If you haven't heard about Sudan that because you don't read the news. That's on you.

Secondly comparing tragedies (like this vs Notre Dame) is a shitty, shitty trashcanman thing to do. They aren't things you compare. It's the tragedy version of someone calling out people complaining about a new music album saying that they should really be paying attention to the state of the economy. Fuck off

Thirdly there's a lot of corruption in Sudan as with a lot of places in that area of the world. A lot of donation money will find its way into the pockets of someone who is causing this issue. That shouldn't discourage you from donating per se, but just be informed where your money is going and exactly how it's being used.

Fourthly and the most unfortunate: this is a situation between a largely unarmed untrained civilian population and a very armed trained military population, unless there is outside intervention or the civilian population decides to try to work with the military, this will end in one way, donations or not.

This is a horrific thing to happen and it's one of many, including the one still happening in Yemen where the KSA is casually ethnically cleansing the region or in Israel and it's continual genocide of the Palestinian people. Don't diminish the tragedy by using it to shame others into feeling bad, that very weird and very morally vacant.
