Where the valley narrows to a canyon, there is a tea house and some Himalayan huts (kharkas), and here a pack train of shaggy Mongol ruminant bovines descends from the mountain on melody of bells and splashes across the swift green water of the ford. From the tea house, a trail climbs steeply toward the northwest sky.
