Another wip, one I've been working on since I started fooling around with 3d modeling and sims modding. For future reference, when using milkshape, you can merge meshes by selecting them all and hitting regroup. Could have used that little bit of knowhow back then, but better late than never. Makes assigning bones to certain pieces much easier. Model and textures are made by Joazzz, all credit goes to him for creating glorious sfm models and for allowing them to be used.

This tail is TRASH y'all.

The tail is bad; I'm no mesher.

I struggled with the joints--the MURF JOINTS tail (above pic) is the version I used in my gameplay pics, with my own manual joints which TBH I like better (especially when on land & using poses!), but which are way more crunchy & off-balance/crooked. The EA JOINTS tail (below pic) uses default joints, which I'm NOT a fan of on land, but which are smoother swimming underwater in diving lots. So I decided to share both with y'all -- You can only install ONE file at a time though!

Also, I added Pregnancy Morphs, but there's a waistline seam I can't get rid of, so you've been warned.

OSLO, Norway — A 1,320-pound walrus that had drawn crowds in Oslo was euthanized by Norwegian officials on Sunday after they decided that the animal posed a risk to humans.

The marine mammal had a penchant for climbing onto boats to sunbathe, sometimes sinking the vessels, the BBC reported.

People were swimming near Freya and throwing objects at her, Vegard Oen Hatten, a spokesman for the Norwegian Directorate of Fisheries, told The New York Times on Friday. People were taking photographs with the walrus, sometimes including their children in the picture while moving dangerously close to her, according to the newspaper.

The agency said in a statement that a decision to euthanize Freya was “based on an overall assessment of the continued threat to human safety.”

“Through on-site observations the past week it was made clear that the public has disregarded the current recommendation to keep a clear distance to the walrus,” said Frank Bakke-Jensen, the director general of the Norwegian Directorate of Fisheries. “Therefore, the Directorate has concluded, the possibility for potential harm to people was high and animal welfare was not being maintained.”

Female walruses can weigh as much as a ton, Nadia Jdaini, another spokesperson for the agency, told CNN in an email.

“She’s not aggressive,” Rune Aae, who teaches biology at the University of South-Eastern Norway, told the Times on Friday. “But if she wants to play with you, you will lose, no matter what happens.”

Freya was first spotted in Oslo in July, the BBC reported. She was named after the Norse goddess of beauty and love.

A protected species, walruses do not usually attack humans. At a wildlife park in China in 2016, a tourist and a zookeeper were killed, the news organization reported. The tourist was taking selfies with the walrus when he was grabbed and pulled underwater, according to the BBC. The zookeeper attempted to rescue the tourist but was also killed by the animal.

There are more than 25,000 Atlantic walruses that live in the cold waters near Norway, Russia, Greenland and Canada, according to the World Wildlife Fund.

Sounds to me like Freya was the one whos safety was at risk. Maybe we should start euthanizing stupid people who refuse to leave wild animals alone.

Augggghhh! Why Me?!? (Computer Woes Again 🤣)

I don't know if anyone knows this, but I've been plagued by computer woes going back to 2019. Everything was fine, but then I lost my hard drive and lost six months of work in the process (as well as several years of photography).

Then I started having trouble with sound and all my WIPs for two years because of a combination of glitches and system configurations that didn't work well with my setup.

Then this past week, it happened again! I noticed my computer acting weird, with heavy usage spikes in Task Monitor. Remembering the horror show of the past, I immediately bought two (yes, two!) external hard drives, and backed everything up.

Literally, on the day I received my second external drive, I launched TS3. It froze, and that was it. I shut the computer down and now it won't even post. I just get a mocking little white indicator light that says "CPU." This is just when I had found the energy to finally complete San Marina and whip up a new YouTube video featuring Pottersville. Always seems as if when I'm in the groove of things, this stuff happens.

Now, I don't believe I lost the drive. I think it's the mobo, because I've always had trouble with it from the start. So, I'm getting a new mobo. Till now, I will have to futz around on my current machine, which is less powerful than the one I've been building worlds in.

I'm really nervous right now, because I don't know whether it's a hard drive, mobo or CPU issue. If it's a mobo issue, then the new mobo will fix everything. If it's a CPU issue, then I have to buy a new one, which will delay San Marin. If it's a hard drive issue, then I lost several hours of work on San Marina, which will set me back after making so much progress. Needless to say, pretty much feeling like this right now:

I installed TS3 on my current PC from discs (way cheaper) and the downside of new hardware was that I had to manually add my graphics card and take like 7 steps per pack install to make the game actually run properly and at a resolution higher than the lowest possible. It was genuinely very frustrating but I did it like 20 times over for every pack as if I have it all I will play with it all despite performance loss.
