BG: Will George make a good first impression on your strict parents over Christmas Dinner? What happens when prying muggle relatives are added to the mix? No magic is allowed, and a heavy snowstorm trapped everyone inside. What was supposed to last a couple of hours had stretched overnight. Will your family approve of George? Or will he be trapped with people who dislike him for the night?

A/N: This took almost a month to write. Started this with my writing motivation streak on high. Then the burnout came, I could write nor even read. Now I’m slowly trying to get back into the mood. Yea I realized that it’s not super Christmasy. But I hope that you enjoy it all the same.

‘Okay, you remember everything?’ You had just finish debriefing George on the what to expect when you arrive home later. What your parents likes and dislikes, what the home dynamic is, etcetera, brownie points to note to make sure he lands on your parent’s good side-you want your boyfriend’s first impression to be perfect!

‘Yes love, EVERYTHING. We’ve gone over this 3 times already, trust me it’s all up here’ George said, tapping a finger against his temple. ‘At this rate, I am more scared for them as it would be a total stranger knew everything about them!’ He pointed out.

‘Hey, you’re not a total stranger, they’ve met you before!’ You countered.

‘For only a couple of minutes, plus Fred was with us that time, I doubt they could have differentiated between us from that short time alone.’

Recalling back to the end of the summer holidays when your family had bumped into the Weasleys and Harry while school supplies shopping at Diagon Alley. You were just leaving of Flourish and Blotts while they were headed in. You had dropped your brand-new books and the twins had helped you pick them up. You had exchanged a quick thank you before hurried leaving to catch the bus back to muggle London.

Your parents had gratefully allowed you to spend the holidays at The Burrow, but only after they had met the boyfriend who you could never stop talking about. Majority of your letters back home consisted of gushing about how wonderful and sweet George is, so naturally your parents were curious and intrigued to finally meet this handsome fellow.

They had arranged for a Christmas Eve Dinner at home before you depart for The Burrow later in the evening.

‘You know, you still haven’t told me how you got your parents to let you spend the Christmas holiday with us.’ Quipped George. ‘I thought your dad was pretty strict.’ The Hogwarts Express had started slowing down, nearing its destination of Platform 9 ¾.

‘Yea but I guess it the real gamechanger was Mr.Weasley. The last I heard was that they started hanging out during breaks in the Ministry. It started out as a reconnaissance of some sort-the basic background check if the boy dating my daughter is good enough. Which then blossomed into friendship.’ You lean back against the train compartment window, giving him more space to reach up to the luggage rack overhead.

‘Really?’

‘Really.’

‘George! Y/n! Over here!’ Ginny yelled. She was standing near the trolleys, surrounded with a group of redheads.

Once you reached her, she wrapped you in a tight embrace. ‘I’m going to miss you.’

You chuckled, patting the girl’s shoulder. ‘Gin, I’m only be gone for a couple hours, we’ll be back by midnight.’

‘Yea, but til then I’ll be stuck with these dofusses.’ She winced, nodding towards the direction of her brothers.

‘Hey!’ exclaimed Ron.

Ignoring him, Ginny continued. ‘You know how time drags with these idiots. Why couldn’t I just come with?’

‘No you aren’t young lady.’ Stated Mrs.Weasley, making her way pass her children. ‘This is a very important occasion, meeting the parents. George has to make a good impression to y/n parents.’  She turned to the younger twin, hands on her waist. ‘So. NO funny business okay? I expect you to be on your best behaviour.’ She warned.

George raised 3 fingers up. ‘Yes ma’am. I promise.’

Mrs Weasley knew that despite George’s playful response, would keep this promise. Afterall she knew her children at heart. Recognises George’s coping tactics for nerves is through humour.

‘Alright then. I’ll see you later.’ Hugging you then her son. ‘Oh before I forget, we’ll take your luggage back with us so that it’ll be easier for you to get home. Fred! Percy! Come help me with these!’

‘Thank you Mrs.Weasley for-‘

‘Molly dear, call me Molly. I’ve known you for years now, you’re basically part of the family.’

You can feel your face warm up. ‘Thanks…Mrs…. I mean Molly for everything.’

‘No worries dear. Just be careful, I heard that it’ll snow more later.’

‘We will Mum.’ Replied George, placing a kiss on her check. ‘Don’t worry.’

You held your hand out to George. ‘Ready for your first ever ride on a muggle double decker bus?’

‘Oh yes.’ He nodded, interlocking his hands with yours.

‘Mum! I’m home!’ You shake off the snow that had stuck onto your boots before entering.

‘In here Dumpling!’ said a distant voice.

‘Dumpling huh?’ George teased; a smirk plastered on his face.

You were glad to see him calm down. ‘yea yea.’

‘Care to tell me why?’

‘Nope. Now get your butt in here.’

The house though small is full of life. Walls are lined with picture frames of the family together and along the hallway are frames of each member throughout the years.

You follow the fragrant smell of citrus in the air coming from the kitchen.

You head towards the opened refrigerator. ‘Merry Christmas Eve Mum!’ You greeted but were surprised to see someone else. ‘Dad! What are you doing here?’

‘What do you mean? It’s MY house!’ He resorted, taken aback.

‘You know what I mean.’

‘They let us off early in the Ministry.’

‘He means he left early’ Chimed your mother.

‘Perks of being the head of the department.’ He says nonchalantly, releasing you from a airtight embrace.

Your eyes light up. ‘You got the promotion?’ You asked, your father standing proud with a dazzling smile. ‘Congratulations Dad!’

‘Now now, this evening is not about me.’ His eyes dart to the tall boy behind you. The boy whose face showed apparent awkwardness during the mini intimate family catch up. ‘I don’t believe we’ve formally met. y/f/n yf/l/n.’ Extending his hand.

‘george..’ George cleared his throat. ‘George Weasley ,Sir. Pleasure to meet you Sir.’  George wondered if his hand had sweat more, feeling that your father was gripping his tight. Before his mind were to go down that rabbithole, he turned to your mother. ‘M’am..’

‘No please, call me y/m/n.’ Your mother insisted. ‘It’s nice to finally meet you George, we’ve heard so much about you.’ She leaned in close, whispering. ‘Between you and me, most of our dumpling’s letters here are about you!’ She looks over her shoulder to make sure, they aren’t overheard. Thankful you are preoccupied with dad. ‘It’s great to finally have a face to the name!’ Taking a more solemn tone she continued. ‘Listen you take good care of her okay, she doesn’t let anyone in her emotions easily, so you must be special.’

Just as fast as it came, she was back to normal. George would have thought that he imagined that whole exchange if it weren’t from the gleam in your mother’s eyes.

‘Right then.’ She clapped her hands together. ‘y/f/n, my love. Why don’t you give George here a tour of the house. Then help y/n and I when you’re done.’

‘On it my love.’ Your father replied, pecking your mother’s cheek. ‘George! I’m told you love inventing, so why don’t we start on with my study, I bet there’s a lot of things you’d find interesting.’ Said your father, leading George up the kitchen and up the stairs.

Once they rounded out the corner, your mother was instantly at your side, bumping your hips. ‘He seems like a nice boy. Quieter than I expected.’

‘Yea, He’ll get into the zone later.’ You noted. ‘Give him time and when he’s comfortable, he’ll be more like himself. He’ll really nervous, that’s all.’

‘I know.’

That made curious. ‘You know?’

‘Oh yess.’ Your mother sighed. ‘Your father had that exact same face when he first went to meet Grannie and Grandpops.’

‘Really?’ How had she never shared this story before?

‘umm hmm’ She reminisced. ‘It’s good that his reaction is like that. It shows that one’s scared and anxious, wanting to impress and give a good first impression.’

When she saw how lost you look, she held your chin up, elaborating. ‘It means that he cares. That it’s a big important deal, meeting the parents.’

It’s been a hour already since your father had dragged George off, to what you believe as a house tour disguised as a boyfriend interrogation. Truth be told you were scared out of your mind, you never had brought home a boy before so you didn’t know what to expect, this is unknown territory.

The growing sounds of footsteps and…laughter? Surely that was a good sign.

‘Woah that is a lot of food. Exactly how many people did you invite over for Christmas dinner?’ George had come up behind you, with a hand on your lower back- touchy as if warming up and testing the waters on how much physical touch he could get away with, with your parents in the room.

‘A lot.’ You replied, angling up to poke his cheek. ‘You’re not the only one with a big family, Weasley’

‘I thought you were only 4 of you?’

‘well, my mom’s side of the family is coming.’ You explained, counting them on your fingers. ‘So that’s includes my grandparents, aunts and uncles and their family-my cousins.’

‘why only your mom’s side?’ George was genuinely confused, isn’t Christmas all about getting together with family?

You chuckled. ‘oh it’s a funny story actually…’

‘More like an almost disastrous story.’ Cut in your father. ‘See my brother is a lightweight but every Christmas he tries to outdrink himself. And one Christmas, things…..got out of hand.’

When your father didn’t explain more, your mother further clarified, taking pity on George’s ever more puzzled look. ‘Long story short, he end up doing magic infront of my family specifically changed into his Animagus form it would be easy to say he just disappeared behind the couch if his animal form was small but his was a tiger- so harder to cover up.’

‘Dad ultimately had to obliviate 7 people’s memories of the past hour. From then on, for long holidays we separate the family into magic vs muggles.’

‘SO remember NO magic!’ Announced your dad. ‘Tonight, we act as Muggles, no magic at all cost. We won’t wanna risk Ministry intervention.’

The early Christmas dinner had gone in a blur, the food was quickly devoured by the table of 15. Yes that’s right, 15. Normally the dinner table could expand to accommodate 6 people, but thanks to transfiguration, your father had lengthen it to fit the then arriving guest.

In addition to enjoying the food, your relatives had seized the time to pry into your love life in between bites. The previous years’ answer of “I don’t have a boyfriend” followed by their unwanted input about what you’re doing wrong, was obviously not applicable.

So you ended up being interrogated by your aunt on your right, while George, who was sitting on your left was being questioned by your grandfather.

‘Gee is that the time! We better get going, maw come on dear we don’t want to be caught out of the road by the snowstorm.’ Your grandfather said, helping your grandmother up from her seat. ‘Get the car ready, Finn.’

At that, everyone began to get pack up. Usually you would all stay up for more talks, but under the threat of a looming snowstorm, it was better to be safe than sorry.

‘Alright dumpling, got everything?’ Your mother wondered, straightening up your coat.

‘Yup’ You replied, all snuggled up. You didn’t bother telling her that the coat wasn’t necessary as you would be apparating back to the Burrow- you knew how much she hated the tension apparition causes to one’s temples.

‘George..’ She said, now moving towards the quiet young man who had once again caught himself a bit out of place in such an intimate family moment. ‘It was really nice to meet you; I do hope that we would get to see you most often now that y/n has formally introduce us.’ She pulled him into a motherly hug. ‘You take care of my dumpling, or else… you’d find out what muggle parents do to those who hurt their children, and I warn you, you magic folks don’t know what’s coming.’

The final warning came and went, and George managed to utter. ‘I promise.’ Before your father came into view, looking more unreadable and stricter than their introductions earlier in the day.

George was terrified, he had thought that things had gone well, surely they had bonded over the guide house tour. Might had he said something wrong during dinner, Grandpa y/l/n sure did ask a lot of questions. George mentally recalled the past couple of hours, where could this all gone sideways.

To his surprise he was greeted with an outstretched hand. ‘You’re a good lad, George.’ Remarked your father, ‘Oh and you can call me y/f/n.’

Both your and George’s eyes go wide.

‘Thank you, sir! I mean…’ George was still nervous, a part of him thinking that this was a secret test. ‘y/f/n, sir. Thank you’ Tried George, the tips of his ears red.

Your father chuckled at the hesitant boy, ‘In time you will get the hang of that’ He turned to you. ‘That is.. if y/n is willing to for us to join you two in the future. The dinner might have frightened you off, sorry for that.’ Your father wrapped an arm around your mother, ‘Perhaps the next time could be with MY side of the family…’

At that moment the doorbell rang.

‘Now who could that be?’ Voiced your mother. ‘Mum, Dad!’

‘Bad News dearie, Roads and Highways are closed for the night-Too much snow.’ Explained your grandfather, barging into the warm house. ‘We’ll have to stay the night.’

‘Uh! George my boy, you are still here! Great! Pa look who it is!’ Cheered your grandfather, pinching his arm (His cheeks were too high up to reach).  Leaving George’s right sleeve with specks of melting snow. ‘Though I am afraid we would get to chatting in the morning, sleep is calling me.’

But before George would reply that he wouldn’t be here in the morning, your father interjected. ‘Yes yes of course, the guestroom is ready as always. Have a good night’s rest nannie.’ Looking past her to the doorway he shouted. ‘Finn you can take the couch, we’ll give you some blankets in a sec.’

He gestured for you both to follow him into the dinning room. You quickly followed suit, panicking as to how in the world could you apparate to the burrow while presenting a valid reason to your grandparents in 2 young person’s disappearance overnight when the is a heavy snowstorm raging on.

‘I wouldn’t suggest apparating tonight’ He huffed. ‘Unless of course if you don’t mind popping back in again tomorrow morning.’

You shook your head. You were not an earlier riser, besides spending the night in the burrow when had to be back home first thing would be wise, you would be just exhausting yourself.

‘Good. I’ll notify Arthur of our situation. Now unto the other thing….’ He raised a brow at George. ‘Since that the spare room and the couch are taken, it would be rude to ask a guest to rest in a more comfortable place..’

You internally groaned, you kinda had an idea where this conversation was headed to but gosh was it in the parents handbook to deliver to so awkwardly?

‘…you are bot old enough and trust both of you. So, George if you don’t mind, you would be spending the night in y/n’s room.’

You dared risked a quick glance at your boyfriend and you could tell that he was trying not to smirk.

George in fact was trying his best not to smile, biting the insides of his cheek to stop himself.

‘So no funny business.’

‘Yes Sir.’ George didn’t dare call him, y/f/n. Not at this moment, even if he was granted the permission.

‘So….This is me.’ Presenting your room. ‘It’s not much, but-‘

‘It’s beautiful.’ George cut you off. There wasn’t much going on, seeing that you spend majority of the year in Hogwarts and only a month or two at home. A single bed next to the window overlooking the road, a small desk, a wardrobe with a mirrored door and 2 bookshelves. Plain white walls decorated with a small makeshift photo wall of your most cherished memories.

Spotting the photos next to your bookshelf, he chortled.  ‘It’s really sweet of you, I feel honoured.’ He turned to you. ‘But this one? Seriously??!!?’ Pointing at the photograph.

It was of the yule ball. The relationship wasn’t official yet, it was still teetering on the side of best friends but with something more or so Fred calls ‘Y/n and George’s Era of Mutual Pining’.

The shot was of you in your gown, not so elegantly piggybacking on George, who was mid fall. Despite it all, you were both laughing your heads off. Ginny had taken that picture with your muggle camera. Something about it being developed as a standstill compared to the moving wizard photos adds charm to it, further highlighting such a moment.

‘I for one love it.’ You declared, leaning your head on his shoulder.

‘We do look nice together.’ He teased. ‘But gosh that is a bit unflattering, don’t you think? It looks like we’re drunk!’

‘Drunk on love you mean.’ Nudging his side. ‘Though we haven’t admitted it then.’

George squinted closer, ‘Wait a minute! It’s not moving!’

‘Yup, don’t want any muggle walking in a moving photo. But more importantly, it’s forever captures the moment of ‘I am in love with my best friend, a person who would never let me fall.’

‘Expect to fall in love, with your truly.’

‘Exactly.’ In moments like these, where no one else in the room, does George lets his sappy cheesy side on full blast and you love it. It’s as if a top-secret surprise that is for your eyes only.

‘Now come to bed with me.’ You reach for his hand, dragging him to your tiny bed. ‘I’m tired’

‘Love as much as I want to, I don’t think we’d fit.’ Eyeing the bed. ‘One of us will fall off- most probably me.’

Taking one of you pillows he said ‘ I’ll just lay down here.’

‘Nuh uh, not in my house. You are my boyfriend and my guest! No way am I letting you sleep on the floor!’ You argued. ‘Come cuddle with me, pleaseeeeeeee’ Giving him your best pout. ‘We have had any alone time, the whole day! Pleaseeeee babe! ’

George shook his head, knowing that the was no way that he could ever say ‘NO’ to you. He did miss his girl and after an exhaustive day practically being interrogated by multiple family member, he was grateful to finally spend time with you. ‘Alright.’ Giving into your request. ‘Scoot over and let me engulf you into a world of softness.’

Your head was resting on George’s chest, bopping along with his each intake of breath. The snow outside is still pouring but the all the noise is silenced as you focus in his heartbeat.  Tilting up slightly you pipped. ‘You comfortable Georgie?’

George wrapped his arms around you tighter. ‘I’m good anywhere with you.’ He placed a final kiss on your forehead before exhaustion take you both away to dreamland.

Bonus:

The sun had come up, casting a warm glow onto the white blanked pavement.  

Still drained from the day before, neither of you had woken up to your bedroom door opening.

‘Merry Christmas Y/n dearie! Nannie has bought you your favourite hot choco—’  Your grandmother stopped in her tracks upon seeing 2 angels tangled together with smiles etched on their sleeping faces. Reminding her of own younger days.

She leaves the mug on your desk, quietly shut the door. Once out on the hallway, she quickly makes her way to her husband, eager to tell him what he just saw and excited to come up with more questions they could interrogate George with-only the best for their granddaughter!

i saw dear evan hansen livee (review)

i meant to post this sooner but school was busy so here i am

this was the national tour in sac

i went w/ my sisters and my friend plus her siblings

i had upper balcony seats, i wish i got to see it closer, but i’m grateful they even came to my city uwu

let’s get to it~

STAGE & INSTRUMENTAL

*the stage was same as the og

* the projection of the social media posts were a good touch for the bg

* the lights were good too, the bg would change color (orange in sincerely me, pink in only us)

* the sound effects sounded real

* the lights were glowing the same as the the beat in good for you

* the way all of them kept walking around looking at “social media posts” on the projection bgs in some songs

* showing evan’s speech on the bg and the videos for the connor project too

* we can see the musicians bc they had a balcony where you can see a few of them

* the sound and instrumental were sounded real (guitar and piano)

* props to the musicians

ACTING:

* sam primack played evan

* he was super good !

* he portrayed evan well, the anxiety and all

* he gave a young fresh vibe of evan

* the panic in his voice, the sobbing and sniffing were so well acted

* evan looking lost in waving through a window

* the “WOOOOOOAAAHHHH” at the end of waving through a window

* them high notes in for forever and words fail tho 👌🏼

* “i’M NOT hYpERVenTILaNG!!” and then “Dear Connor Murphy..”

* when he dropped the note cards in you will be found

* he kept apologizing and picked them up w/ a small voice

* he sat on the ground for a while and starts to have a breakdown

* he tugs his knees and sobs there 😢

* when he walked up and KNEELED DOWN in only us, zoe was sitting on the bed, it was at evan’s verse, he went up to her and kneeled w/ both knees while singing + staring into her eyes singing “so it can be us~ it can be us and oooonly us~ and what came before won’t count anymore or matter we can try that~”

* that was unexpected by me since the only version i saw was the og broadway performance and it didn’t have that which rlly knocked my socks off

* the sloppy kissing tho 😔👌🏼✨

* he’s so LoUD in act 2, like damn he went all out

* his voice was squeaky/cracked from broken sobs at some points

* the way he looked so StResSed & shouting when talking to jared and alana before good for you

* his begging when connor took his letter and when alana posted the “suicide note” so painful but good

* also the way evan always wiped his hands on his pants when zoe would stick her hand out

* how panicky he was when he freaked out that zoe was gonna “break up” w/ him

* their chemistry honestly 😭💙

* he also said a lot “what do you means” throughout the show i noticed

* his lines in good for you w/ heidi, jared, and alana singing in bg were so overwhelming but in a good way

* just an overall fresh, awkward, anxious vibe to him 😔💙

* noah kieserman played connor

* his voice reminded me of the og broadway

* the face connor gave at cynthia when larry and zoe said he was high

* the way he play punches evan in sincerely me

* the choreo in sincerely me is so iconic

* he was snapping when he sang that which i thought was new lol

* that dance they did for “our friendship goes beyond..” between connor and evan

* he stands up and reaches his hand before leaving the stage

* one of my fave lines in deh honestly

* “did you fall? or did you let go?” will always hit

* when evan told the truth and the murphys left the living room, they showed connor too and he also left walking away w/ disappointment/pity

* zoe was played by stephanie la rochelle

* she was good and sounded nearly the same as the og broadway/laura

* the way how zoe was nice in the beginning to evan, distant to him at first in her house about connor, then slowly opens up to him and accepts him for who he is is just 🤧

* in for forever, “there’s nothing that we can’t discuss, like girls we wish would notice us but never do” evan looks at zoe and dramatically clears his throat and continues singing

* in if i could tell her, when evan said “he thought you looked rlly pretty ER-you looked pretty COOL when you had indigo streaks in your hair” she says “he did!” and evan says really fast “he dID AHAHAHAHAH”

* it made the theatre laugh and same

When the devils arm seems strong (Brother keep on keeping on)

Three months. He’d had his robin for three months and he’d already lost him. Scarecrow was currently on his way back to Arkham, but not before testing his newest vein of fear gas on a few unsuspecting neighborhoods.

Not for the first time in the last few months Dick wonders how Bruce had handled it all. Because at the moment everything felt like too much, just problem after problem piling up. Dick ticked off his to-do list in his head. Find his Robin who seemed to have run off on his own, make sure that Gordon has enough antidote to deal with the affected citizens, prepare for this weekend's JLA meeting.

Launching himself off the roof Dick decides to call in the big guns.

“Hey O, it's your favorite Bat. Can you do me a favor?”

“Cass is my favorite Bat, but go on.” Her snarky answer comes through the comms.

“Ouch.” Dick drops down on the street next to the Batmobile. “Well, then as a favor to the Bat who shares a bed with you, do you mind sending BG out to help with damage control from Scarecrows latest. I have some Robin hunting I need to do. I get distracted by one Rogue and he thinks that’s a free pass to go off by himself. Kids gonna turn my beautiful hair gray.”

“This is why you should have behaved better as a kid. Karmas paying you back for all the grief you gave B when you wore the pixie boots. I can’t wait until this kid hits puberty.”

“Don’t even put that thought out into the world, O.” Dick groans as he heads towards the dock where he knows Damian’s been itching to go and bust Penguins latest operation.

“Hey O. Robin turned his comms off or maybe he’s just straight up ignoring me. Can you send me the coordinates from his mask?”

“Done.” A message pops up on the car computer. “Your headed in the wrong direction by the way.”

“No, I’m not. Penguins guys are meeting at the docks tonight. Damian made sure I knew how much of an idiot I was if I ignored it. If he went off by himself, he headed there.”

“Okay Boy Wonder, but then he’s there without his mask because if you’d actually look at what I sent you you’d see that Robins coordinates put him in Grant Park.”

Dick presses hard on the brakes and spins the car around. “Why would he be there?”

“He’s your sidekick. I don’t know why he does anything. He’s about as open a book as his dad was. Last time I came over the kid told me he was practicing how to move his organs.”

“He was probably just messing with you.”

“He’s weird.”

Dick chews on the inside of his lip, “Yeah... well if you get any intel on something happening in Grant Park send it my way, otherwise, I’ll let you get back to Oracleing and I’ll get back to Batmaning.”

In the short drive it took to arrive at Grant Park Dick had a whole speech rehearsed about how Robin has to listen to Batman and always keep his comms on and if Dick asked where he was, he needed to answer.

Pulling over close to where Babs had said Damian was, Dick steeled himself for the fight that was going to go down when he grounded Robin for the rest of the night.

Looking around, Dick saw that the park was empty. Which made since because it was two in the morning. Everyone who wasn’t crazy or a criminal was at home in bed. But that still left Dick one Robin short. Where was the little angry bird hiding and why had he come here of all places?

“Robin?” Dick started towards the picnic area that was to his left. Damian had mentioned its great vantage points on their last visit so maybe he had headed there for some reason. “I don’t really want to have to bench you next we-” Dick cut himself off when his foot came down on something other than grass.

Looking down he saw a familiar forest green and winced. Alfred wasn’t going to appreciate another damaged mask.

“Robin,” Dick picks up the mask as he calls out, “you better have a good explanation.”

Dick makes it a few more step before he hears it. There is a muffled whimper and a plea to stop. It takes less than a second for Dick heart to shatter as he puts the pieces together. During the fight with Scarecrow Damian must have somehow gotten injected with the toxin.

Dick quickens his pace towards the noise and ducks to peer under the concrete picnic table near the edge of the clearing.

“Hey Kiddo,” Dicks heart breaks again the moment Damian turns his fear blown eyes his way. He’s seen Damian scared before, no matter how hard he tries to hide it. But there’s a difference between that and the ten-year-old in front of him. All Dick saw was raw unfiltered terror.

“Don’t tell Mother.”

“I won’t” Dick knows from experience that Damian is in his own world right now and won’t hear or remember any of what Dick says or does but that doesn’t stop him. If anything, it’s more for himself than Damian, something to stop the guilt from eating at him as he tries to corral Damian to him and get him to the Batmobile.

“Hey Buddy.” Dick sheds all aspects of Batman besides the cowl. He’s in big brother mode, soft voice and calming movements, “I see you took your mask off. Looks like you scratched yourself a bit in the process. We’ll just have to add that to the list of things for Al to take care of, huh? I’m gonna join you really quick and then we’ll get you to the car, what do you say? We’ll head back to the bunker and give you something to make you feel better and then when you wake up well have a pajama day and I’ll make you watch the Goonies with me.” Dick keeps up a constant stream of words, making sure to explain everything before he makes his move and hoists Damian up into his arms. Surprisingly there is little to no fight as they head back to the car. Damian just shrinks further into himself, breaths coming fast and his small body trembling.

“I’ll do better.”

“Oh, Lil’ D you are the best there is. No need to do any better.” Dick runs his hand through his soft kid hair, “Well, you could work on your attitude towards Lucky Charms but we can discuss that later. Right now, we’ll focus on getting you buckled in-”

“No no no” Damian starts to struggle against an invisible enemy.

Dicks pretty sure the protest is against the hallucination but doesn’t want to chance it and cause more distress. “Okay I think I can manage the few miles it takes to get back to the bunker with you doing the koala thing. No problemo.” Dick press his comms on, “Hey A. Me and Damian have had an interesting evening. I was wondering if you could have some of that new antidote ready for us when we get back in a few minutes. Yep. That would be perfect. Thanks.” Dick jostles Damian on his lap a bit, like one would with a fussy baby. “You hear that Dames? A’s got you covered. You’ll feel better in just a little bit.”

“Please.” Damian whimpers against the batman symbol on his chest.

“I know. It sucks doesn’t it?” Dick pulls into the tunnel that will lead them to the bunker. “Hey we’re almost there, Bud. You know what? I wish I could get you cuddle like this when you weren’t all hoped up on Scarecrows toxin. Not that I’m happy you have to go through this.”

Dick starts rubbing circles on Damian’s back as he rushes on, “I’m just saying you make a good teddy bear. Honestly you’re surprising me a bit here. When I get hit with this stuff, I’m a bitc-” Dick censors himself, “Brat. I’m a ol’ big brat about it. Gave B a nice shiner back in the day when I was fourteen or something. You’re more like Jay was though. B used to like to get into the whole psychology of it. He loved going on and on about fight or flight. But that’s B for you, had to know the reason behind everything, even reactions to crazy people’s toxins. You know, you're really good at the flight thing. Sorry it took me a while to find you Buddy. But you do like to remind me about the whole assassin ninja thing so it makes sense. Your very small and that makes it easy to hide. I’d probably have stuck out like a sore thumb.”

“Hey, look Bud, we made it!” Dick’s out of the car in seconds rushing to were Alfred was prepped and ready for Damian, “Alfie’s here now Kiddo. So I’m gonna put you- nope- okay I’ll just sit on the cot and Al can give you this shot while you sit on my lap. Shhh. I know. It’s gonna be okay now kiddo I got you.” Dick glances up briefly to meet Alfred’s pained gaze. With a soft smile he mouths the words ‘Thank you’ before turning back to the little boy in his lap continuing his constant conversation without missing a beat, “And I’ll let you in on a little secret I know where Alfred keeps the frozen cookie dough. So, when you feel better, we can eat ourselves sick.”

Sylvari who awaken during the Dawn cycle are said to be natural silver-tongues, masters in the world of diplomacy and preparation via their honey-words and keen minds.

When he came out of his pod, Sprout gave that idea a run for its money.

At first, the tenders who greeted him weren't even sure if he could talk, and he seemed more keen on hiding from anything and everything than striking up conversation. It took a lot of coaxing and crooning to get him to settle down, finally, and he was set up with a small house, still not having said a word.

He moved through his first few months being a social butterfly, mostly through smiles, laughs, and gesturing. Eventually he would say a word here or there, sporadically, but those he spent time with noticed those words getting more and more frustrated. More articulated thoughts centered around exploring, restlessness, a desire to go.

Some told him it was too early for him to leave the Grove, he still had much to learn before going out among others less understanding than his fellows, but others encouraged the growing need in him. Fear and anxiety was replaced by zeal, and eventually, without giving himself much time to think about it, he decided to leave the Grove. Using what little money he'd accrued to take an asura gate to Lion's Arch, he stumbled into Coriolis Plaza in the dead of night.

Sprout stumbled a little stepping through the Gate, and nearly reeled backwards once he got through. A jolt of fear, suddenly being somewhere completely foreign. But this was quickly overrode by exhilaration.

He stepped in place a few times, feeling some kind of smooth cold stone under his feet. This whole place was stone. White stone, reflecting moonlight. It was quiet, the dead of night, and distantly he heard what sounded like enormous, soothing breathing. In front of him a circular plot of grass, with huge spindly trees he'd never seen before. Palms.

The biggest smile he'd ever had.

The rush of this place, this completely new place, was heady; the idea that even more new places lay behind each portal was entirely too much. With a little whoop he ran through another gate, paying little mind to the "hey!"s of the half-seen gate guards. They'd be alright, letting one little sylvari slip through.

He stumbled through this gate too, tripping on the grated flooring on the other side, his footsteps hollow metallic thuds on the black steel of the walkway. A big hand caught his shoulder, steadying him with a growly "whoa there." This hand was huge, easily the size of his torso, furred, clawed. The owner of the hand even more so, Sprout having to step back to get a good look at them.

"You're a charr?"

"Yeah, you a runt?"

"Yeah!"

The Black Citadel is home to the charr: large, fuzzy, and tough. The Citadel itself is made of steel and smoke, churning out all the necessary parts of war, from farmers to siege towers. Overall, it looked like the polar opposite of the grove. But, as Sprout found, it was similar, too.

The main part of the Grove, to Sprout, the part that made him love the Grove even as he left it, was the permeating sense of support. And that was here, at the Citadel, too. Just different. Here, a warband supported each other to the fullest, so that each could fulfill their duty to the fullest. Here, everyone pushed each other to be the best they could be. Similar to the focus on growth and fulfillment of purpose in the Grove. Just different.

Sprout latched on to the first friendly face he saw, which ended up belonging to a young Iron Legion medic named Alex Mendmuzzle. Having been invited to the table with the Muzzle warband (interested in the hearing the stories of this small, weird plant thing), Sprout never really saw a reason to leave. He tagged along, treated as a younger sibling by some and a nuisance by others, but it never really seemed to bother him. It was fascinating, he loved every second of it.

He asked endless questions about their work: mostly mechanical and engineering things he had no hope of understanding even with the most patient teachers, but also things about daily living, working, fighting.

He loved the fighting. Particularly he loved the fighting of Nona Dustmuzzle.

Nona, her bandmates often joked, should have been Blood legion. Nona, in response, is quick to point out no Blood could ever think far enough ahead to outfight her. She was vicious, aggressive to the extreme, moved too fast and hit too hard for anyone to have a moment's breath against her. All of that Iron Legion brain went right into perfecting her technique.

And Sprout wanted to be just like that. So he took to following her around the most, which at first put her off, but when she realized he couldn't be chased away so easily found it a little charming. She was a tough teacher, but a good one.

A four-foot sylvari learning to fight like a charr seemed unnatural, and it probably is, but Sprout took to it like he was meant for it. He learned to be ferocious, he learned to dominate a space, he learned how to fight like it was a game of vicious chess. He grew as a fighter and as a person, coming farther and farther from the scared, quiet sylvari who had emerged however long ago.

He even took on a new name, Dawnsprout, after talking with Mendmuzzle about how it was unfair for charr to have more name-parts than he did.

He found a teacher in Nona and a friend in Alex Mendmuzzle, who he spent most of his evenings with. Talking, listening, laughing. Sprout found him to be someone he could relax around, which was nice after a day of bruises from Nona and teasing from the rest of the 'band.

The teasing, Sprout could tell Alex never liked it. He didn't see the harm in it, but Alex always said they took it too far and was quick to swat the others off in his defense. It scared Sprout, just a little, to see Alex so upset by it.

But, all the same, he spent quite a while with the Muzzle Warband. It was good, but came to an abrupt end.

"Does it hurt?"

Dawnsprout huddled further in on himself, covering the left side of his face. He was scared, confused, and though they'd put the fire out hours ago his treebark skin still felt like it was burning. Waves that wrung whimpers out of him.

He didn't like how it felt to ignore Mendmuzzle, but it hurt to move his mouth and he didn't want to hear his voice break when another wave hit.

"S'pose it does." Mendmuzzle's voice was a deep but quiet rumble normally, but this was even quieter. Disappointed. Sad.

Dawnsprout was worried he was disappointed in him.

The silence afterwards made him even more worried.

The last bits of red sunset had gone out sky, and in this dirty corner of Lion's Arch the only noise was the breathing of waves down the harbor wall, beneath their feet. Had Sprout not been so preoccupied, he might've been more interested, having heard waves only once before.

But as it was he was getting increasingly panicked. The silence was getting longer, longer, longer and he was focusing harder and harder on the disappointed tone in Muzzle's voice. He didn't know what had happened, in fire and the rush of arguments after. All he knew was that he had gotten hurt, and then Muzzle had taken him here.

Sprout wanted to go back to the Citadel. Maybe if he just pretended it didn't hurt, that it was just a little scuff in the end, things could go back to normal. He didn't know why him being hurt meant they needed to sit in silence on a Lion's Arch dock, but he felt deeply that this was bad and his fault.

"Mendm-"

"That's not my name anymore."

That didn't do anything to help. His mouth hurt now and he felt terrible and didn't know what was going on and he didn't know what Muzzle meant by that because why wasn't that his name anymore how could that be and why did he feel so, so at fault for this. So he started crying.

He tried to hide the little noises, the shaking shoulders. The way it screwed up his face and trembled in his body made things hurt, a cracking burning feeling, and it only made things worse. On his best days, he wasn't very good at hiding anything about himself, and this was not one of his best days.

He tried, tried so hard, to sort out what had happened.

He remembered being asked to come look at something, then pain and fire and surprised yelling from somewhere else. He remembered a roar he thought sounded kind of like Alex but also very much not, yelling and something about a joke, a joke, it was a joke. He remembered Alex putting out the fire and trying his best to patch the damage, but none of his tools worked on flesh that wasn't flesh.

He remembered more arguing, arguing that made him scared just to think about, before Alex had picked him up and taken him through the gate (he'd almost forgotten about that gate) and back to Lion's Arch. They'd seen another medic there, a mender who knew how to help sylvari. They did their best with the burn, but admitted it wasn't likely to be very pretty. Now they were here.

And he was crying.

He was picked up, held, in silence but in warmth. And he was crying.

NEW SERVER, Explanations, Some(brero) Update

Downtime Again?? This will be a bit technical, if you're not too bothered about what happened, please skip to the next header. On Friday 5th May at approximately 7am server time, Lioden started lagging very heavily. We initially thought it was just a small blip and that it would all sort itself out. Upon further investigation we discovered that our database had corrupted pretty badly, which we believe was caused by the disruption earlier in the week with the physical data centre migration. The admin team very quickly went into alert mode; we discussed a plan of action. We weighed up whether it would be worth a 24 hour downtime for DNS propagation or whether it would be quicker to wait for our host to diagnose and repair whatever was going on. We also had the option of a new database server. The database server was sold to us under the promise that it would take 8 hours - we asked to be fast-tracked as we wanted to get the game back up ASAP. We were then told 4 hours (this was after 4 hours of downtime already, after first thinking it was a temporary blip and then having to diagnose the problem ourselves). 20 hours later, we finally get the message that the server is up and running. Throughout this time we took turns in sleeping and staying up to see if the server would come up, so the communication between admins was unfortunately very disjointed for a time. Had we known sooner that our total downtime would be upwards of 25 hours, we would have switched hosts immediately. We are extremely unhappy with the customer service we received while trying to get our server fixed/moved. Since we are on a new server, expect some lag for first 24-36 hours of your gameplay as your data is being cached. What will happen next? We will be moving host. We do not want to give this company any more money. We are temporarily staying put until we can set up a server with another company. We will then be requesting a refund for all of our pre-paid services (we like to pay a year in advance). We will schedule game maintenance for later this month, on a week day, early in the morning (server time) so that we can switch hosts. In 5 years of Lioden's life (and in 15 years of having our websites hosted) we have never experienced something like this that was also handled so poorly by the hosting company, and we aim to never experience this again.

Have you lost our messages again? >_> Thankfully we were able to retrieve some messages. We only have from Tuesday when we came back up, up to a certain time on Thursday evening, but we have been able to restore at least a partial backup this time. If you purchased GB and your new GB are no longer on your account, please send a PM to Abbey #1 with your PayPal transaction ID and we will refund it for you. BACKUP RESTORATION TIMES: Rough Estimate on backup times, as depending on specific Lioden feature, they are stored at different hours: 4 and a half hours before rollover for main backups, 3 hours 50 minutes before rollover for lions, 4 hours 15 minutes for Hoard. This means userlogs, inboxes, lions and other things can be restored from different times and there might be some discrepancies. If you notice "ghost notifications" just delete them please, we tried to restore inboxes but the data was still corrupted a bit. What about May Event and our lost progress? What about the storyline? If you guys will struggle with the event tiers due to downtime we'll see about tweaking them as the month goes! May Storyline will help you gather some Tokens and Manticora Beetles! Unfortunately we were unable to code or work on it ... again. So we might launch it within a day or two and include it in May news post along with a notification that it was launched.

Friday Update

Unfortunately thanks to the downtime our Friday update was cut short. We were able to implement a couple of nice moderating tools, including a tool to make moderator posts stand out more when they want to get your attention ;)

We will be working very hard to bring you a much bigger coding update next week. Bug Fixes * Roasted Lamb notice showing on all lions when applied to king has been fixed - it will now only show on your king. * When cubs are born, the cub number given by the ultrasound bat will be removed - you will need to visit the bat for each new pregnancy to find out the accurate number of cubs. * Patrolling males are no longer chaseable, killable or reserve-able. * We have attempted a fix of aging lionesses dropping to negative fertility - please let us know if you still experience this bug. * We have also attempted a fix of lionesses not going into heat immediately for the tutorial. Terms of Service Change We have made a minor change to the Terms of Service based on a confusing situation that has arisen lately. In order to address this properly, here is the new rule regarding referrals which will apply from now. "While the referral rewards and monthly referral contests exist, referring a friend to the game should not be incentivised in any way. This includes, but is not limited to, offering in-game or off-site rewards for signing up and rolling over enough to earn the referral points. Anyone found to be incentivising referrals will have any referral points revoked."

[FAN ACCOUNT] 170304 INFINITE Fan Gathering III

******* WARNING: Super long post ahead! Like super duper extra long post this time! We apologize ahead of time!

Hi everyone! We know it’s been such a long time since we’ve posted anything besides asks, so we first want to thank you all for your patience and understanding! We’re not too sure why, but life has been kicking both of our butts simultaneously for quite some time now. Also, sorry it’s taken so long for me to do this. I’ve been hit hard with post-concert depression and I’m still quite busy. I also needed some time to collect all of the memories that have been slowly coming back to me. Good news is that our boys had a fan meet and I (dayounggie) was lucky enough to nab a ticket for the Saturday one. Unfortunately, since I work late hours, I was unable to even attempt to get tix for the Friday meeting, but luckily and LOTS of stress later, I managed to get a ticket for Saturday. I was really bummed out to miss out on L-soonie and the ladder game to pick the next member for the v app show, but the Saturday rally had its own perks!

My Saturday started at 5am when I woke up to wait in line for goods... by myself. I really wished that ohmangotango was here to wait out in the cold with me, but I guess I don’t really wish that upon anyone. Either way, I thought I went there thoroughly prepared with all the essentials but I was still freezing my butt off. Finally, it was time to get goods... but of course, life just likes to dump on me and the one item that I really wanted and braved hours of cold for sold out... literally by the person in front of me. I was going to cry. But at least I knew the boys and their love would be worth it. I was only worried about other fans in standing. Oh yes, I forgot to mention, the only ticket I could find was in Standing C. I was quite worried about having to stand and deal with the inevitable pushing in standing... esp since it’s a fanmeet and there would be lots of movement.

So after a well deserved nap at home, I went back out to the venue. When we finally got in, the screen played mvs as always but also told us to send in a selca for a surprise. It’s not really a surprise cause they did it at the last rally too. But if you send in a selca, during the last song, they choose a few to go up on the screens in the bg. Fast forward to the end, they didn’t choose my pic ㅠㅠ Even though I didn’t have the best number, I got a really good place by standing behind this guard who was letting people in. So, I was along the back rail where it’s a little raised and I had something to lean on. In general, I had a fantastic time. My section was super chill and not stuffed-packed, so there wasn’t a need to push or sway. Everyone just kinda kept to themselves and were very nice and polite and talked to each other and stuff. The girls standing in front of me staggered so I could see between their heads and had a great view 99% of the time. I know I say this often, but Inspirit is the best. They really have no bad intentions. I think if there is any pushing, it’s cause there’s no room and you can’t help but sway with the crowd, or because they’re younger fans who are still a bit rude. Either way, it was the easiest standing experience I had, which was good cause it lasted 4 HOURS!! Ugh, gotta love our boys!

Finally, the fan meet started and the boys came out after a short vid recapping what they’ve been doing since the last fan meet 2 years ago. The boys came out and performed ‘Bad’ and Dongwoo performed the dance break but he didn’t do the normal dance. Instead, he went full energetic Dongwoo and started break dancing and doing all kinds of jump things off the floor and flipping all over the place lol. Excited Dongwoo is the best... but I guess he’s always excited. Then the boys went into their first ment. They introduced themselves but I don’t remember exactly what they said. I only remember Woohyun introducing himself as everyone’s heart. They also talked about Dongwoo’s dance break and he said he wanted to do something a little more special so that’s why he was all over the place. So they made him do it again. They asked for the music but Sunggyu insisted on doing it without the music so we could ‘properly take in’ his dance lol. He did it again and added a pelvic thrust while lying down as well. While they were talking about what they’ve been up to for the past 2 years, they got to Woohyun’s album and everyone started singing ‘Nod’. Hoya suddenly stopped us and told Dongwoo to do the dance break again while we sang ‘Nod’ lol. It was quite a strange sight but Dongwoo was a good sport lol. I remember Woohyun also mentioned that our singing got better and I felt so proud in that moment lol. They continued to talk about the past and talked about Minseok as well (for those who don’t know, Kim Minseok, the actor signed with Woollim/good friend to most of the members, was the MC). They talked a little about the jungle and Minseok was a really good MC. He was really involved in the ments and interacted with the crowd a lot, which made Woohyun really jealous, but we’ll get into that later.

Next they performed ‘Between Me & You’. Idk remember when, but they said the first half would be songs from the ‘Reality’ album and the second half would be songs from ‘INFINITE ONLY’ or something related to the promotions over the last 2 years. After that, they went into another ment. I think they were asked to pick a member for something but I couldn’t catch what it was for. Hearing the answers, I think it was for who’s the most different or who tries the hardest or something, and they chose Sungjong. They said it was because he always works hard on his gestures and wants to show a good side to the fans. Sungjong talked about how all the hyungs take pictures of him and upload it to their group chat but it makes him happy cause that just shows they care or something. So Sungyeol said that he’ll upload everything he’s taken of Sungjong on SNS lol. Then they talked about an episode that happened during the ‘Bad’ recording. The CEO wanted a true/false theme and that instead of the line ‘betting on you’, Sunggyu and Dongwoo recorded a bunch of different things like ‘true/false’, ‘truth or a lie’ and Dongwoo ended the recording by yelling ‘CEO nice~’ and they went into digression about how if the song concept was ‘CEO nice’ then they would’ve gotten #1 for like 30 weeks and it would’ve been popular at golf ranges and bowling alleys lol. Minseok talked about how the boys’ live perf is seriously the best and he hinted that as a music show host, he saw some groups who lip synced and stuff. Then somehow, we got Minseok to sing the chorus of ‘Typhoon’ and he was pretty good! He also mentioned that he really likes that song and throughout the fan meet he mentioned that he likes their music lol all the bromance love. Then V line started humble-bragging about how they all sound so good live as if they swallowed cds and that it sounds like the AR version. That led them to talk about how they sing with small variations so people know it’s not the AR version and one time at an end-of-the-year show, Woohyun exaggerated a note and his voice gave out and then the members teased him. He said the moral of the story was not to exaggerate. They also talked about a time it was early in the morning and Woohyun couldn’t hit a high note at rehearsal and it was embarrassing cause it was in front of other groups too lol. This led them to talk about their second world tour and how they would break up into different teams to go out and do things. They’d break into teams like Myungsoo, Sungyeol, Dongwoo together, Hoya, Sunggyu, Woohyun together and then there was a Sungjong team. Then they said that the Hoya, Sunggyu, Woohyun team went to a performance (I’m thinking this was when they went to see ‘Phantom of the Opera’ on Broadway in NYC) and they had 2 managers but the Sungjong team had 3 managers. They were pretty much teasing him for being high maintenance lol. He said that he doesn’t mind doing things with the members but since he sees them all the time, he just wanted to do his own thing. This also led them to talking in different languages. Woohyun said that Dongwoo was in charge of English and Dongwoo said he’s not that good but can say simple things like ‘What did you have for breakfast’ (or something similar). Then Woohyun, so very cutely, was like ‘Morning rice?’ lol it was adorbs. They said that Sungyeol specializes in Thai and Yeol busted some out and it was so cute. Gyu said something in Mandarin and Soo in Japanese. Jong was in charge of Korean and they said Hoya was in charge of Indonesian, and then Hoya mumbled nothingness into the mic lol. Dongwoo said something in English and Woohyun told him to ‘Sit down’ in English and when asked what he specialized in, Namu said he specialized in the fans lol. What a cutie pie. Then Minseok said something along the lines of I’ve finally grown accustomed to your cheesiness kinda thing lol. They even talked about airport fashion and I think they picked Jong as having the worst. They talked about a lot of other stuff too but I specifically remember Jong talking about how at one concert, I think a fan helped him remember it was in London, where he was standing where the the fireworks were supposed to come out but at the last minute, Yeol grabbed Jong and pulled him out of danger so he was really thankful for that. Ugh... my Yeol feels were on fire. Then they talked about how Sungjong was the hard carry for ‘Knowing Bros’ and they brought out a soccer ball. They talked about how it was so funny cause he wasn’t trying to be funny and was super serious about it. He really was trying to trap the ball with his chest but, in Woohyun’s words, kept getting hit in ‘weird places’ lol. So Woohyun said that Jong has been practicing or something and threw the ball for Jong again and Jong headed it again. That boy needs more practice I think. Then they talked about if they ever wanted to try their hand at a character or drama that another member was in. We all teased Yeol and Soo for some embarrassing moments. They moved onto talking about Gyu’s solo songs for a bit and the hard time Soo is having filming lately (because of the weather). At one point, Gyu asked Minseok to ask them a question he’s curious about. He said he had none because he knows everything lol. Then he asked the fans if they had anything and knelt down close to the edge of the stage to ask a fan. This is when I could literally see the lasers of jealousy shooting out of Woohyun’s eyes. He even said something like ‘Don’t look at our fans that way’ lol. They talked about who was looking forward to the fan meet the most. I think most chose themselves but Soo chose Woohyun and Dongwoo chose Jong. They also made Hoya do an acrostic poem for 무한대집회. It was pretty good as far as I remember but I don’t remember what he said exactly. It had something to do with not going home until the sun comes out. Then they wrapped up the ment and performed ‘Take Care of the Ending’.

After the song, the escape the room game vcr came up. The point was to win money by completing missions and the king gets to do something special at the fan meet. The first mission was getting 95 or higher on a karaoke machine within 20 minutes. They did ‘Come Back Again’ and didn’t get a high enough score so Sungjong sang ‘The Answer’ and Gyu got all mad that he was ‘ruining’ it lol. Then, with 3 mins left, Woohyun was like ‘get outta the way, I’ll get 100 points’ and sang ‘Nod’ and got 99 points so they passed the first mission. The second mission was to get a combined amount of 3000 using pedometers. But, the trick was that they would have different combos of addition and subtraction for each member to make it more difficult, like ‘head - left foot + right hand’. Because of the weird combos, the members looked extra silly. It was quite hilarious, just thinking about it makes me lol again. Yeol was extra cute and with the headband, the members said Gyu looked like So Ji Sub in ‘I’m Sorry, I Love You’ and called him Gyu Ji Sub. Sunggyu’s part was funny too and when it was Namu’s turn, Gyu was staring at him and Namu got all embarrassed and was like ‘What are you looking at?’ lol. They did really well so they went to the 3rd challenge which was eating super spicy ddukbokgi in 10 mins I think. They were making all kinds of panting sounds so I think Woohyun said that the video was getting too raunchy lol. They finished (mostly because Gyu kept feeding everything to Yeol) and so they went to the 4th mission. It was a game of charades, but each member had to act out 3 words and they had to get a total of 18 correct. This part led to some funny moments too with lots of disses from Gyu, but they ultimately failed this mission, so the money they got at the end lessened. To choose the king they all had to one shot a can of coke and not burp. Whoever doesn’t burp for the longest wins. In the end, Woohyun won after drinking like 3 cans of coke and they came back out and performed the Korean version of ‘D.N.A.’

After the song, they did another ment. I remember the fans were trying to get Minseok to dance a part of ‘D.N.A.’ and he did a little after Woohyun taught him a part, but he said he’s not a good dancer. They also talked about how the original title of the song was ‘Virus’ but that word has a bad meaning in Japan so they changed it. They also mentioned how it was originally supposed to be released in Korea but the lyrics didn’t sound as good cause of the chorus where Sunggyu sings ‘Stop. It.’ sounded kinda weird and it fit better in Japanese. Suddenly, Minseok asked if D.N.A. stood for something and they were all like, ‘...DNA...’ and he was like I know what DNA is, I just thought that it meant something cause of the periods between the letters lol. He said it could be ‘돌았나’ (a Busan accented way of saying ‘are you crazy’ that comes off kinda harsh to non-Busan people) so they were like ‘No and stop swearing, there are adolescents here’ lol. Then they talked about going to Busan and the food there and something about Gyu going there with Minseok.

Then they brought out a throne and crown with a spinning wheel to carry out missions. The member spins the wheel and has to carry out that action wherever the king tells him to go to. With the very first spin, Dongwoo ousted Woohyun as king and Woohyun was so devastated and adorable lol. He was like ‘I wasn’t even king for one minute!’ Then they carried out different missions. I don’t remember the order but I think Gyu gave some of his clothes to a fan, Dongwoo gave a fan this gold necklace and he even put it on for her and moved her hair out of the way (everyone swooned lol), Woohyun acted out a scene from ‘Goblin’ with a fan on the third floor (and he was so cute because he was talking while he was walking through the venue where we couldn’t see him and also when he left, he stopped by every single door on the third floor to peek out and wave at fans cause he’s the biggest sweetheart), Hoya took a selca with a fan, Sungyeol danced to ‘TT’ and also gave a fan his practice shorts (which the members all sniffed to make sure it wasn’t nasty lol), Myungsoo backhugged a fan, and Sungjong danced to ‘Chaser’ at 2x the speed and even picked a fan to dance with him on stage and she did a bang up job too (you go Glen Coco!).

Then they performed ‘Love of My Life’ and then showed an interview vcr. I don’t remember exactly what they said, but it was pretty much about how they feel and thanking people/fans. Then they sang ‘One Day’ and went into ments again. They talked about the ‘Typhoon’ promotions and Sungjong’s killing part (the part where he does the choking dance move) and Woohyun said that more than this part, he thought the ‘I realized’ part that Sungjong does was the killing part and he imitated it. Then fans made Sunggyu do the choking dance and at first he did it half-heartedly and Woohyun scolded him and made him do it seriously and OMG IT WAS GLORIOUS. My little heart still hasn’t recovered. Then we proceeded to make them all do it and Hoya acted like he didn’t want to but Yeol called him out and was like ‘You do it all the time in the waiting room, don’t act like you don’t wanna do it’ lol. Then at the end, we made Yeol do it and he was like ‘I’m gonna do it EXACTLY like Sungjong’ and his facial expressions were hilarious. We made Minseok do it too, he was such a good sport lol. I don’t remember if it was here or some other time, but Woohyun was like ‘He’s not even a member, why are you making him do it?’ and his jealousy was on full display imo! Then they were like there’s only one song left and everyone got super down and kept whining but Woohyun was like, even though it’s our last song, you guys are gonna chant ‘Come Back Again’ and we’re gonna pop out and you’re gonna be surprised right? So don’t be sad’ lol. They kept asking, ‘Should we do the last song now?’ and everyone was like ‘yeah..’ and so they kept talking longer and longer cause they felt bad. Then Minseok said his goodbyes and everyone chanted his name and the boys performed ‘Typhoon’.

Then we did the chant of course! It felt like forever omg my voice was dying. The lights went down and the May comeback teaser came on. Then they came out from the second floor doors and walked around the second floor area while performing ‘Nothing Better Than This’. They started doing their last ments and Sungjong was first. He ended his with his typical ‘Honey, dream of me!’ Then Dongwoo started his by saying that Gyu once said, ‘There are many Dongwoos in the world, but none of them are like you.’ Then it was Soo’s turn and there was an event prepared for his birthday. We were supposed to hold up a slogan that said ‘Happy Birthday Myungsoo’ when it was his turn during the last ment and we sang Happy Birthday to him. The boys were chanting for him to cry and he was like wth lol. They also mentioned how during rehearsal Yeol was like ‘Maybe the fans will do a bday event for you’ and Soo was like ‘Nahh, they prob won’t’ and they apologized for having no sense and not buying a cake to make a proper event. They said that they really thought he’d cry but he didn’t and they said it’s cause they don’t have the pianist noona playing heartwarming music in the bg (no band for the fan meet). He also said that it was very touching and he’ll remember it forever and there was an ‘I love you’ chant. At the end of his ment, the boys started a ‘Cry’ chant and when we stopped, this little boy that was in the second floor seats behind my section kept chanting when everyone was super quiet and it was adorable and we all laughed lol. Next was Sunggyu, he didn’t really say anything too important. Then it was Yeol’s turn and he apologized for the lack of help on their side for Soo’s event and said, ‘I’ll make sure to make Myungsoo cry later and upload it on SNS’ and they were like ‘What are you gonna do? Yell “CRY CRY” while hitting him?’ He said a few other things, then it was Hoya. Someone asked him to do the I say Ho you say Ya thing so we did that. He then said, ‘Sunggyu-hyung once said, there are many Hoyas in this world, but none like you.’ and Yeol said ‘but there’s that genius dog Hoya!’ (a dog that came out on TV for being really smart). Then he used that line again and said ‘there are lots of fans, but none like Inspirit’ and mentioned his Golden Disk speech again about how it’s hard to be their fan and how he’s always grateful. He mentioned (and later Gyu and other members kept mentioning) that they made a promise to keep on going together, so fans think they were hinting at the contract re-signing. Then as he was wrapping up, I think a fan was being escorted out by security, prob for filming with a camera, and the boys were like, please just let it go this time! And they even apologized in the fan’s stead. UGH THESE BOYS! CAN THEY GET ANYMORE PERFECT? The right answer is yes. They apparently can... Then it was Namu’s turn and there was a part where he was talking about enjoying life and not living with too much haste and a fan yelled ‘Okay/got it’ and then after every attempt at trying to be heartwarming the members and the fans kept yelling ‘okay~’ and it was so cute!

Then this led to what I’m sure you guys have all heard about... the extra songs and acapella medley that lasted an extra hour. We kept whining for more songs or at least more talking, we just didn’t want them to go yet. And the boys with their weak hearts gave into our demands. Fans also said how they don’t want the wheel next time and they held a vote and said that they won’t do it anymore lol. They just really showed that they cared about us so much and that they didn’t care whether they’d get in trouble or not or anything, the only thing they cared about was us and our time together. (BRING ON THE TEARS ㅠㅠ) At first, they said that there’s a comeback in May so not to worry, after hearing our pleas for them to stay. Then they mentioned how they only found out about the comeback through the teaser on the first day and that they were just as surprised to hear that as we were. I love how they just hang the dirty laundry out there lol. (looking at you Woollim... you better do right by our boys -_- )

They kept trying to start the last song but we were whining and Namu was like, ‘If you guys keep doing that, then we really won’t be able to say no’ and I think Yeol mentioned ‘Chaser’. They first checked to see if they had the venue booked until a certain time or if they could keep talking for longer and fortunately, the staff said that we had it for the night. They always mention how they get lots of complaints from parents and stuff for how long their concerts are (they’re always at least 3 hours, which is quite long compared to other concerts) and they were like oh wells lol. They checked to see if they had the MR and said not to tease them and upload vids of them getting the choreo wrong since it’s been a long time. Finally, staff said they didn’t have the MR and after A LOT of going back and forth with the staff about MR/AR/acapella, they finally said they had the MR for ‘Entrust’ and ‘Cover Girl’ and they were like let’s just do both, so the boys put on an impromptu performance of those songs and they were walking around and going through the second floor again and some of the boys (like Gyu and Namu for sure) made sure to stop by and say hi to their families. You guys don’t even know how happy I was. ‘Cover Girl’ is my all time fav song and ‘Entrust’ is up there too. They’re just so happy and whenever the boys perform it, they always give lots of fan service so I was ecstatic. Woohyun ended it with ‘We’re yours!’ They had so much fun with it and Dongwoo was all excited and they were kinda like whatevers, eff it, let’s just keep going lol. So they were thinking of other fun songs to sing and Namu was like ‘Man In Love’ or ‘Nothing’s Over’?’ and the staff said they only had AR and we were like ‘IT’S OKAY!’ but they didn’t want to do AR cause they said they had pride and didn’t want to lip sync (ALL THE PRIDE IN OUR BOYS YASSSSS) and so Gyu was like the fans can sing and we can do ‘Nothing’s Over’ then all of a sudden, the music for ‘Nothing’s Over’ came on and they all got into formation and started dancing. Then once we started singing the ‘Yeah~’ part and they realized that it was the MR version, they were all happily surprised and kept going. And of course, we did the ‘Die die’ fanchant!

Then! They tried to do prepare for the last song again until Dongwoo started singing ‘Together’, and we all kept singing. That started the medley of us singing with the boys for like 15 mins. This is definitely on youtube, so I’m gonna skip over it. All I have to say is that I am INSANELY proud to be a part of this fandom and OVER THE MOON grateful that I found these 7 treasures. We started the medley for fun, but towards the end you could really see how touched and emotional the boys were getting. There was a part where Dongwoo tried to do ‘Inconvenient Truth’ but he picked a strange part to start at so fans didn’t pick it up quick enough and he was like why isn’t anyone singing? Dongwoo also started the Telemonster OST they did too lol. They all chimed in with different songs and it was so cool to see/be a part of. Woohyun mentioned how it’s fun for them and us but everyone else must be like wth. And they also mentioned that the only thing that matters is us together, since that’s what a fan meeting is all about. UGH ALL THE CRIES. Then Sunggyu put a stop to the medley cause they started singing the Digimon and Pokemon theme songs and were getting too off topic lol. Then they finally performed ‘Thank You’, went around and said their goodbyes, and finally, at the end, Myungsoo started to cry. Yeol was like, ‘Someone give me your phone so I can take a pic and upload it!’ lol. Then the list of official fanclub member names came up but I was so pissed cause the security kicked everyone out before I could see my name. They literally pushed me out the door and slammed the door in my face... and then some security guard manhandled me while I was waiting on the sidewalk trying to cross the street. I think it’s cause I had my phone in my hand and he thought I was trying to wait on the sidewalk for the boys’ vans to go by but I just wanted to go home at that point. So the end of the night was -___- but then as I made my way home, they start texting one by one messages through that number that you were supposed to send your selca to. Each member said a short cute message of thanks and love you’s.

Overall, this was probably one of the best INFINITE related anything that I’ve been to... and I didn’t know if anything could beat IEA. But ugh, seriously our boys... I have no words. You could feel their love. I’m so so sorry that this was so long, but since it was a fan meet rather than a concert, there was so much more talking! Even after the few hours I put into writing this account, I still feel like I’m missing stuff or left small stuff out cause there’s too much already.
