When it comes to media I enjoy I get so much brain-rot, and zuchiyeni’s idol! Au has been plaguing me, so I thought I’d share for anyone mildly interested. And I’m definitely totally not procrastinating.

these are just headcanons (?) and ideas mwaha.

I WANT TO TALK ABOUT IDOL DREAM✨ because it’s dream.

VOICE WISE , I think it’s pretty universal in fandom to imagine dream’s voice as more ✨feminine✨ (correct me if I’m wrong).

But an au that contains SINGING provides OPPORTUNITY. See, Dream’s well known , recognizable, popular, surely he is unique in some way. “Pretty voice” is Great and all, But he gives me ‘actually talented vocalist’ vibes. like. Imagine he’s got this really pretty atmospheric voice, pretty normal idea. Now ELEVATE THAT. Imagine he has the vocal capacity to be gritty. I’d ASSUME that’s not their music style typically (I have no idea what their music will be like to be clear) but just the ABILITY. To be really raw and powerful. And it comes out sometimes *ascends* that makes it more interesting imo. He’s sweet, mipy cinnamon roll. But boy could keep up with like a metal band if he wanted. That’s just equally funny and amazing.

I have example ideas but I’ll leave that out unless someone wants em so that this isn’t torture text to read hhhhh.

My brain is also convinced that dream gets passionate in that way when he’s absorbed in emotions rather than performance. Like, if he’s invested in a song, he sometimes disassociates. That’s when the most impressive performances happen either way, I imagine ink and blue let it happen and just keep an eye on him. subtly snap him out of it afterwards.

He really likes Error. As a celebrity. I have an explanation I promise. Original Dreamtale Dream, according to the creator, has a respect for error. INTERESTING, right? You’d think their opposing morals would suggest otherwise?

But maybe Dream sees some of himself, or understands Error despite not interacting much. The both have a conviction, a belief, and they adhere to/ act on that. …alone. ERROR is convinced that alternates of the original world are bad, so he’s convicted to take care of it. It’s HIS responsibility in his mind. And the task is IMPOSSIBLE. he knows that deep down. But he tries, and he's all alone in it.

DREAM has been conditioned to believe that his worth/ purpose/ existence all ties back to making sure everyone is happy. That’s IMPOSSIBLE. But, he’s convicted of this as his sole purpose. So he tries. And he knows it’s impossible. And he’s all alone in it. They are both just isolated. So while dream doesn’t necessarily agree with him, specifically his erm, methods. (Cause dream DOES understand balance and probably can somewhat understand his pov) he doesn’t hate him, he has RESPECT. EVEN MORE INTERESTING IF YOU INCLUDE INK. He may align with Inks values MORE than Errors. He’s respectful towards and works together with Ink. But I think Ink has lost his respect. It’s confirmed that in dreamtale, dream and ink have some sort of falling out. There’s broken trust. Imagining inks response to dream not disliking error as much as he should is interesting. Lmao ig they both have drama with ink. (END SIDE TANGENT)⚠️

ANYWAYS. Back to applying this to Idol! Error strikes me as a more ‘senior’ idol. I’m just imagining dream enjoys watching his performances and keeping up with his fanbase, just. Happily watching interviews and listening to his music sometimes. <3 Does he entirely emulate him? no X) he just liked him. And if he takes notes sometimes, that’s his business.

I’m going to assume we all already are guessing dream and nightmare have some sort of drama🤪. I really like the idea of the MT.trio and The Stars performing together , despite probably being rivals, but I wonder if MT.trio looking up to Nightmare would affect that. Like, depending on how the twins feel towards each other, Nm might be like ‘avoid dat biatch’ and the trio is like ‘yes yes, very bad’ 😪✨ (also if what are their FANBASES like???? Like interacting with each other?? Drama much?) also I guess this could apply to Error. Is he a rival to nightmare? Are they friendly? Either way, does he care much about nightmares opinion? If they are RIVALS him interacting with dream and crew is funny.

(I imagine blue is friends with like everyone anyway. And ink probably would tolerate him if he had to.) but If nightmare is negative towards dream, and Error is a friend of his, it’s kind of great imagining Error just being chill and aloof but mentally assessing dream when they interact, keeping in mind what nightmare has said. Next time nightmare complains about his brother errors like ‘lol ur little bro seems perfectly normal but ok hoe B)’ *proceeds to hang with both of them*

OMG I am loving the werewolf au I'm flipping my shit!! What happens when the losers start suspecting richie??! How does Richie react? What does our boy Eddie think of werewolves? What does he think of Richie being a werewolf??! Do the losers talk about why Richie would be terrified of werewolves when he is one? So many questions and thoughts! Also, really think about richie locking Eddie's mouth. What do werewolves do to attract/choose mates??pls tell me more!🥺🧐🤯💭🐺

If any Loser was like “Hey Richie do you believe in werewolves?” Richie would just be like: *sweats nervously* “Haha what the fuck is a werewolf?” and then run away.

Eddie definitely accepts the werewolf conspiracy pretty easily. He has pretty much the same thought process as everyone else: That if things like It or Maturin or Gan can exist, why not werewolves, too? His thoughts on werewolves, initially, would be that they’re scary and potentially dangerous and that what happened to Ben was just a fluke, and something needs to be done ASAP to protect everyone from these predators, and what if they were just trying to gain Ben’s trust so they could lure him into a cave and devour his guts, and what if--? (Yeah he spirals pretty quick and Mike has to talk him down from his panic attack)

So the first time he encounters one is when this massive black beast comes crashing out of the undergrowth in the Barrens as he’s walking down Kansas Street on his way home one evening, and it’s getting dark and there’s no traffic or any other people around, of course. Just his luck, right? He screams (not that anyone in Derry ever reacts to someone screaming when it isn’t convenient for them) and tries to run away, but the thing is already upon him, and he can feel its hot breath on his face as he’s knocked prone on the grass, so he squeezes his eyes shut and waits for the teeth to close around his throat. Or his heart to break through his ribs. Whichever comes first. He’s pretty sure he is having a real legitimate heart attack this time. 

Instead, there’s a wet tongue dragging across his cheek, and then again, and he braces his hands against the wolf’s face as he opens his eyes, trying to push it away. He could swear the damn thing is smiling at him, and its tail is wagging a mile a minute, and it looks honest-to-god happy, staring down at him with these pretty bright blue eyes, and he’ll admit the sleek black fur on its face is kind of... soft. Maybe really soft. And he’s also willing to admit that for being a “ferocious beast,” it’s also, maybe, stunning, in some way or another. After all, how many times has he seen a real wolf up close like this? It’s a sight to behold. “Oh,” he says, still holding its very fluffy face in his hands. “You’re beautiful.” 

The wolf goes apeshit, wriggling and jumping, nearly crushing Eddie’s head under one of its huge paws and breaking free of his hold to lick all over his face and then -- ugh -- in his mouth, which is fucking gross. But he doesn’t get killed or eaten or anything terrible like he expected, and his whole opinion on werewolves changes after that interaction. Instead of focusing on protecting the residents of Derry from these wolves, he decides, maybe they should focus on protecting these wolves from the residents of Derry. Which will be easier to accomplish if they can just figure out who they are, right?

Okay whew kinda got carried away with that but anyway I think once Eddie starts to suspect Richie is a werewolf (specifically that werewolf) he’d think it was kinda cool, and also be embarrassed that he called Richie beautiful to his face like that, even though it’s true in either form. And also, now that he thinks about it, those eyes did seem pretty familiar, and that wolf seemed a little too "familiar" with Eddie. 

(Maybe later he thinks Richie being a werewolf is something a little more than “cool,” but as a teen he’s like, “Yeah that’d be pretty sick actually, but I really hope he doesn’t eat, like, raw meat. He could get worms. Should we put some cooked chicken in the Barrens so Richie isn’t eating raw meat? Guys?”)

I’m sure the subject of Richie’s fear of werewolves comes up at some point, and Stan’s probably the one who gets closest to the truth as the argument gets thrown around: Why would Richie be afraid of werewolves if he already is one? Why would he have to be afraid of himself? Stan is almost definitely the person to realize that, hey, maybe werewolves aren’t born with the ability to shift, and it’s just something that they develop over time, and Richie was afraid of it as a kid because he knew what was coming and it was this strange unknowable thing that he had no power to stop and that’s a pretty good reason to be scared? Like wasn’t regular puberty bad enough, you guys? Imagine throwing “turning into a fucking werewolf” into the mix.

I will elaborate more on the mouth-licking in a different ask because someone else is also asking about that and this answer is already too long lol

And also. God. Richie as a wolf still has his human intelligence and memories, but the instincts of a werewolf, and... sometimes those don’t mix. Does he know, logically, that the key to wooing Eddie does not involve animal carcasses? Yes! Are his instincts as a werewolf telling him that in order to attract a mate, he must first prove that he can provide for them? Also yes! Eddie is disgusted to keep finding dead animals on his front porch. His mother is fucking appalled. Eddie asks Richie (when he’s human) if he’s been leaving dead rabbits at Eddie’s house. Richie, who has some sense of self-preservation and whose human brain knows that isn’t “good” behaviour, denies it at first. And it isn’t so much that as a werewolf, Richie chose Eddie as a mate, it’s just that he’s been in love with Eddie for years and that doesn’t change when he stops being human. In fact, it gets harder to hide when he stops being human, apparently, because he really struggles to resist the urge to leave “food” on Eddie’s doorstep and to not constantly be all over him, among other things. The struggle is real.

#Paladin Part 8. Start Digging. Twila and Rehn

Twila: Nothing that can't wait Rehn. What information do you need? Does it involve the more than typical amount of aristoscats floating around?

  Rehn: I notice that she doesn't tell me exactly -what- I interrupted. I'll file that away to talk about tomorrow.*

 Yes, you could say so. Do remember that underground fight club we took down a few years back? The one that basically conscripted males on the basis of gambling debts >and turned them into gladiator slaves? It's back in business. We always knew that we hadn't gotten the brains of the operation. At the time I hazarded a guess that someone in the Glymera in Caldwell was pulling the strings but since they left us alone I didn't pursue it. I should have. Someone reached out to me tonight to tell me her son had been taken again and her daughter threatened. I've taken steps to sequester the families involved before but I doubt that's going to be enough. I need to find out who's behind it and deal with them.

  Twila: Fucking boot lickers. *Kicking the cabinet next to me as a growl rolls up and out my throat*

 I was hoping it was for a spring social when #Dalin said he saw personal planes come in a few times. He said he recognized #Arthuro and his bastard son #Ahmos get off a flight, guess it was 2 weeks ago now. They live high on the hog but have less than a worm shits out in reality. What specifics do you know or need?

Rehn: *Mildly* Language, Twila. My mahmen would have had a coronary listening to you.

 *It was an open secret that #Ahmos, son of #Arthuro, was a brute who liked gambling and abusing women. Both Glymera and the working class locked their daughters up on the rare occasions he had visited before. But that his father came with him this time had me raising an eyebrow*

 I need to know when your source started noticing an unusual number of private planes arriving and if any of them had large groups. If you can find out where they stayed it might tip me to who is supporting them among those that live here. Also, any large shipments coming in by plane. Check with the food wholesalers. If they've got males conscripted they have to feed them. If you don't find hotels or private homes they've been staying in, my guess is they've expanded to a full-service operation that includes lodgings for their out of town guests. I'll do the same with shipments coming in through the docks and furniture wholesalers. And put your ear to the ground for any missing on the streets or from the working class. Male and female.

  Twila:  #Arthuro is a lickspittle of the highest degree. Odds are he's bending over for his son and son's friends. #Dalin said he noticed the first plane show up two months ago, Rehn. He didn't give it much thought because it wasn't a big deal to see the occasional private plane. But last week he told me he'd noticed more and more. Like one every couple of days. He said one of those planes last week had boxes it delivered. It had food and medical supplies. He had been pillaging food supplies from carts in the hangers that's why he was there at all. *mumbling to myself...* Consarn it, should have seen shit coming. Fucking devils balls! Rehn, one of those bitches had females. Nothing but females #Dalin said. He figured a party was afoot but what if that's the food supply you're looking for? Or at least part of it. #Dalin said they were definitely not Glymera females. He said one of those big ass Hummers came and got them. That was 2 nights ago.

 Rehn: *A growl rumbles in my throat. The motherfuckers were starting their sex trafficking by bringing in outside females, probably abducted from clubs in Caldwell.* The female who called me has a pre-trans daughter. When they came for her son, they threatened to come back for the girl. A child. A fucking child, Twila. The ones #Dalin saw might have been adult but something tells me they're just the start of the sex stable.

 *Fighting to control my growing anger, I harness it into cold rage, reflected only in my eyes and voice.*

 They have to have a place to house those females. If it's a hotel a group like that wouldn't go unnoticed. You should be able to find out. I've just spent a good part of the evening in Glymera homes and saw nothing that indicated any guests, but I'm not ruling them out. I'll dig more there. See if #Dalin can remember anything else. *wryly, knowing it's unlikely, but...* A license plate would be good but there aren't that many Hummers in South Carolina. My people should be able to run down the registrations. And Twila, tell #Dalin if he needs food not to risk stealing from the Glymera. He can come see me. We'll figure something out that lets him keep his dignity.

  Twila: Human and pre trans females are best for trafficking. Easier to control and put fear in. Cocksuckers every one of them aristoscats. *spits on the ground* As for accommodations, I will look into that. Matter of fact, might have an idea about where they are staying. Hotels would be noticeable unless it’s a closed one. Those, nobody thinks much about. I'll get back to you on that, gonna chat with a couple of my gurus and Ra. He may know something too.

 Ya I've told #Dalin that Rehn but, believe it or not, he's more stubborn than I. In fact, he was supposed to check in with me an hour ago. That's not normal, he's punctual.

Rehn: And he's never late? *frowning* Twila, be careful. I know, I know, "I'm always careful, Rehn" *mimicking the tone she usually uses when I caution her,* but this isn't what you're used to. These people aren't just violent. They're organized and "entitled." That makes them more dangerous than an individual male or a couple of assholes.

 *Traffic picks up as I enter downtown Charleston. A glance at the clock tells me I've got 10 minutes to make it into Hharm's Way or #Aahron and #Mikhail will be sending out the dogs. They won't trust a phone call. Anything you don't see for yourself can be coerced.*

 I should put a tracker on you. Twila, I've got to go. I'm making an appearance at Hharm's Way. My visit to the Glymera had a purpose. I let it be known where I was ending the night. I'm normally more circumspect, but I'm playing bait in a trap tonight.

Twila: Oh but I'm supposed to be careful? Careful is a two way street you insufferable gigantor.

 *I reign in the worry. Emotions do no good. But I'd miss the male if something happened to him. Won't hear me say it though. Nope!*

 I'm going to #Dalin's usual haunts and put in a visit to a couple other gurus that know certain empty establishments around the city. I'll call you in a day or two.

  Rehn: *Easing the sleek black beast onto a darkened street a couple of blocks from the bar, I slide into a street spot and put it in park*

 I know I often don't hear from you for several days, Twila, but these are unusual circumstances. I need you to check in regularly. *Punching off the call, I step from the car. I'd left ample room between where I parked and the busy street if anyone decided cared to make a move but if someone is going to try for a hit tonight, I suspect it will be on my way out. Logic will tell them I'll be easier to handle if I've had a few drinks. Logic would be wrong. Reaching the main street, I turn towards the neon sign illuminating the bar entrance. Boldly colored, "Hharm's Way" was centered inside a ship, a play on words that mixed an old human naval phrase with the name of deceased member of the Brotherhood. Humans would think it a gimmick. Vampires knew it was a signal for our species. And either way, I was intent upon going into harm's way.*
