Ok so yesterday was bonkers and I was super focused on the move and I didn’t really process the whole getting laid off thing. Like I literally started laughing when the guy told me, because of course it happened on moving day. But- they’re giving me four weeks severance, which is kind of amazing. And it also means I have my rent for next month and also that I have a little cushion AND nothing but time to find a new gig, which I was already planning on doing once I got settled into the new place anyway. So I’m gonna take a few days to get the house I’m working order and then hit! Those! Courage

I wish I had the answer to why I feel this way Being able to reply to 'Are you okay?' With a confident 'Yes' accompanied with a real smile Instead of lying through my teeth Clenched jaw,mask on My thoughts are catching up to me Trapped in the haze of loneliness The longest nights The grip that insomnia has,unwilling to loosen it's grasp Wondering when this will end When will I feel happy again When will this dull ache go away Wanting nothing more than happiness But seeing anything through the emptiness seems impossible But you carry on regardless Eventhough you're exhausted You still search for that bliss The hope that things will get better with your determination to see past the lies you tell yourself everyday,like a bad record you don't wanna hear but still turn up louder.
