Sunday Service

One of my favorite weekly rituals is attending the Holy Eucharist at Trinity Church on Sunday mornings. 

It is a beautiful moment to slow down, be with community, reflect on God and his goodness and get ready for the week.

At the end of service, I find a seat in the smaller chapel and practice mindfulness through meditation. 

I also got a quick mani -- having moisturized cuticles and well-manicured nails makes me feel pretty.

Final thought, last night at the Brooklyn Museum, Vagabond read aloud his short story from Octavia’s Brood and spoke about how when stories find him, he removes his ego and writes to bring them to life.

I think a story found me today: She moves through the world, with her resistance making her way towards freedom. As she clears this path - with music, art, protest - a trail of glitter is at her step. The tiny flecks of gold are breadcrumbs for her sisters to feast on and follow.
