#trying so hard to ignore the art mistakes I made 😭😭

I finished the Natlan archon quest a couple days ago and wanted to share my thoughts + my Capitano art dump/ screenshot sketches cause he’s so fun to draw and literally my favorite character rn alongside bill lol :>>

Anyways, I even tried making my own version of what Capitano might look like w/o his mask even though I think he looks amazing with it on (I’m aware the scars may not look as accurate as they should but it was a trial and error for me so please don’t hate too much :,)

At first I didn’t like Mavuika that much mainly design wise but after playing the quest she started to grow on me 😭 and her design too

THE CUTSCENES WERE SO COOL?!? like the whole Capitano vs Mavuika was so epic Ragh whelp like something I’ve seen in those crazy anime fights 🤔 but idk since I don’t watch anime :/

I HOPE CAPITANO IS PLAYABLE I kept looking at those random videos online and everyone is saying he won’t be playable in Natlan but Columbina will or something around that 😐 honestly I’m not that interested in comunbina which is ironic because I loved drawing biblical angels and she kinda is one but she hasn’t really interested me yet so im really hoping Capitano is playable within Natlan

The friendship between Mualani and Kachina is amazing and so wholesome :))

I loved Mavuika’s room with all those items in it reminds me of me with my random items I collect but I got so sad when she had to use them as fuel 😭 cause some of the stuff was so damn pretty. Does that mean she also burned the picture of her family 😦

I love the damn animals in Natlan they’re so cutee EPESCIALLT THE CAPIBARAS RAGHHH

I’m excited to see who was talking to Capitano at the end of the archon quest cause I feel like it’s Ororon

And I’ve noticed that in the out of barrier areas there’s a lot of stuff that isn’t realized which looks like the other tribes they look so cool I can’t wait to finish my oc finally and make them based of the saurians from one of the tribes

I’ve gotten over 20 or so pulls in barely 3 days or so 😭 it’s so crazy I love it. All those wishes are being saved up for capitano >:D

I got kazuha on a one pull and I’m not complaining heh ( he’s at level 50 rn rotting as I travel Natlan I’ll probably forget I have him honestly )

Sorry for being gone again, I was losing motivation to post so I took a break instead and a lot of things happen during that but over then that I am back now so hopefully I will post more in the meantime

anyways these are my new wc ocs Sun'tropical and his sister Almond'belly along with snowclan having their official clan logo in it, I honestly don't like the warrior cats logo they have in the books for me to use instead and draw it over to add their clan logo it looks boring in my opinion 😭

Scars are given by (or from) Stoat'watcher when they were app as, Sun'tropical was trying to include himself to him and the other apps from their enemy clan at his first gathering along with his sister as apps.

Almond'belly:

Brother: Sun'tropical

Siblings: 3 unnamed siblings

Mentor: Water'burrow

Both Used to be a kittypet but overheard that they were gonna send them to a killer shelter by another twoleg cat to make them get scared of and run away and never come back ever again, which have worked however it made them to run off to the forest where they approach to snowclan territory without realizing until an border patrol led by Dog'tail with few of their clanmates until they noticed the 2 kittypets and bought them back to camp until ray(Sun'tropical) explain what were they doing and this was all a mistake, which Quiet'star spare them but also invited them to the clan too where they were made as app and renamed as Sun'paw and Almond'paw and receiving Robin'feather and Water'burrow as their mentors.

Until moons later they became warriors as Sun'tropical and Almond'belly, where Sun'tropical also befriended 2 middle age warrior name Fish'fang and Otter'splash where they always spend time together until Sun'tropical sister tells him that she has feelings for Fish'fang and wants him to help her to get together with Fish'fang but no matter how hard Sun'tropical trys to get Fish'fang to spend time with her, he refused to and wasn't even interested of her at all.

And unknowingly to both of them Fish'fang has a crush on another warrior name Winter'berry who was around his age and Fish'fang wasn't interested in Sun'tropical sister at all but later became upset when Winter'berry rejected him when he confessed his feelings towards her on a hunting patrol where Winter'berry reveal that she wasn't in him because she has feelings for Sun'tropical causing Fish'fang to be jealous and ignore Sun'tropical the rest of the day afterwards including how Fish'fang made Otter'splash to stay away from him by spreading lies to Otter'splash about him.

yadada where until snowclan med cat(sorry I forgot the med cat name💀💀) reveal that Sun'tropical was apart of a prophecy of defeating Brackenclan future leader Stoat'watcher yadada until soon later Fish'fang became even more jealous when it was fully reveal to the whole clan.

here’s a colouring tutorial I made a while back, my general process for painting hasn’t changed all that much ghfgs. Sketch>flats>details>effects using minimal layers if i can help it! I’ll also link a recent timelapse I did so u kind of see the full start to finish, you cn hopefully see a bit more of the rendering for yourself rather than just hav me try 2 explain :’>

whether or not I use the lasso tool usually depends on the amount of detail I’m going for with a piece though lately I have been making more frequent use of it. like if there’s Lots going on in a given area that I’m trying to render I’ll lasso it off so that I don’t fuck up anything else I’ve already worked on! I’m also getting into the habit of using it for blocking in initial hair shadows

my sleep schedule is so fucked so its hard 2 guess accurately but i think usually if I’m rly focused and in the Zone with like. ur average drawing it’ll take me a little under 24hrs? N for bigger pieces with more than 2 characters it can take anywhere from 2-4 days I’d say? u know oddly enough tht megumi/yuuji piece didn’t take very long at all I actually finished it all in the span of one evening i was really surprised at myself :’) 

I consider a piece to be done when there’s no more sketchiness or glaring mistakes n I’ve had my fun playing around with the saturation/colour balance/contrast settings :’> slap a textured overlay on that bad boy and call it a day cast it into the void of tumblr n wait for validation frm strangers on the internet
