This is something I've been thinking about for a while. Yes it is a video of me playing and there are millions of video of musicians playing, but here on this description box I will be talking what I am playing on the video. When I learned this type of music and heard of it and how it became apart of my playing. I'm playing over simple Bb Blues changes. The very first blues I have learned in high school. I remember getting a Bb blues solo in a high school jazz concert. Never in my life I had played something as a Bb blues before during that time. I was up for the challenge. So I listened to the blues. The only person I knew at the time was B.B. King. So I popped in a CD I borrowed from the band director. WOW!!! Never heard so much soul coming from him as a singer and blues guitarist. I must've heard that album everyday for a month. Learning what B.B. did on the guitar. He has a song in Bb blues and I mimicked his solo. The day of the concert my solo had come up and I played what I have learned. It was surreal. My first solo. From that day forth the Blues was embedded into my brain. But it wasn't til college that the Blues hit my like a lighting bolt out of heaven.
