephanie's hand, making her grin too. "I'm just going to leave you guys to your flirting," Nancy says, getting up and walking away.

Watching their sims murder other sims then kiss makes me feel like Brian Cox in the first game watching and saying shit like "you guys are putting the SLASH in the slash fiction!"... I swear I'm normal.
