(  hale appleman,  thirty-nine years old  )     ⸻     the  tri - wizard  tournament  has  brought  in  a  few  new  faces  to  the  corridors  of  hogwarts  and  while  they  are  here  he  has  been  known  to  listen  to  running up that hill  by  kate bush  on  repeat.  SIRIUS BLACK,  the assistant groundskeeper & former gryffindor has  made  hogwarts  their  home  for  the  next  coming  months  and  if  you  ask  the  sorting  hat  ,  they  will  tell  you  that  they  can  be  protective  ,  loyal  and  clever  but  their  friends  will  tell  you  that  they  are  also  unpredictable.  people  have  been  whispering  with  the  talk  of  you  know  who  and  i  think  if  it  comes  down  to  it,  they  will  side  with  the  light⸻

BIOGRAPHY:

born in london to walburga and orion black, sirius was the long awaited heir to the noble and most ancient pureblood house. 

sirius had a difficult childhood with his parents and his brother. he never quite fit in to the shape he was expected to. sirius was considered weak when he should have been strong, and was far too sentimental towards the people he was supposed to hate. 

when sirius finally attended hogwarts he was sorted into gryffindor house, the first in his family to ever be sorted in that way. it drove another wedge between him and the rest of his family and created a chasm between them that he could never walk back across. 

sirius’s first friend was james potter. they were practically joined at the hip and did almost everything together. sirius and james, along with remus lupin and peter pettigrew, were close friends and got themselves into endless amounts of trouble while they were at school. 

in classes sirius excelled in astronomy, ancient runes, defence, and care of magical creatures. 

it took a long time for sirius to overcome all of the issues given to him by his family, and a long time again to unlearn some of the dangerous ideas he had learned subconsciously in the first sixteen years of his life. sirius was always prone to being a little bit vindictive and quick to anger, and dealt with a lot of emotional issues over his life. 

during the first war sirius was a member of the order of the phoenix and fought against lord voldemort. this was somewhat difficult for him as his entire family was on the other side. but sirius was loyal to his friends and would have done anything to protect them. unfortunately the war was a heavy weight on all of their shoulders, and some of those friendships fell apart in the midst of it. 

when james and lily were killed sirius knew that peter pettigrew must have sold them out to the death eaters. he instantly went after peter and tried to catch him, and might have killed him if peter hadn’t gotten the better of him. 

sirius ended up in azkaban for many years. in many ways he did blame himself and consider himself guilty for james and lily’s deaths. he escaped azkaban only when he realised that peter pettigrew was still at large, and that the man was at hogwarts with harry. 

sirius was almost caught again and sent back to azkaban at the end of the last school year, however albus dumbledore found a way to clear his name and has given him a position at hogwarts while he rehabilitates.

(  cha  eunwoo,  nineteen  )     ⸻    it's  not  often  that  you  hear  muggle  music  in  the  halls  and  corridors  of  hogwarts  but  when  you  hear  new  skin  by  vérité,  you  know  that  it's  draco  lucius  malfoy.  the  fourth year  slytherin  is  known  around  the  grounds  as  being  sagacious  ,  voluble  and  industrious  but  if  you  know  them  really  well,  you  know  they  can  be  very  mordant.  there  have  been  some  whispers  that  their  family  are  siding  with  the  dark  but  right  now,  all  we  truly  know  is  that  this  year  is  going  to  be  very  different.

𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡  𝐦𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧��  𝐚𝐧𝐝  𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞,

toujours pur. pure is the heart that throbs in sepsis ; that swells under necrosis, unable to bleed. to be pure is to be unyielding in one's beliefs and worship of that which can only be sworn yet never seen. draco knows this even as he resurfaces from the fever of childhood, transfixed on his father's lips and the small cruelties they shape.

he is sixteen, on the precipice of his first year at hogwarts, and narcissa stands vigil by his bedside when he slips uneasily into slumber. she says, before you go, my love, you must leave the best parts of yourself here. there, they just take and take. pure is the mind that hums with the electricity of unfettered anticipation --- how can he not ? his mother is a phantom whose fretful caution gnaws at his skin. unfailingly doting, he simpers and promises, it'll be alright. i have much to give.

draco's predilection for alchemy and potioneering dawns as surely and naturally as the hat's conviction of his sorting. pure is the pride that buffets him through the changing of seasons, and his mother's words have all but been cast into the recesses of his mind. voracious to learn, and with an appetite for flying to boot, he hurtles through the term as fiercely and undauntingly as the other first - year slytherins do.

as sixteen steals into seventeen, eighteen and nineteen, the condescension and vanity he was bred to wear like a second skin precipitates into something muted and indiscernible. his father makes no remark of it, perhaps for lack of comprehension, but his mother is attuned to him like the string of a bow. her embrace lingers on the platform and draco wonders if she's waiting to be proven right. pure is the intention of love, even when it cannot be reciprocated in kind.

fourth year. the cusp of transition. he feels unwieldy, like a concoction that has failed to yield the appearance prescribed in his newly - varnished textbook. fourth year is an equation with no known variables and an infinite slew of outcomes, none of which draco is certain. pure is the veritaserum that seethes in his cauldron, its inscrutability a thorn in his flesh.

BIOGRAPHY: 

lavender was born in london to a pureblood wizarding family. 

she was homeschooled by her mother until she started hogwarts, with the help of some other teachers and tutors. 

lavender came out as a trans woman when she was fifteen and had already started transitioning before she started hogwarts. 

due to being mostly homeschooled and an only child, lavender has somewhat poor social skills. her sometimes intense personality as well can make it difficult for her to make friends. sometimes people look down at her as being too silly and sentimental, and overly emotional. however when you get close to lavender you learn that she’s very sweet, creative, and a friend who will kill for you if you need her to. 

though shes majorly a very happy woman, she sometimes feels hurt when people underestimate her or treat her like a silly child just because shes a girl who likes pretty things and make up and cries a little bit too much. she knows a lot of her housemates feel that way and it makes her sad. 

her favourite class is divination.  

lavender is extremely excited about the triwizard tournament! its exciting and there’s lots of new people from all over europe to meet. so many cute boys, so many cute girls.
