         College--somewhere he never          had the pleasure of going, well          until now, but even then he really wasn't.          He was supposed to not draw attention to           himself which was easier said then done.           And running into people wasn't doing the           trick.

                  Mass panic caused the red head to double back at the question.          The intern in  question startling her a bit. Nothing  she wasn’t  used to  of course.          But, there wasn’t much  that someone who wasn’t a resident could do. And yet…          April  reminded  herself  that she’d been  in her position  before. Wide  eyed  and          over  flowing with  confidence and enthusiasm… She  would have wanted to help          too. So,  the  Trauma  Surgeon  stared  at  her  and  nodded  with  a tense  smile.

                             ” Yes— You can help me with the patient in                                 bed 34. He’s complaining about abdominal                                 pain. Should be nothing too hard according                                 to his file. But, you never know~ ”

             She is absolutely NOT freaking out, having absolutely no idea of                what to do or even what she’s doing here. Everything seemed                so calm and tranquil back at school… Even with the all nighters                to make sure to memorize all the little details meant to prepare                her for this… Except nothing could’ve possibly prepared her for                this, not even mom’s stories!

              So when she asks what can she help with, she’s fully prepared to                be told to simply not get in the way, like they have always told her                since she was little. Except that’s not really what happens…

          ❝ Right. Bed 34. Right. ❞  It takes a moment to understand the shock,                to process the information.  ❝ I can do that. ❞  Maybe. Possibly. She                should be able to do that, right? It’s what she’s supposed to be doing,                what she studied for. Oh, maybe it was all a terrible mistake!

           If there was anything he was really good            at, it was his job. However, it was not often            that his tailor life, mixed with his work life. Until            now. 

           He had feared this would happen every time            he went to visit. That someone not so friendly            would take notice, and she would be caught in             the cross fire. And now, his fear was a reality.             April was gone, and he would be the only one            who could find her.
