once more unto the revising of the sufjan paper, dear friends, once more.
#I wrote it for a intro to theory class back when obama was still president#heavily revised and expanded it a year-ago for a longshot publication opportunity that it did not make#trimmed it down and added a new introduction about theology and praxis when I got asked to speak at a symposium my department was holding#and now the only way I can avoid helping with the campus lit crit journal again (which I'm spread too thin to do) and still save face#is to submit and it'd be nice for it to finally have a home and all but I just realized that the actual theory in it is pretty surface-level#I do solid with the textual analysis and really good on the theological implications and resonances but the theory is barely there#partly because my lit theory teacher two years ago didn't teach us anything at all and was mostly useless#but yeah
