guys i’m ngl i see a ton of people posting about how great the trevor project is, especially right now, but every time i ever tried to call or message or anything them for support they would put me on hold for upwards of three hours and the only people i do know who ever got to actually talk to them had the workers essentially just say “well we’ll call 911 to your location if you’re a threat to yourself or others and also we have no resources to help you” so. just saying that’s not the lifeline some people think it is.

#also their ‘community website’ they have for people to like make friends n shit #is SO incredibly toxic #it’s a cesspit of 13 year olds looking for boyfriends and saying they’re hypersexual and stuff #with zero moderation except in the case of people saying ‘hey i have [disorder] and struggle with [symptoms] does anyone have advice or #help?’ which is what the site is actually For #and then the posters get permanently banned for inciting conflict because ‘talking about [recovery from symptoms] is controversial #and could make others feel invalid’#so #yeah.#ts and the trevor project is not as good as people idolize it to be
