Because my Mom likes to keep shit from me until it's too late, I just overhead from a phone conversation that we are 2 Months behind on rent, and if we are unable to get this grant that's going on she'll have to reach out to relatives for help.

⭐ Cookie's issue with texture and flavor are a huge factor in how she's gotten so good at cooking. However, they also mean she won't cook with many different ingredients. A big one is mayonnaise, she can't handle anything to do with mayo.

⭐ Grooves little shoes aren't heelies, but they do have wheels. He'll spin in circles endlessly on them. He's gotten good at making sure he stays in place when he does

50 Cent wants Mo’Nique to have a second chance in Hollywood and is looking for people to apologize for allegedly “blackballing” her in the industry, namely Oprah Winfrey and Tyler Perry.

Fif took to his Instagram to share his thoughts about the actress by reposting an infographic video from HotNewHipHop that discusses the rapper sharing his thoughts about Mo’Nique’s situation.

“I’m sure Oprah Winfrey and Tyler Perry would not want to continue to allow there influence to damage @therealmoworldwide career and this has went on for way to long,” 50 wrote in the caption. “So now would be a great time to apologize because i’m gonna put her back on. GLGGreenLighGang I don’t miss! #bransoncognac”

Mo’Nique made an appearance on Turnt Out with TS Madison back in February and during her interview talked about a conversation she had with Perry on the phone where the filmmaker allegedly apologized to her. After that phone call, Perry declined meeting with Mo’Nique in person except under two circumstances: that they meet without her husband/manager, and that she apologize to him. Mo’Nique continued by breaking down why she believes the beef between her and Perry has persisted this long.

“Oftentimes when it comes to a Black woman speaking up and speaking out, it goes unheard until she dies. Then once she dies, then we go back and say, ‘Well, she was right,’ and ‘let’s make a movie about it.’” she said at the time. “See, I can give you their names: Eartha Kitt. I can give you their names: Hazel Scott. I can give you their names: Fannie Lou Hamer. I can give you their names: Hattie McDaniel. Just a few weeks ago, the designer launched a series of curvaceous two-tone vases in collaboration with florist, Hattie Molloy.

3. Oscar Piccolo

It’s not often that we feature an international designer, but Oscar Piccolo’s Lampada Cappello is so good how could we not? Plus, it’s in every covetable space right now.

The designer is based between London and Sicily, his curved iron bases (crafted by a metalworker in Palermo) topped with a pleated shade are the stuff of Instagram legend. And for good reason!

4. Kitaboodle

When we featured these piped Kitaboodle cushions in the home of Curated Spaces projects manager Leah Holt, they sold out immediately. And we can see why!

We said that big things were in-store for interior designer-in training, Brigitte Owers-Buccianti, when we featured her Formosa coat-stand last year, and considering it’s shortlisted in the furniture category of The Design Files + Laminex Design Awards, our judges clearly agree!

Made under her brand Real Non-Real, the powder-coated, industrial-inspired steel coat stand comprises a white cement conical base, undulating wave racks and a circular mid-height tray. Wardrobe, bedside table, coat-rack: it can be anything you want it to be!

A cool breeze blew through the valley, rippling softly through the night and bringing the sweet smell of rain from the top of the mountain and swirling the savory scent of Mrs. Cavanaugh’s food. Sparkling stars blanketed the dark sky, offset by the warm, twinkling strands of lights that decorated the courtyard. Music and laughter echoed through the valley, bouncing off the trees before being drowned out by the sound of distant thunder. 

A storm was on the horizon. Lightning flashed through the clouds further up the mountain, but you didn’t care, nor did anyone else. For once, the night was yours. Without a worry or a care. 

With your suit jacket long discarded, your sleeves carefully rolled up and your tie undone, you were finally relaxed. 

After a month of being on the run and on edge, you felt a strange calm in the air.

Year 5 in Review

It’s that time of year again!

Five years ago today, I spent all day long writing my very first fanfic. And since the internet gave me validation for it, I’ve never looked back.

Thank you to everyone who’s been here with me from those early Hobbit-fandom days and stuck with me through all the weird fandoms. Thank you everyone who’s shown up along the way. Thank you to the newcomers, I hope you stick around long enough to become friends as well.

The most exciting news of this year is, of course, the fact that my very first full-length novel got published. Rescues and the Rhyssa was a labor of love, and the love and support it has received only makes me more eager to polish up my other original novels and help them see the light of day as well!

Now for the numbers: AO3 tells me I’ve posted 120k this year. That’s a fair amount lower than last year, but editing/publishing stuff ended up eating a lot of my time, as well as time lost from brain-med trials which were all, unfortunately, unsuccessful. But I’m still here, still writing, and 120k isn’t too bad.

A few of the year’s fic highlights include -

omnes daemones inferni properent in culo meo - Junkrat/Roadhog, priest/demon AU. Young priest-in-training Jamison realizes he’s way too gay to join the clergy and accidentally summons a demon (Roadhog) who teaches him that he deserves better (by way of hands-on sex ed).

Hidden in Plain Sight - Junkrat/Roadhog, cisswap AU. Roadhog has been carrying a secret for a very long time, and when she finally tells Junkrat he is delightfully much more bi than anticipated (and into her no matter what her gender is). Happy smuts ensue.

Harpaxophilia - Nori/Dwalin, roleplaying galore. A colab with Hattie, so it’s full of art! One of Dwalin’s favorite fantasies is being robbed, tied up, and at the sexual mercy of a thief. His husband, Nori, is more than happy to safely provide this experience. Well-negotiated kink is enjoyed by all.

Keep this going until Judgement Day - Nick Valentine/Sole Survivor - Despite the harshness of the wasteland, and personal insecurities and hangups, the enby that time forgot and the mechanical man make a go of it. Love and unwavering support for all.

Thank you, everyone, for another year. And may we all dig deep like weeds and thrive despite these horrid times.
