Treezus has a few more therapy sessions as things start to get settled for our heroes, but can things truly be sorted out by the end of the chapter?

Yes they can.

General plan is to slowly whittle WIP’s so they’re down to like 5. One WR one DWR random 1 shots of WR+, and likely the 2nd and 3rd parts of Before the Stones.

To that end much like I’ve been doing with IPS I’ll be working on fics that are closer to being done or shorter fics.

That means working on stuff like, In Plain Sight, Darkest Ruby, Love after Death, Call of Whiterose, Against the Storm, and so on.

Radio Grimm has the Menagerie Arc to do but it needs an animated trailer to go with it which is why it hasn’t been updated in a bit (100% serious on the trailer btw yes I have problems)

Random thoughts about Weiss choosing Ruby and what it actually means

I see people talking about how Weiss picked Ruby in the forest over Jaune, and while that’s right I (and Dr. Treezus) would like to point out that it’s a lot deeper than that.

This is the girl who literally exploded on Weiss when they first met.

and yet when faced with the choice of a ‘child’ or Jaune she picks Ruby which is fine, but she wasn’t just picking Ruby over Jaune.

Weiss is many things, especially first season, but she’s also smart.

She KNOWS that’s Pyrrha’s weapon. The color scheme, everything is calling out saying that it’s hers.

Weiss is more than capable of finding a way to meet Pyrrha first on her way to get Jaune and yet she doesn’t. She has a chance to easily make sure Pyrrha is her partner, and yet...

Yes she ignores Jaune but she’s also deliberately choosing Ruby over Pyrrha, the girl who she thought was worth knowing and teaming up with.

She chose her once, and I think

She’ll never stop

Choosing her every time.

Each time she’ll come back to her partner...and maybe young maria too...

Worked it in there.

I've always had a theory that if god and light worked together to curse her than another combination could end it.

Hence Ruby and her silver eyes are the light, and grimm or perhaps Weiss's summons could represent the dark, and a combination could remove it.

If Weiss can summon a Jabberwocker that might also work.

Or they can just do the DBZ thing and inconvenience her forever, ie find a way to launch her into deep space, or the sun, or a volcano or something to buy time.

The mental image of Salem finally getting out of the core of the planet or something and everyone has left the planet to go into space, and she looks up as the sun is about to envelop the planet and is like 'well shit'.

IDK. There are options, but I mostly assume that because Salem said no victory in strength that cunning will have to save the day. I admittedly would be kinda let down if the plan was to rely on the 'gods' who have proven to give no shit to do it.

Now maybe if Treezus/the blacksmith showed up to fix things as a sorry for letting the 'gods' go free.

So, let's say RWBY comes out of limbo somehow. Like, someone buys the property, and the series resumes.

What the hell is "the plan" to stop Salem?

I can't help but feel the "plan" from a writing standpoint was to keep doing side quests until someone on the writing team figured out a way to have Team RWBY win.

I can only assume the answer was somehow for RWBY to max out her silver eyes, have all the relics, and that would somehow reveal an answer. Like, Silver Eyes can somehow undo Salem's immortality and either make her killable or she'd turn to dust, but I feel that's just a hail marry theory by me. Hell, if this WAS possible, then Jinn would've said it, wouldn't she? That Ozma would need the 4 relics and a Silver Eyed Warrior to defeat Salem, but she literally said nothing could.

I'm sorry if this is overly negative of me without any humor to soften it up, but it really feels like Salem was made too powerful. Like, to the point where defeating her seems so impossible that any way of defeating her seems unrealistic.

Got RWBY on my brain and now I refuse to shut up again: I was reading a blog that is in the RWBY fandom and said blog received an ask that was basically theorizing that those in Remnant's "afterlife" aren't conscious, because when the light god brought back Ozma, Ozma had no idea Salem was still alive.

(well, either that, or the people in Remnant's "afterlife" are conscious and just. have no access to see what's going on in the mortal plane)

...That just. adds to the ever-growing list why the Brothers Grimm are shit gods.
