I just finished watching True Beauty and, my heart is broken for Seojun,💔 thanks for reviving my feelings, beautiful series. I relate too much to him. And also Jugyeong. It's almost impossible to not emphatize with her being a girl who went through high school hell. A person full of insecurities and doubts, secrets. Urgh... one of the things I hate most about True Beauty is that the artist completely changes Jugyeong's face when she transforms. And no I don't mean how pretty she is, I mean that her sclera somehow get bigger and her nose becomes a totally different type. She also suddenly gets intense frown lines. Like, I'm sorry, small sclera or a big nose or deep seat frown lines would persist even across heavy makeup or contact lenses. It just irritates me, because it feels like I'm not supposed to be taking her seriously without makeup because the artist puts SO MUCH WORK into making her look ugly and ridiculous and drawing all these exaggerated faces, when, lbr, she'd just look like a slightly below-average Korean woman. I don't know, it drives me up the wall.

Why can't Mrs Author just draw her like that more? 😭 I get that she herself has dysmorphia and sees herself the way she is in the comparison, but if it's meant to be an actual scene where she's legitimately feeling things and is in a /hospital/ can't we let go of the meme drawings for once? 💀
