#Repost @jessica__chokolatejourneys with @get_repost ・・・ 1st January, 2021 A New Year. The packaging of @solkiki_chocolatemaker Coasta Esmeraldas 70+0 seemed very fitting. Note: 70+0 = zero added cacao butter. The bar is simply a combination of cacao bean and sugar. My experience - Banana! Immediately my palate was hit with the flavour of banana. Gosh! I was not expecting that!? This was followed by a prominent cacao/dense chocolaty note, subtler notes of mixed spice and sweet milk tea biscuit. The banana flavour evolved, taking on a more passionfruit and mango jammy tropical character, which lingered at the finish. A quick melt, despite the zero presence of cacao butter, with a sticky, thick custard, mouth feel (like it contained dairy when it didn't). Not bitter or astringent rather bold, dense chocolaty, and thick. It reminded me to dipping fruit into melted chocolate. Yum!!
