i have a feeling that stanley uris has a nice voice. he looks like the type of guy to sing one of the most beautiful rhymes you've ever heard in your life while making scrambled eggs in the kitchen at 8 in the morning. he never paid attention to this part of himself, simply because of poor self esteem and self worth - he probably gets frustrated when his mom walks in the kitchen when he is singing a low tune out of habit and cuts his sentence in the middle, praying his mom didn't hear him because he thinks his voice is bad.

well, richie disagrees. very proudly so. it wasn't like stanley openly sang to him, no, no way in earth would he do that. but one time when richie was sleeping over at uris', and in the morning when he woke up to stan's bed being empty, he immediately made his way into the kitchen after throwing on some clothes (which he had no idea if it belonged to him or stan) and cracking his entire spine while yawning relentlessly.

richie walks very quietly, so it was no surprise when he approached the door of the kitchen, stan was still singing.

richie stopped in his tracks, contemplating if he was hearing what he was hearing, his eyes widening behind his thick lensed glasses, as he instinctively leaned close to the door to hear him better. stan was singing a song by frank sinatra, which came off as familiar to richie even though he couldn't remember the name.

richie didn't walk make a single sound or movement until andrea came down the stairs and called out his name. he jolted, as stan's voice died down in an instant, as he made the sleep-over-regular 'how was your sleep' talk with mrs. uris.

richie and stan never talked about that. ever. richie knew stan would probably be mildly embarrassed because it was richie who caught his singing, the trashmouth, who probably were never gonna live it down - and richie couldn't figure out how to bring out the topic without sounding like he was describing an angel's melody to an atheist.
