Ahoy! Random long-time follower here. I’ve always wanted to go to Costa Rica and was wondering if you had any recommendations on companies, travel package deals, etc. Anything helps, thanks!

there's so many different ways to vacation in costa rica, so i'm not sure how applicable this info will be to the type of trip you want to do.. but what we do is plan and book our own custom trip.. rather than doing a travel package or going to any all-inclusive places.

like this time around we did 3 days at a lodge in monteverde, 3 days at a lodge right beside arenal volcano, then 5 days at a resort near a city called la fortuna. everything was booked separately.

we used a company called "destination costa rica" to drive us from the airport to the first resort, then again from the final resort back to the airport. i highly recommend them, we've used them all 3 times we've gone to costa rica and they've been great!

to get from monteverde to arenal we used a company called "jeep-boat-jeep". they specialize in taking people across lake arenal, so that's only going to be helpful if you're planning on travelling between those two areas.

otherwise, each lodge/resort we stayed in was able to drive us to other resorts, cities, wherever we wanted to go. the taxi's in costa rica are also great! we used them quite a few times to go into town.

as for activities you might want to do, like ziplining, tours, hiking, whatever.. every place i've ever stayed at in costa rica has given us a huge list of activities that you can book, and they'll arrange transportation for you. all you need to do is show up in the lobby at a certain time. we also would just pull up google maps and look at what there was to do nearby lol

hopefully this was the type of answer you were looking for! costa rica's a very modern and safe country, so i find it really simple to plan trips and get around on your own without doing a travel package. and i find most people that work in hospitality, and all the drivers, spoke enough english to communicate just fine.

my friend came to my house at 11 am to tell me to get out of the country, to give them 100 dollars (or my mom to give them 100 dollars) to leave the country to costa rica because of what russia's been up to and im like sweeping tryna understand where they're coming from but the entire time they're telling me staying here is literal death. like. okay. not only did you ask us to pay for YOU to leave the country when both me and my mom are dead broke, you are trying to guilt me to leave with you like i dont have shit to do. what the hell. like dude. you come into my house, you impose YOUR plan. like im bout to follow it. no? i dont even know anybody in costa rica im from fucking colombia and mexico brother. and i just find it enraging, like i wont lie to you. i hate this country but nobody got the damn money to fucking LEAVE, and im not about to scramble to do something i cannot afford to do. not to mention...? who am i to LEAVE for my own safety when if i leave, my mom cannot cuz she dont fucking got papers. she'll just get deported to colombia, im not doing that shit!!!! im not doing that shit!!! i tried not to be mean but i kind of did just let them get out my house cuz im not about to hear that bullshit. like look, people can leave the country, thats okay. its your life and its your safety, but im not going to abandon home. not doing that shit. just infuriated they thought i was being crazy for feeling that way????? dude im not fucking leaving, with what money

one of my genuinely warmest memories is like 3-4 years ago my dad and i went to a fly fishing show (we go every year now) and at the time we'd just resumed annual fishing trips, which we did when i was like 12-17 but then got abandoned, and basically every vendor/presenter etc he talked to he was like "when your 20something daughter calls you up and asks to go fishing you go running!!" and like look. i'm very stoic irish. i got this from my dad directly. we simply do not discuss feelings like that. but that very parent-y "my adult child wants to connect with me, i'm ecstatic" vibe mixed with the re-introduction of a shared hobby, it's like catnip. my dad was so excited that i wanted to go fishing with him again that he couldn't stop himself from talking about it to total strangers. that is what love is

I Would Rather Date Klaus Than Buster

Buster Moon fans, please don’t cancel me for saying this. 

If I were to choose between dating Klaus Kickenklober and dating Buster Moon, I would choose Klaus. Because Klaus wears his heart on his sleeve. I would never have to wonder what he’s thinking. Buster, on the other hand, is a liar. A very cute, fuzzy liar with charmingly expressive ears, but a liar nonetheless. 

Dating Klaus would be like:

Me: I see you’re mad. Again. 

Dating Buster would be like:
