Hello and welcome back to my blog!

It’s been a minute, hasn’t it? Life got in the way and honestly, I’ve been taking my sweet time with this new build. It also didn’t help that the Sim File Share site kept giving me errors whenever I tried to upload it and I was supposed to post this last month.

Even now, I’m still dealing with errors on the site and after some frustration, I’ve decided to look into alternative sites for uploading content in the future. But after all the setbacks, it’s finally ready!

This clinic is designed to give a real-life feeling of visiting a healthcare facility. Inside, you’ll find a: reception area, consultation/exam rooms, pharmacy, laboratory, x-ray/radiology, restroom, locker room, staff break room, doctors office and a large empty room for the rabbit hole rug/door. Now, a couple of things to keep in mind - the layout is designed with a small staff in mind but you can use the extra space in the second floor, where the rabbit hole rug/door is placed, if you want to add more offices or any other services. Just make sure that there is enough space for the rabbit hole rug/door to avoid routing issues. I had to get creative with the signs for this build as I couldn’t find anything that felt right or any CCs that matches the layout of the clinic so I made my own directory signs. It is included in the download file and I’ve posted the details along with this post as it is an add-on for the clinic. I’m using a font called Simlish Deja Vu by gazifu@MTS for the signs and I’ve also included translations in the picture above. It’s not perfect but you know what? It does the job! I have also placed a big sign shown on the clinic that translates to 'Pharmacy' and I know it might seem a bit out of place but honestly, it’s the only large sign I liked that fit the building aesthetic I was going for. 📣 Please note that the CC included in the lot are not included on the download file. I’ve compiled a list for those interested in downloading them separately (please click the links above or go to WCIF Navigation page) but those are not required and will be automatically replaced in the game. Any expansion packs with build items listed in the Details section above may be required for this lot to show up in your game. This clinic has been such a fun build to put together and I hope you all enjoy the build. This lot has been play-tested and let me know if you experience any problems on your end!

okay so like im making a save for my gen2 sims in bloom legacy and i wanna show what i've done so far :))

Okay, these are the sims from Appaloosa Plains (TS3 Pets) that I added to Brindleton Bay. Gussie and his pets, that you already know.

/1 Gussie has some troubles paying his weekly 14.000§ bill. As I have some mod conflicts, I can't hire new vets to help him satisfy his customers and get a 5✰ review. And as he's reaaaally bad at getting a wife, I thought: Gussie owns two lots, his pet clinic/where he actually lives and another lot that is technically his main residence but that I chose to ignore. What if I gave him a nerdy roomate/assistant that I only control when he's at the pet clinic and that I send back to the actual residential lot when his shift is over? Sounds nice, right!

Gurpal Einstein was a random townie in TS3 (so, no biography), he's now Gussie's assistant. I will play as if they weren't roomates though as they will sleep on separate lots.

2/ Gussie has the biggest crush on Penny Pizzaz but their story is a rollercoaster and I don't want her to leave San Myshuno, here are 5 new potential wives:

Oriole and Alouette Bird, sisters and their cat Minette:

"The Bird sisters always seem to be above the daily squabbles of the other townsfolk. Slightly aloof and ever mysterious, their charm and porcelain doll appearance earns them many eager suitors. Oriole's fascination with other's knick-knacks has landed her in trouble on numerous occasions, but Alouette's work at the local paper generally keeps the family's name clean. Can this odd couple continue their troublesome ways or will their luck eventually run out?"

Ladies 3, 4 and 5 were townies, so no biography, but they have potential too: Li Lo, Sage Oxendine (AKA naked yoga instructor) and Josy Clover.

Hi! I love all your mods especially the smoking one it's made so well and it's made my gameplay a lot more interesting. Do you think you'll make a drugs mod for ts3 similar to basemental drugs for ts4? Thank you for all your hard work <3

Thanks Anon! As for drugs, well I have the ability to abuse prescription pills in the Psychiatry mod and more opiods/pills coming in the other Private Clinic modules. And if you use the Omiscan religion in my Religion mod, you can eat (and now smoke and soon drink) banisteria which is a psychedelic herb with ranging effects. But that's about it for me.

Mingos (of Birds and Bees fame) has a drug mod called Dark Necessities that is meant to be similar to basemental in early stages. I haven't played with it and not sure where they are with it or if they are still continuing with it but you can test it here.

My TS4 packs wishlist for 2024

(in no particular order)

Supermarket Stuff Pack, with an active career as a cashier and compatibility with Get to Work

Get to School Game Pack, with finally an education system for kids, a daycare career like in TS3, and more different activities for kids.

Dating Game Pack, something with a more in-depth relationship system/attraction.

Dine Out Refresh, long overdue but a patch to fix it for good and adding all the new reciepes/drinks to the menu, and some up-to-date items.

French Destination Game Pack, I would love something inspired by France. Not because it's my country, but also because its so versatile here and there's so much to explore.

Nigerian/Ivory Coast or Kenyan Destination Game Pack. I think Africa deserves to be represented in the game also. Please, do it, and do it well!

Retirement Home Stuff Pack, please, more things for elders!

New Life Stage : Tweens. Teens look so much like adults that its annoying.. Or, at least, do a patch to make them smaller by default. There's mods for it and they work fine so, I don't see the reason why Teens look like Adults. Back in 2024, they were so much alike that it was so weird and it led to unethical situations... Anyway.

Painting Room Kits/Museum Refresh. I love painting and drawing so please, more items around this hobby would be so good. Drawing on tables for Kids... without mod!

Hoobies Game Pack. I loved this pack in TS2, it was so entertaining that its a big miss we do not have something similar after 10 years with TS4. More instruments, new dancing style...

More animals and refreshing the Veterinarian career to include horses! It was a big miss during the launch of Horse Ranch that we didn't have the possibility to expand our Vet Clinic to horses for those who own Cats & Dogs. Also, I would love to have monkeys and parrots. For those who used to have pets in TS2, do you remember having pets making a career? I used to have like a lot of pets and never worked because they bring all the cash, lmao.

New activities for infants/Patch for Infants. (I do not need to add details as everyone has the same opinion).

Pool Stuff Pack, with slides and more activities.

Park Kit. Well... We need more things to make parks realistic without the help of modders. Please, release something to add more to this lot venue.

TS4 Lepacy Challenge (or how TS4 finally got me) pt.2

Gen 9: Vampires + Vintage Glamour stuff

This generation was really, really boring! I'm not into the supernatural theme, so... Forgotten Hollow is tiny, but it's kinda cool for certain sims (great for photos and storytelling). The sim was a real sweetheart, and just because of that, I didn't skip this generation. He was an apprentice to Count Vladislaus Straud, met a girl in Windenburg, found the cure for vampirism, and had a daughter with her. He had a butler and lived in a luxurious house.

Gen 10: Parenthood + Movie Hangout, Kids Room & Toddler stuffs

Babies, babies, and more babies. This girl had a HUGE family! And I tried to follow everything that was asked for in this generation. She married young and had only one love her entire life. She had as many children as she desired, adopted a child, and kept a super well-tended and beautiful garden. This expansion pack is really cute and adds a lot of depth to the relationship between parents and children. It was fun taking care of so many kids, but exhausting! She lived in Newcrest since there wasn't a city requirement.

Gen 11: Cats & Dogs + Laundry Day & My First Pet stuff

In this generation, I ended up getting more attached to the couple's youngest daughter. She was "different," you know how it is. She was all about animals, ran her own vet clinic and worked hard every day. She had a house full of cute kitties and adopted a little girl. Brindleton Bay is simply amazing! I spent a lot of time exploring the town. The pets expansion is also adorable, and I think it's my favorite of all the game's generations (I hardly ever played with pets in TS2 and TS3 because I found it too much work).

(Looks like someone finally got Reshade!) In this generation, I started feeling like taking pictures again, maybe to post them here someday. It's hard to get back :(

Gen 12: Jungle Adventure

I took so many screenshots in this generation, but they just disappeared. I don't know what I did wrong =(

She was a journalist and explorer. Explored a lot of Selvadorada and wrote books about her travels.

Selvadorada is beautiful, but BORING! It was a short generation because I couldn't handle it anymore. I really loved her, but I lost her to an exploration curse.

Gen 13: Seasons + Spooky & Backyard stuff

My long-awaited Seasons expansion! It was such a cute generation!

He reached the top of the gardening career, tended to his garden, and followed all the holiday traditions. He had a little daughter who was a scout. They lived a quiet life in Brindleton Bay.

He tried to make up for everything his mom missed out on because she was always traveling. But they had a good relationship until the end.

Gen 14: Get Famous (Part 1)

OMG, I never thought I'd have such a blast with this expansion! It turned out to be one of the longest ones 'cause I turned off aging in the game.

Del Sol Valley is beautiful but small. Again! I think that's one of the few downsides of TS4 cities. There's very little space for lots. I had so many ideas for this city...

The expansion is really fun, the acting career is well-developed, and it was quite challenging to become a celebrity! I loved all the games, parties, and schemes she had to pull off to truly be considered a star. But most of all, the hard work. I maxed out all the necessary skills. She was perfect! She was the boss! Rich, famous, choosing who she wanted to be with and how. After a while, her job was just being beautiful, hitting the gym, and dodging the paparazzi.

The only one not vibing with all this was her daughter, who went nuts.

Brooke is in the medical career so today she did a vaccination clinic and I laughed so hard at the sim reactions. This was awesome 🤣

Matkooskee - Medical Center and Animal Clinic WIP

This lot is all about health. The medical center will feature a reaserch facility in the basement (where the science lab rabbithole will be put) and the animal clinic will also have a grooming salon. Gonna use and abuse @missy-hissy‘s awesome veterinary career.

4. What lifespan length do you play with?

-usually long life span. but ever since the bug happened where sims would age up with long age span i have kept aging off.

12. A lot of people talk about what’s NOT in the sims 4 that they wish was, but what is your favorite feature that IS in the sims 4 (from base game or a pack)?

-my favorite feature is that sims can easily travel between worlds without me having to focus on 1 neighborhood and sticking to it (i am too indecisive for that) and that my sims can move from one world to another without me having to worry about corrupting the game.

21. What is your favorite career?

In ts3 it was to run a daycare. personal bias is that i worked at a daycare for a year, and i really enjoyed it. It was not always sunshine and daisies, it is a very mentally and physically draining job. but on the other hand it is also a very inspiring job especially when you see the kids grow and learn new skills like talking etc. and it is not an office job where you sit still for 7 hours.

I hope we get daycares in ts4, or that they update parks so more toddlers with their parents spawn there.

In ts4 i love running vet clinics. I didn't expect to like it. but i tested it out when i bought cats and dogs, since it was a new feature in the franchise. i made supriya buy a vet clinic and i really enjoyed the gameplay. it wasn't always easy since the ones she hired wanted to do anything else but their job, i had to lock the doors to the second floor where the showers were (even deleted them) because they spent their shift singing in the showers. otherwise i really enjoyed it and my personal bias for choosing vet is also because it was my dream job as a child. tbh i enjoy all the active careers in ts4.

Hi, I'm from Shang Simla and I love your amazing mods! Thank you so much for your great work in TS3. These are some of the most creative and powerful mods I've ever seen and they give me so much fun in my game. I translated several mods into Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese, if you don’t mind, could you please give me your email address so that I can send you translated SBLT files? maybe you could add them next time you update mods. Also I encountered some minor issues while playing, here’s the list.

Student Counsil: Successfully held campaign "Feedback Day" doesn't bring a day off for school.

Private Clinic:No orange and white lifeguard sign blinking over the head of waiting patients.

When therapists give individual counselling to patients, no thought/speech balloons pop out over the patients' heads.

Offering psych evals will trigger EA interactive "inkblot test', or just inform me "There's not much more useful information an evaluation can provide your doctor".

Even if I turn off the clinic controller, waiting patients won't leave the lot autonomously.

The interaction, "Teamocil" in hospital or grocery store, always displays as "Teamocil" in English, despite I've translated its object package files.

Religion:

When clicking Mausoleum RH to donate, the donation amount is random, sometimes can be zero or a negative number.

Neither peteran nor nonbelievers receive moodlets from giving to the church, or their moodlets disappear the moment they exit RH.

To test these mods, I intentionally removed old saves and other functional mods, keeping only a few essential mods. They should theoretically not conflict with each other, here's the list:

store item fix by phantom99 I tested three saves on three different computers, and all of them had these issues. Not sure if I did something wrong or missed any steps, but perhaps you could fix them in the future?

But this was noted in the testing for the Optometry module so I've implemented this in the next version of the clinic where patients will be pushed to leave the lot after being treated or if they are on the waitlist and the clinic is closed.

Since Teamocil is a brand name, I didn't think it needed translating but I guess even brands are translated into other languages so I've noted this for a future update. I'm curious to know what you would use as a Chinese translation. 🤔

Donations will always be random and are based on current mood, traits and household funds. So they can be zero but shouldn't be a negative number, that part is a bug. So noted for fixing in the next update.

Neither peteran nor nonbelievers receive moodlets from giving to the church, or their moodlets disappear the moment they exit RH. NEED MORE INFO to know whether this is a bug. Getting a moodlet isn't guaranteed and the timeout length is linked to the amount donated but if no matter what amount, the moodlet is always disappearing once they exit the rh, then that sounds like a bug. Please let me know.

I got TS4 when it was $4 a few weeks ago and I want to take advantage of the big sale right now on all the game packs, but I honestly don't know which pack to get. Do you have any recommendations?

i’m a simpleton and a lot of people hate the packs i love, but it depends on what you’re looking for in a game.  packs are separated into three categories: expansion packs, game packs, and stuff packs.

as far as expansions go- 

if you want your game to have a weather system and customizable holidays, seasons is a good one.  

if you want your sim to be able to get a major jump-start in their career due to higher education (or are intrigued by the Dorm Experience), discover university is the way to go.  

if you want to join your sims to work and not just send them out into the void beyond your control, maybe get to work is for you (keep in mind there are only 3 careers–doctor, detective and scientist–if none of these appeal to you, the other appeal of GTW is the ability to create your own retail business.  also you won’t have aliens in your game without this expansion pack.

if you want a pet to take care of or open your own vet clinic, that’s what cats & dogs is for.  unfortunately, unlike ts3, they had to call it c&d instead of “pets” because there are no horses.

if you wanna go to festivals and karaoke bars and live in an apartment with a fixed rent and no raise in property tax, city living can do that (note: there is a singing skill but no career to go along with it, but that’s what career mods are for unless you’re playing on console, which i assume you aren’t)

if you want to be a mermaid or a conservationist and live in more of a beach climate where you can actively try to improve the environment and save it from pollution, there’s island living.  

if you want to become a celebrity or make it so your actions have consequences with a reputation system, that’s all in get famous.

if you want your sim to join clubs and live in a european-inspired neighborhood with tudor-style homes (and the ability to woohoo in a bush), that’s what get together is for.

my personal favorite out of all the expansion packs?  seasons and city living are just about tied.   

then there are game packs, which cost about half as much because it’s implied they have half the content of expansion packs– my favorites are parenthood (does more with the family dynamics, introduced childhood character values which reflect how the sim grows up, teens actually act like teens), vampires, realm of magic (which introduces the spellcaster life state so you all can live out your gay wizard fantasy), and outdoor retreat (which makes it so you can take your sims camping). spa day and dine out make it so you can run restaurants or go to the spa (and also build these lots yourself), but they’re not my absolute favorites.

even cheaper are stuff packs, which are mostly for customization and building but sometimes have cool gameplay mechanics.  the two i love are tiny living (which comes with powerful skillbuilding, financial, gardening, and relationship buffs if you make the house as small as possible as long as you’re specifically building on a tiny home residential lot) and vintage glamour (which has good items and comes with the ability to hire a live-in butler– actually everyone hates this pack for some reason).

the packs i absolutely hate?  jungle adventure has some nice stuff and has a beautiful vacation spot but if played to its full potential feels like British Museum Simulator (getting the most out of the pack involves what is essentially cultural graverobbing).  my first pet stuff is a scam, as you can’t even use most of the items unless you also have cats & dogs.  

EDIT: OH FUCK IF YOU’RE READING THIS ANON i forgot to put “strangerville” on the list list of game packs i love– the aesthetic is excellent, there’s an aspiration that comes with it that’s a little bit like a quest, and you’ll feel like an absolute hero once the quest is done.
