for day 5 of agnekari week: bewildering grace! ❤️🧡 you are challenged by young couple hikari and agnea‼️
pkmn nicknames and explanations under the cut:
Hikari
Suiren (Samurott): One of Hikari's first Pokémon. Evolves into a Samurott when he fights Mugen.
Explanation:
"A master of a sword-drawing art called iaijutsu, Samurott settles its battles with a single swing of either large sword sheathed in its foreleg armor." "Hard of heart and deft of blade, this rare form of Samurott is a product of the Pokémon's evolution in the region of Hisui. Its turbulent blows crash into foes like ceaseless pounding waves." Hisuian form is used as a reference to Shadow Hikari.
Aylin (Sceptile - Mega Evolution): One of Hikari's first Pokémon. Named by Kura. Can Mega Evolve. Evolves alongside Suiren during Hikari's battle with Mugen.
Explanation:
"The leaves on its arms are as sharp as swords. It agilely leaps about the branches of trees to strike its enemies." Also. Um. Have you played PMD2. Grovyle is there.
Chizu (Skarmory): A common Pokémon seen in Ku. Guided Hikari to safety when he ran away from home.
Explanation:
"People fashion swords from Skarmory's shed feathers, so this Pokémon is a popular element in heraldic designs." Trainers in Ku admire Skarmory for its strength and steel feathers!
Kosei (Clefable): Caught in the Crestlands on the way to Montwise as a Cleffa.
Explanation:
"Some scientists believe that it gazes intently at the sky on nights with a full moon because it's homesick." Found by Hikari as a Cleffa and grew strong through his caring approach to Pokémon training.
Haruto (Gallade): Caught near Wellgrove as a Kirlia.
Explanation:
"The blades extending from its elbows are sharper than the finest swords. Its swordsmanship, albeit self-taught, is astonishingly impressive." "When trying to protect someone, it extends its elbows as if they were swords and fights savagely." "Sharply attuned to others' wishes for help, this Pokémon seeks out those in need and aids them in battle."
Shimo (Mudsdale): Caught on the way to Stormhail.
Explanation:
"It remains calm and unmoving no matter the situation. It mixes dirt with the saliva in its mouth to make a special kind of mud." Also Hikari is 100% a horse-loving guy… Not giving him a Rapidash though, I imagine he has an aversion to fire.
Agnea
Joy (Brionne): Agnea's first Pokémon. A child of her mother's Primarina.
Explanation:
I mean have you seen Brionne. "It gets excited when it sees a dance it doesn't know. This hard worker practices diligently until it can learn that dance."
Gala (Tepig): A rampaging Pokémon that Agnea calmed down before a festival.
Explanation:
The Duorduor from CH1.
Hope (Hisuian Lilligant - Shiny): Caught in New Delsta as a Petilil.
Explanation:
"I suspect that its well-developed legs are the result of a life spent on mountains covered in deep snow. The scent it exudes from its flower crown heartens those in proximity." Attacks with strong kicks, like Agnea.
Merry (Altaria - Mega Evolution): Hatched from an egg given to her by Garud. Born in Tropuhopu, shortly after Agnea decides to go to Merry Hills. Agnea receives a Mega Ring upon winning the Grand Gala.
Explanation:
"Altaria sings in a gorgeous soprano. Its wings are like cotton clouds. This Pokémon catches updrafts with its buoyant wings and soars way up into the wild blue yonder."
Glimmer (Glossifleur): Caught in the Brightlands while Agnea was journeying to Merry Hills.
Explanation:
"It anchors itself in the ground with its single leg, then basks in the sun. After absorbing enough sunlight, its petals spread as it blooms brilliantly." "It whirls around in the wind while singing a joyous song. This delightful display has charmed many into raising this Pokémon."
Jubilee (Flygon): Caught in Ryu as a Trapinch during D&W1
Explanation:
"Flygon whips up a sandstorm by flapping its wings. The wings create a series of notes that sound like singing. Because the "singing" is the only thing that can be heard in a sandstorm, this Pokémon is said to be the desert spirit."

I said like forever ago that I would make tier list for dragon types, and I've finally gone and done it. Big thanks to @veterantrainerray for suggesting I do this like a month ago.
These lists are directed at newbie trainers, specifically younger trainers. If you're thirty-two and have a twenty acre property and all the time in the world to read up on the care and training of a Salamence, go for it. I'm not your dad.
I've ONLY added Pokemon I have personally trained, so I can try to explain each list. I made two lists, one for captive-bred 'mon and one for wild-caught. Captive-bred pokemon tend to be hardier and less temperamental, so the list is a bit different. ALSO, while I used the final forms, this list is assuming you got them in their first form. I do not recommend trying to train a fully-grown wild Salamence. For any reason. That's a catch-and-release beastie.
honourable mention: Gyarados. Not a dragon-type, but temperamental as one. My recommendation is that this is a very strong guy who (probably) loves you very much for taking care of him when he was weak, and also he hates everyone else. Train him to wait for your command, and also socialize him while he's still a Magikarp to avoid the 'us vs. them' mindset as much as you can.
~~~
First up, the 'domestic-bred dragon list!'
Explanation:
Acceptable Starter: Swablu and Dratini are not very aggressive pokemon, and domestic-bred ones are usually much hardier than their wild counterparts. Dratini are a little more intelligent, and thus easier to train, but a domestic Swablu is pretty intelligent itself. Neither of them evolves into a pokemon known for aggression, so I think overall they're pretty well-suited travelling companions.
Fine with experience: Horsea is Horsea. You know him, you love him. Domestic ones, are, again, hardier than than their wild counterparts.. Honestly, the reason I have them here rather than 'acceptable starter' is because of Seadra. All the good breeding in the world can't guarantee a calm Seadra. You have to make sure your Horsea is well-trained BEFORE it evolves. But if it is? Your Kingdra is gonna be a breeze. Way more chill than Seadra, if not a bit snooty.
Druddigon get a bad rap, which is unfortunate. I love them. Might be my favourite dragon type. Domestic breeds are hard to come by, since they're not very popular, but the ones I've met are wonderful. They enjoy sunbathing a lot. The reason I put them here is actually because they tend to be stubborn. And while it takes a lot (compared to other dragon types, NOT most pokemon) to get them irritated, they CAN AND WILL use their strength to solve a problem. So the difficulty lies in getting them motivated enough to train them well. But if you're just looking for a guy who sits out in your yard sunbathing and looking scary, maybe give a breeder a call...? (you should still train them not to attack without a command, though!)
Flygon is actually usually really sweet-tempered. The reason he's so low is actually because of Trapinch and Vibrava! Trapinch, even domestically bred ones, are not all that intelligent, and thus hard to train for people who don't know what they're doing. The digging instinct can be very, very difficult to train out. They're hard-wired for it, it's how they survive in the wild! Vibrava are much more intelligent, but when they first evolve, there WILL be accidents with the wings. They're still figuring things out. Give 'em time, teach them to only do that stuff outdoors, etc etc. But if you can get through that, Flygon are wonderful companions! Every now and again in Hoenn you'd find a family with a pet Flygon instead of the typical Skitty or Poochyena. Love em.
Might need outside help: Domestic Gibble tend to be much less wantonly destructive than wild-caught, since having that bred out of them was a big goal of the original breeding programs in the first place. That said, instinct is instinct. If you aren't giving them their proper exercise every day and making sure to train them, they are going to wreak havoc. You need to be paying attention to it at all times. They're also pretty curious lil' guys! This means they will see something neat, like a fire hydrant, go 'hey, what's that?' and then answer that question by destroying it. They tend to get labeled 'aggressive' which is. Well it's not really true, but the difference between 'playtime' and 'this little guy hates you' doesn't matter so much when you're human and a Gibble is chasing you, open-mouthed. Domestic Gabite are much more calm on that front, and fully-trained, domestic Garchomp tend to be remarkable bastions of self-control. Again, it's all about surviving and training that first stage.
Pros Only: Both of these guys are here for similar reasons: Their instinct in their final evolutions has a tendency to override their training, so you're gonna have to not only have a firmer hand then a lot of trainers are comfortable with, but train them pretty continuously throughout their lives. They're fiercely independent, so forming a bond based on respect very early on in their lives is direly important. Otherwise you ain't getting them to do anything for you. Thankfully, at the very least the domestic breeds tend to not be too violent/destructive.
Salamence has an added difficulty: most people don't train their Bagon or Shelgon correctly. Bagon is one of the most easygoing dragon types out there, and Shelgon have a tendency to be pretty placid. This leads to trainers not taking their training too seriously early on, which leads to disastrous consequences once they're fully evolved. Just because your Bagon listens to you doesn't mean your Salamence will. Practice your recall training. Or Else.
You put that thing back where it came from or so help me: Hydregion is smarter than you. You may be able to train a Deino. I don't know you. They're bitey, but not the worst out there. But you do NOT have the resources or the know-how to handle a Zweilous. Straight-up. They have high energy levels, need a LOT of food, and can and WILL injure themselves via infighting. There's a reason Hydregion is rare as hell, and it's because a lot of them don't make it to adulthood due to injuries. It's a survival of the fittest tactic. I love Hydregion. I have one. If you don't have a damn mountain range in your backyard, don't get one. They NEED a place to go off and be destructive, and they're territorial as all hell. Just don't. Please.
~~~
Next up, the Wild-Caught List!
As you can see, there's nothing on the acceptable starter list. I'll get into why in the next categories.
Fine with experience: You're looking at basically the same thing with the wild Kingdra line as you would be with a domestic breed, with one notable difference: Wild Horsea tend to be a lot less hardy and a lot more timid. It'll take it longer to start trusting you, but honestly just doing the upkeep to keep it happy and healthy should start winning it over. They're more intelligent than most people give 'em credit for. Your eventual Kingdra is probably also gonna be more headstrong, but honestly for some trainers, that's a good thing.
Dratini suffers from the same problem. They have pretty specific habitat needs- but if you're at the point in your journey where you get your hands on a wild Dratini, honestly I'd trust that you're able to provide what it needs. Bonus, though, is that while wild Dratini can be cautious, they're very curious, too! And if your vibes are good (lookin at you, Ray!) they're usually more than happy to come along with you. And as our dear friend Ray is learning, one that is eager to battle is a ready and willing student! There's a reason they have such a great reputation.
Might need outside help: Wild Druddigon tend to be pretty territorial, on top of all the stubbornness. They're usually also a bit more proactive in expressing the classic dragon type temperament. You're looking at more intensive training to get recalling down and increase their tolerance for being bothered. No shame in asking a dragon-type expert. That said, I still love these guys. If you can read their body language, you could probably get through a cave of them no problem.
Oh, Swablu. Swablu, what will we do with you? Wild Swablu are flighty little critters, and kind of frail, to boot. And wild Alteria are stubborn. They will not get dirty. They think they are better than you. This isn't to say they're awful! An Alteria is usually pretty affectionate with its trainer, wild or domestic. A properly-trained one isn't going to be raging any more than a Dragonite or a Kingdra. But trying to train a Swablu is harder than it seems, just because they're not great listeners. If You've got patience and a guide, you're fine, but really I'd suggest asking an expert.
I don't know how to say this without sounding mean. Please understand I've raised five Trapinch. They are. Difficult. and a little stupid. Wild ones especially don't really have any sort of grasp on the world of training. You are looking at one hell of an uphill battle. But they're kind of a rite of passage for Hoennian trainers, and if they can do it, you can too! Really, you're going to be doing most of the 'basic training' for these guys in the Vibrava stage. You should still be taking the time to get your Trapinch used to being balled and the sound of your voice, obviously, but the traditional way to train a Trapinch is to do double battles until it evolves. Then do a lot of the indoor-outdoor distinction, once it can understand what a building is. And if you can deal with a Trapinch, you can deal with a Flygon. They're pretty relaxed, especially for a dragon type.
Pros Only: You don't have the patience for a wild Gibble, and you almost certainly aren't capable of tying down The King of the Caves when he wants to rampage. That said, if you do manage to train one right, and you've got a firm hand an a certain kind of attitude, you've got a partner for life. A wild Garchomp's respect is a tough thing to earn, but it's worth it. I was debating putting him on the final tier, but honestly... if you're really, really dedicated it's certainly possible. But you NEED to get in contact with somebody who knows what they're doing. Trying to freehand training is going to get your arm torn off.
Honestly, with Salamence, you're looking at about the same issues as you would be with a domestic, with two exceptions: your Bagon's gonna be a bit more of a wild child (but still nothing crazy) and your Salamence is gonna be aggressive. No way around it. Keeping it trained is a full-time job. If you're not looking to make a trained team of six and would rather just focus on a few, then you might have the time to dedicate to making sure the training sticks. Otherwise, leave it.
You put that thing back where it came from or so help me: Look at me. Look at me. Do not go near a wild Hydregion. Do not attempt to steal a Hydregion's baby. You will die, and it will hurt the whole time you are dying. And then that beast is going to start rampaging, and if there's a human settlement on or even near its territory, they are going to pay the price for your stupidity. Then they'll call the rangers in, and IF they can subdue the Hydregion, they're not going to be able to release it, because Hydregion can always find their way back home. They'll have to put it down. Don't fucking do it.
You can probably keep and train a wild Axew. Just make sure it has an everstone, because you are in no way, shape, or form prepared for a wild Haxorous. See the above, minus the rampaging parts. They're usually content with just you and anybody in a direct line-of-sight. If you train it well, it'll probably just run off into the hills instead of attacking you, at least. They've got really powerful instincts, and need things most people can't provide. 'Oh but Laser, don't you have a wild-caught Haxorous?' I do and I also have an entire nature preserve, complete with mountain range. He loves me, in his own way. I know this because he is willing to wait for food and not attack everything in his territory. I can go into his territory without being instantly vaporized, and he's willing to come out of his territory and interact with me. This does not mean he is safe to be around. It only means that I have twenty years of experience. If you want one, get a domestic breed. There's plenty of Axew breeders all over Unova.
~~~
I hope this was informative! Please remember that pokemon are individuals, and not all of them will conform to what I've laid out here. Please also remember that your life is not worth the possibility that you could get that one in a billion, super nice Hydregion. Dragon types have their reputation for good reason, and I simply can't stress enough that you need to do a lot of research before owning any of them.
Good luck!
#I love my domestic Garchomp- got her as a trade wayyy back in the day#she keeps shit in LINE. like a very strict grandmother#And my Druddigon! I love you Ruddy my sweet baby and Todd my strange man#Ruddy was wild-caught and Todd is a domestic. Honestly super underrated#If I was a pokemon I think I'd be a Druddigon#laserland#pokemon#pokemonirl#pokemon irl#rotomblr#dragon type#got a little dark there but it's bc I know how kids are#they take a threat as a challenge
Ooo is it ok if u write a drayton x reader where reader is really reckless and always takes on challenges such as doing 7 star terra raids and goes off on different adventures, and he gets worried and protective and the rest of the bb elite 4 find it cute and funny
Hope this is what you asked for. I'm kinda bad at writing this stuff 😅
Tag along | Drayton x Reader
Pokémon Scarlett and Violet Indigo Disk DLC Spoilers ahead!
After one to many raids where you get hurt. Drayton decided to finally ask you to let him come with you. Though things didn't go exactly as he had hopped.
Warnings: Small argument, Fluff, protective Drayton
SPOILER WARNING: No spoiler warning. Unless you don't know character names
“Drayton, I'm not so sure about this…” Your voice cut through the silence of the BB League room. Drayton had asked you completely out of the blue to let him tag along on your next raid. Which happened to be a black crystal 7star. “You’ve never even done a raid before.”
Leaning against the table, he simply turns his head and smiles, his pearly fangs flashing at you for a moment before pleading his case. “So? I’m a fast learner, I have good Pokémon too, gave you a challenge, didn’t I? Plus, you make one hell of a teacher.”
“True I do.” A snarky smile crosses your face for a moment, the sound of Crispin snickering in the corner at the self-confidence. “But even if I could show you about raid battling. I'm going to a 7 star… these aren't exactly teaching material. Especially given what's inside the crystal.”
“What’s inside? A larger than average Scorbunny? If so Drayton really should go.” Lacey teased, prodigy Drayton’s face with a gleeful smile. His own face scowled slightly at the remark.
“Maybe it’s an angry Trapinch coming back to taunt him! That would make for a spicy dish!” Crispin added, spinning his pan around.
Drayton’s head snapped up, and he stared at his fiery friend. “We do not talk about the Trapinch man! My ass still has NOT recovered from it… neither had my ego.”
“Think more… giant psychic mouse thing with serious anger issues.” You admit holding back the laugh that just wanted to leave your lungs.
“Well, that wasn’t what I expected… But hey! That's never stopped me before. Don’t forget which one of us helped you with the legendary hunt.” Drayton pestered, still clutching onto any string he can, to convince you to let him come. Anything to give him that edge up on you, if the dragon egg eyes won’t work. Then good old fashion pleading will have to do - and he’s about 5 seconds from doing that.
“Drayton, I love you, but I can't bring myself to let you come with me on this one! If it was a 4 star then yeah totally. But this is huge! These sorts of raids, I can't bring someone so inexperienced into the palace. I wouldn’t even bring Kieran!” You argued, it was no surprise that your pleas fell upon stubborn ears.
“That’s exactly why I want to go with you! It pains me whenever you come back from one of your raid trips hurt… or bruised. And I can't help but think to myself that I could have done something to help you. Take the load off of you!” His voice cracked slightly, not out of sadness or hurt, but more out of the fact he couldn’t do something to protect you. Drayton knows you can handle yourself, you’ve proven that to him on many occasions. But at the end of the day, you are still his treasure, and he wants to protect you, needs to. “Just let me come along this once! If I cause you problems, I’ll never ask again, just please humour me.”
Before you could even give him a response, Lacey’s voice cut through the tension, it was soft-spoken but clear. “Come on, let him… let him.”
“SHHH. It’s getting good…” Crispin's equally soft voice cut after hers, somehow eating popcorn. Where did he get that, why are you asking? He’s the chef, not me.
“Can you four stop bickering. You are ruining my concentration.” Amary’s scolded, the sound of her pocket watch snapping closed followed her voice. “In case you 3 have forgotten, we have a meeting to get to with the director. You have 5 minutes, don’t be tardy.”
Amary’s left the room not long after. The 4 of you left dumbfounded in the room, it wasn't until Drayton’s voice chimed up again. “Okay, I was not the only one who had no idea she was in the room, right?”
“I think she spawned in?” Crispin answered with a question of his own.
“How long has she been here? I've been here all morning? Did she drink an invisibility potion… What does she know that we don’t?” Lacey’s brain scratched as well.
“I think it's like a Spinarak thing. If you stand still, they can’t see you.” Your fellow companions laugh at your remark, it's a dumb reason, but what isn’t. During the laughter, you take your chance to leave. Grabbing your bag and heading for the door, only for the sound of it shutting in your face to follow. Peering up, you notice Drayton’s somehow moved from the other side of the room to close the door. His face was one of worry. He couldn't keep eye contact with you, anytime he tried, he just looked back at the door then at you again; as if silently asking you to let him come with you. His face reminded you of the first time he admitted he loved you. That silent protective plea of his. Never spoken through words. With a deep sigh of defeat, you take a step back from the door and stretch your hand out towards it. “After you, dragon boy.”
“YES! I WIN!” Drayton proclaimed jumping up for a moment fist in the air victorious. Lacey elbowed him directly in the ribs moments later, Crispin crying of laughter on the floor trying desperately not to whack himself in the face with his frying pan. “Ow right, right. Thank you, love! NOW LET'S GO KICK SOME MOUSE BUTT!”
Hey Hop! I'm doing alright, managed to catch the trapinch (it was very cooperative). Still dunno what to do with it, I'd keep it but I don't really have a place for it on my team, and I don't think Piers wants it in the house. How're you? Been up to anything interesting recently?
He is! He's still up there, but that trapinch did NOT bite him hard, it nibbled his hand and he lost his bloody mind! He's just being dramatic, he doesn't need medical attention or anything. The bite didn't even break skin!
Wait, was he chatting with ya earlier? How did he do that? I have his phone!
Part 2 of my take on Batfam x Pokemon
In this part, I’m including Steph and Cass. I know I said i was also gonna do Damian and duke, but i haven't had inspiration yet 😭😭
Part 1 is here
=====
Stephanie: She’s always overlooked for the guys when it comes to Robin. I know she wasn’t Robin for long, but I’d still like to reference it at least somewhat
Taillow/Swellow | “Tolson” - Steph finds Taillow when she was a few years old. She brought him inside and insisted that they keep him. Despite Arthur saying no, no matter how hard they try, the taillow kept coming back, and so they literally had zero choice but to keep him!
Ralts/Gardevior | “Misty” - She finds a little ralts wandering around Gotham toward her first few years as Spoiler. She played with her for a little while, and the ralts continued to follow Steph around Gotham before saving her from an attacking an attacking houndoom and then leading her to a shiny Umbreon, who just so happened to belong to the third robin
Feebass/Milotic | “Little Guy” - toward the latter of her time as spoiler, she finds a little guy (feebass) just swimming around in the muck of gotham. she felt bad for the “little guy” and took him in. turns out, little guy eventually becomes big guy- a Milotic!
Fennekin/Delphox | “Katniss” - the first pokemon she finds as Robin (which matches her with the other robins, and she would be lying if she said it didn’t feel like fate)
Jolteon | “Sparky” - She’s given Jolteon by Bruce when she comes back from the “dead” (Note that the others have all started as eevees before evolving into the pokemon they are now, whereas Steph’s jolteon never grew up with her. this can either be read as her being accepted into the batfam without truly NEEDING to be Robin, her never really being part of the batfam in the first place, or bruce wanting to erase her time as “Robin” and acknowledgethat she was so much more than his sidekick. it’s all up to the reader to decide how much angst they want to indulge in :3)
Cass: Being raised as a weapon, she probably relates more to pokemon than she does humans, seeing as they don’t rely solely on words to communicate, but with body language and such too. this probably lends to her having a closer bond with her pokemon, and the bats/citizens of gotham coming up to her and asking why their pokemon are acting up/if their pokemon love them and whatnot. she’ll work closely with Damian to bust pokemon trafficking rings and others of the such :3 I'm also unsure what exactly she'd name her pokemon, but she'd probably have help from tim and steph later on
Riolu/Lucario | “Reed” - her first pokemon was a riolu given to her to use. they are completely and wholly dedicated to each other in the beginning, since both were hesitant to take another creature's life. Riolu evolves into Lucario to help Cass escape, and helped bring Cass onto Bruce's radar
Trapinch/Flygon | "Falen" - Cass finds a trapich buried in the sand while in the middle east, and decides to keep it. It stays, and eventually evolves into flygon, who sticks loyally by her side
Eevee/Vaporeon | “Eve” - Tim gives Cass an eevee as a gift within her first years with the Batfam while the others were still wary of her. Cass loves the eevee SO much, but she accidentally runs into a water stone that dick had left out, and evolved into a vaporeon rather than a sylveon
Rockruff/Lycanroc | “Sedis” - Jason is the one who gives her a rockruff as a peace offering, or maybe a bride to look past his killing of vile criminals? Either way, she keeps the little guy, and she lets tim name the pokemon, and he chooses Sedis to match with Iggy (Sedimentary and Igneous rocks)
Cosmog/Solgaleo | “Lumens” - I think Cass deserves to be the only one with a box legendary :3 she probably picks up a cosmog after settling in with the batfam, and when she shows him off, everyone is like 😃 Tim is really intrigued, and damian is jealous that HE didn't get to have a sparkly space cloud, and he'd be even MORE jealous when he finds out that Cass gets to have a sparkly space LION (Lord knows he 100% wants a lion)
thistook like way too long it was supposed to be a doodle
anyways uhhh kid sniper and his trapinch!!! + grown up.. and flygon.. i have been rotating tf2 pokemon in my brain !!
You guys wanna listen to me ramble about tf2 Pokemon so baaad.. go on.. click on the read more thing...
OKAY SO i need to get this out of my system
It's probably obvious that Mick had been a difficult kid (of course, given that he was an outcast probably: the slim, small, weird kid with no body hair) and very much without friends. He'd have been the object of, mockery and nasty jokes and things like that; school sucks buddy!
Applying that into a Pokemon world: Mick would have definitely wanted a huge, strong pokemon. Probably to be able to properly defend himself, one like Kangaskhan, or a Zangoose or a Seviper (or even better, a Charizard just like he'd seen on TV!). Of course, having a strong pokemon would require years of training (and bonding too!), something that required a level of patience little Mick hadn't built yet. So, knowing his way into the woods due to always hanging around there by himself (comfort? escape? who knows), he goes deeper and deeper. Yeah, he tries to catch creatures he deems "strong", and horribly fails, again and again.
During one of these awful attempts, he returns home, frustrated and tired. However, the constant trips to this unknown part of the outback (and, of course, making a lot of noise) had attracted a teeny tiny creature: a Trapinch! The weak link of his group, low level, weak thing (but fierce and with a high defense), its presence isn't recognized until Ms. Mundy finds a lot of her crops missing and others bitten.
Of course, Mick finds the plague and brings it back to the outdoors, away from home. But it refused!Going back to the little boy's house each time it is taken away. Catching it on a small trap, Mick is willing to exterminate it, but something talks to him. Maybe he saw himself in the eyes of that tiny critter (who was struggling in a cage that wasn't made for it), or maybe he learned some empathy from his mother, or maybe he just wanted to contradict his dad. So, he keeps it in the end.
Clearly, the kid doesn't expect much from this, little creature that fits in his backpack (bad idea: he shouldn't have brought it with him to school, now he's also the weird pokemon kid). But still, he feeds it, he brings it with him everywhere (can't trust his dad enough), and slowly gets used to its presence.
The Trapinch soon tags along Mick into his hunting trips. The kid trains his precision with the bow and, in a couple of years later, his dad's rifle. Understands his companion's hunting method too, and slowly begins to train and teach new moves to it. A bond is forming! Through the years, Mick starts seeing the Trapinch as a pet (not that his family didn't had pets, but this one? it was his. the connection was visible between them)
The bullying problem doesn't stop though. Mick learns to avoid it, and avoid telling his parents about it (given that he already defends himself, and he doesn't want to make a fuss out of it). He drops school around his last years, dedicating himself to only hunting for some time, taking about a sixteen/seventeen year-old guy probably.
And wahoo! Word gets around about the quiet guy that headshots all the bunnies and deers and just like that he gets his first actually sniper job. (Not really going into that, let's focus on the pokemon aspect instead)
Trapinch probably evolves around this time. Not an extremely incredible event (some evolutions are televised) but Sniper might have not expected a Big Dragon-Fly. Vibrava is such a cool pokemon tho, it gets a while for Sniper to get used to the new name.
- Fun idea a friend of mine commented: "Vibrava can get him his jars to pee. It can also work as a bomb helicopter or smth: it grabs the jarate, flies above the enemy and drops it in their head"
However I do think they wouldn't have gone in much sniping jobs together, given a feral Vibrava's nature of, uh, the ultrasonic waves thing. It probably goes away a lot, into the outback all by itself. That's fine, but Sniper can't stop thinking his pokemon is going to leave and not come back some day.
Around this time, Sniper gets his contract at RED, travelling to Americs (probably around, 23 years old?) Forgive me for I don't know much about dates and ages! I headcannon Sniper to be in his mid 30's during the comic (Even though I'm pretty sure he's canonically 26, I'm sorry, I can't imagine him being younger than 30)
Sniper brings Vibrava with him into his (recently obtained) van, close to RED headquarters. For obvious reasons, it is not taken into the matches, but it's left out of its pokeball to explore around. At first, it doesn't return to sleep one night. Then it happens more often.
And it finally happens. Vibrava doesn't come back for a day, two days, a week. Of course, Sniper feels devastated, thinking it's gone for good (but leaving his window open everyday, just in case...)
He wakes up one day (or is it night? probably too early to notice), having heard a strong wind move his van. Groggy, goes outside to check if a storm of some kind is approaching, and he'd greeted by an enormous, dragon-bug thing that grabs him by the arms and lifts him up in the sky.
Flygon is way stronger than Vibrava. Bigger, of course, and more active. But still playfully bites at his hands, and still lays on its back demanding belly rubs like a dog (just like it used to do when it was a Trapinch). They go on camping trips together a lot. Sniper could technically go on its back, but he doesn't want to leave the van alone.
Sniper probably looks back to when he was a kid and is glad to not have uh, eliminated the pokemon when he had a chance.
FUCK THAT'S A LOT? i ain't reading allat 😂 if you're here thanks for reading i love you
what pokemon i think the lost trio would have (except i’m right)
leo:
- flareon. i love thinking about lost trio where they all had eevees when they were younger and so now they all have like bestie eeveelutions that match who they are
- gengar. mischievous boy w mischievous ghost
- genesect. this just makes sense yknow? inventor with invented/altered pokemon
- trapinch. i just know that if leo saw this pokemon, he would instantly love it. like its dumb but in a cute way. also later becomes big dragonfly dragon
- charmander. fire dragon. he’ll eventually have a charizard, they just aren’t there yet. his fire dragon is still just a little guy
- rotom. this just makes sense
piper:
- sylveon. lost trio owning eeveelutions agenda
- jigglypuff. it can put ppl to sleep w its voice, she can charm ppl with her voice
- ralts. charm speak girl with her psychic friend
- espurr. idk this just makes sense to me. i just feel like she would love this strange looking cat. a girl needs her weird ass cat
- munna. idk i feel like, after the dreams she’s had, she wouldn’t mind not having them anymore. ik she wouldn’t have these if she was a trainer in the pokemon world… but still
- alolan raichu. was lost with picking the last one. however, i think she deserves another cute pokemon as her final one
jason:
- jolteon. lost trio owing eeveelutions agenda
- arcanine. wolf boy w big doggo
- honedge. sword
- pidgeot. i feel like he has to have a bird bc yknow his dad and eagles. it makes sense. also he needs a flying type
- lucario. dog that fights
- mimikyu. if you don’t understand why jason (who feels like he isn’t perfect being who he is, that he has to be this perfect hero) would have a mimikyu (pokemon that pretends to be another one) then we can’t be friends. him and his mimikyu are besties
#pjo#the lost trio#leo valdez#jason grace#piper mclean#added pics from like a Pokemon card generator for visual learners#these just make sense to me#don’t argue with me bc im right /j#join my lost trio with eeveelutions agenda#idk why the quality for 2 is better than the other two#well it is before posting l#don’t question the kinda bad quality lol
The beautiful thing about picking pokemon in this AU is sometimes ill pick them for one thing and then find out info later that makes it even better
Like with Dazai taking in Oda's Eevee. Dazai doesn't see the need to evolve his pokemon and even uses it as an advantage but he evolves Eevee into an Espeon which requires a Dawn Stone and high friendship.
There's all the meaning behind that. However, its typing which is Psychic didn't matter to me until i looked up the pokedex entry and
Well, of course you can predict moves. Who was your og owner.
___
Then there's Sigma whom I gave a Trapinch/ Vibrava. He wakes up in the dessert so I thought i should give him a pokemon found in that terrain.
In my experience, I saw Trapinch and thought what cute lil guy but generally thought of them as okay and didnt realize all the ground/dragon Flygons came from them.
So. For Sigma akhdkska. Give him the ant pokemon that turns into a dragon type.
He has the second evolution which is Vibrava. Later on i checked the pokedex entry and...
Okay???? Whatever???? Just. Use it as inspiration for your resonance gun i guess??
Can't keep surprising me while I make these?!
#Was considering giving him a chimecho but i guess not? *hmphs#this post is more showing how clueless i am but also pleasantly surprised#bsd pokemon au#bsd#bsd dazai#bsd odasaku#bsd sigma#(kit)^2#also evolution isn't a requirement so it's fine that Dazai keeps his other pokemon as is#except for that magikarp who i want to evolve into gyarados by its own accord akdhskls#and yes i have already thought how to bully ango with this info#pokemon AU: Main Route#im also emotionally spent this is the most i can post rn
Lin Reborn HC List, since I need to post something non-geopolitics related:
- Her favorite food is originally pizza, but eventually becomes Loaded Tater Tots. Elise(my Reborn OC, if you are finding me for the first time) and Lin end up frequenting a food truck in Reborn together and it creates comforting memories for Lin to replace the old.
- HCing her as asexual. She also grows a distaste for Terra's sex jokes(albeit not quite as great as Erin's in Rejuv).
- Once she finally gets a grip and finishes proper schooling (barely), she eventually gets a job as a tabloid journalist. Proper values of life she may have gained, but making money is the perfect excuse to start a new brand of mischief.
- After realizing that Elise can tell when she's up to something due to her shit-eating grin, she looks to Charlotte to figure out how to play things cool. Charlotte ends up warming up to her as her protege surprisingly quick, considering the fact that Lin nearly killed her older sister twice.
- Lin dyes her hair light-green(like her puppet) a few years later for a change of pace.
- Lin finds it a lot easier to bond with Noel over the years than many others. For one, she isn't exactly afraid he'll come for her head at first, but eventually she just finds his quiet, calm nature nice to be around.
- Her first Pokémon after starting life anew is a Type:Null, whom she finds injured having escaped 7th Street(in my scenario, Elise never did the Silvally quest). She luckily tames it after instinctively whipping out her bag of emergency marshmellows. Bribery is Lin's strong suit, but the scenario still leads to her learning how to truly care for Pokémon rather than use them as tools.
- She eventually gets a Deino, Trapinch and Cleffa of her own for her team, as well as a Growlithe and somehow, Hoopa. Fucker escapes and dabs up the other silly dumbass. Hijinks ensue.
- OC Headcanon: Elise's Luxray, Spotlight, likes to be around Lin sometimes when he's jealous of her pet Litten taking the attention (hi Sumi :3). At one point Lin woke up to find him loafing right on top of her like a big baby.
- Saphira only agreed to not complain non-stop about Lin getting to stay because she agreed to make offerings of marshmallows at consistent intervals to Arceus as a peace offering. Puppy is always angry at seeing her until she chucks the marshmallows over to it.
- At Heather's behest, Lin eventually returns to the orphanage very reluctantly(the trauma is still definitely there), only to be pleasantly surprised at how much Blake helped improve the place. She returns every now and then to play video games with the kids.
Short story around the time of Unova's capture, and of Okita's origins.
PLEASE READ THE TW TAGS BEFORE READING!!!
Hearing nothing but echoing corridors, Gary Oak was sure he was done for after his trip into an infamous Aunuran desert Trapinch hole. With his head bound, he knew he wasn't out of the woods just yet. He hears a familiar craggy voice address him as he's pushed onto a chair and bound in an unknown room.
"Did you find what you were looking for?" Said the unknown voice, Gary's ears piped up as the man continued.
"Just as nosy as your grandfather in the pursuit of knowledge, rest assured your nosiness ends here."
After the statement from the unknown man, Gary's head covering had been lifted off, revealing a dark room with a spotlight upon himself. He knows this man… Not only from the Kanto region, but as the head of Rocket industries in Aunura, Giovanni.
"tch, well well, I knew that old man stink was bound to be you. This whole place smells of retirement home and failed yakuza." Gary quipped.
Giovanni, looking the same as he did back in the mid 2000's aside from the hair dye running down his face, leaned in from his wheelchair towards Gary to offer a deal out of this place alive. "I know what you've been digging up… Our team has taken the liberty of confiscating your 'findings'. Rest assured, you won't be publishing any of them; in fact, you'll do as I say or you'll end up more dismembered than that arm you collected."
Giovanni leaned back in his wheelchair, with a large grin on his face creasing his crows feet even more. Gary was unphased by the threat and smirked back at the acquaintance as he spoke back in a nonchalant manner, "I heard on the grape-vine you're getting back into the genetics commissioning game, and had to check it out for myself! Seems like whichever geneticist you hired this time can't even get one of those creatures to form properl-"
"Enough talk!" shouted Giovanni. "There's one more thing, seeing as you're so interested in our development"
Giovanni leant forward once more with a stern look on his face, as Gary remained stonewalled. "Your skills will be needed here one day, 'Professor Oak', I know you've been collecting and studying Arceus plates for medical research for some time now."
Gary's eyes shuddered in anger, "WHAT MAKES YOU THINK I W-"
"You despise the thought of pokemon in pain, and I'm giving you an opportunity to t-"
"Yeah yeah… So you'll put them in pain so I can take them out of it… Sounds completely ethical to do that to an innocent creature, Artificial or not…"
Giovanni paused and smirked as he leant back in his wheelchair. "So you know of the pokemon Mewtwo, and it's origins"
Gary Squirmed within his bound state in a fit of fury, "Why are you making so many!??! Some of them are still alive out there! The ones your disgusting cronies buried and chopped!"
"It doesn't matter, those ones are merely unable to form, as you put it yourself, Gary… We're nearly there, and I will have one obey my commands if it's the last thing I do on this Earth!" Givovanni coughed loud and hoarsely at the end of his statement. No one would tell if it was just his talking or the musty dark room that caused it.
Just as Gary was squirming around in his bindings, he'd been slowly able to get a pokeball to finally drop from his pants pocket, unleashing his Arcanine. "Grrrrwaarrh!!!"
In what felt like a flash, Arcanine chomped it's way through Gary's bindings and shoved Giovanni backwards into the wall with it's hind legs with no hesitation. Gary grabbed a hold of his Arcanine before using a teleportation device he refers to as 'Escape rope'.
Two Team rocket grunts charge into the room to assist the frail Giovanni as his phone rang, "Sir you need to see the medic! You shouldn't take thuds like tha-"
"I'M NOT AS DECREPID AS YOU ALL THINK!? Nghhh…"
Groaning from the incident, Giovanni reaches into his inner jacket pocket and pulls out a black rotom phone, answering it in a huff. "This better be good news! Have you found more DNA from the Unovan experiment, Drake!?"
Through the video call is a bright, curly haired woman with a piercingly defiant voice. Some of the team rocket grunts refer to her as 'the clown', as a smile has barely ever wiped off her face. Except for those few who tell tales of a grim reality behind the mask… "It's always good news! You just don't know how to take progress, ahahaha!!!"
Giovanni stared blankly into the phone's camera as she cackled, before continuing, "ahah… Well, not only did we get the rest of the samples, but we got the main cretin themselves here! Well, we let it go after we t-"
"YOU LET IT GO!?!?!? THAT WAS OUR CHANCE TO CLONE HUNDREDS OR THOUSANDS OF THEM, YOU FUCKING IMBI- what!?" As Giovanni began to unleash his tirade, the clown, known formally as Professor Kana Drake, showed him a fogged up glass and metal chamber with what appeared to be a nearly complete foetus of a mewtwo.
"I hope you're read to listen or you wont get your kitty cats!" She widely grinned and giggled through her words.
"We let her go, as we still don't know how she even got pregnant in the first place"
"P-Pregnant!?" Giovanni spluttered, "They're pokemon? They are meant to have"
"Yes, Eggs! Ahahaha! We thought it best to let her go and hope that she is found again with another baby just for us, Gio!"
She laughed more and more maniacally before continuing "This one will be a sure thing, fuse it with a docile psychic pokemon or psychically gifted human and it'll be too indecisive to think for itself!"
Giovanni grumbled with reluctance, putting more faith in the eccentric genetisist. "Drake… Once you bring it back here, I'll take care of the other component…"
"Hahahaha!! Of course sir! I knew you'd understa-"
Giovanni had hung up before she even had a chance to finish. He leans forward again, almost lost in thought. A grunt goes to ask about his condition before they're cut off by Giovanni. "Have the Gym leaders of Symphony come to their senses yet?"
The grunt blankly stares at him before checking his watch in a hurry "a-ahh! sorry sir, right away! … … Their last email reads… uh…'Get fucked, we own the gym by law, no 'protection' money will be paid… Sincerely, Ai and Amare Spes… P S … How do you plan on forcing it from us? Your pokemon are undertrained and undervalued'."
Giovanni must have been infected with the clown's disposition as his smile widened, wrinkling his elderly face as he looked at an email on his rotom phone.
"Well, how about that… According to my intelligence division, they've frozen an embryo in recent days… How lucky for us".
Chapter Eight’s gameplay was especially fun to translate into story, since it contained a rival battle AND a gym battle! The chapter picks up at the Pokemon Center visit that I made after winning the prior rival battle against Brendan, who fainted one of my pokemon and reduced the rest to low health. I used repels to make sure we didn’t get jumped by wild pokemon and rushed my poor earth-type babies to the Slateport Pokemon Center to heal them up. Since I had three revives to use on any fainted pokemon I wanted throughout the run, I used the first on Cedar and rezzed her at the Pokemon Center. I stocked up on potions and other heal items, now paranoid that this run may not be as easy as I was hoping. After that, we set off for Mauville.
In the comic, Team Hearth never visits the comic’s stand-in city Mawhill, the lightning elemental capital. This is different from the gameplay, where you are of course unable to skip visiting Mauville since it has the third gym. I made this change since it wouldn’t really make sense for Team Hearth to visit an elemental capital so soon after what happened with Briar. I also just didn’t want to introduce and design a new city, and I figured I could connect the needed gym battle to Mauville by having the gym leaders be Mawhill citizens. It made sense anyway since lightning elementals live there, and the gym is an electric gym! So that fell together pretty nicely.
But before the battle begins, Cedar and Nauki run into Wesen the ralts, the comic stand-in for Wally! I was pretty excited to get to bring Wesen back for this chapter, since he left Cedar so abruptly ages ago in Chapter Two. It was fun to get to pick at the unresolved drama between these two, because Wesen is avoidant to a fault but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t feel bad about the things he does. Cedar is a fun character to throw at Wesen because her very nature is antithetical to what Wesen expects from the world. These two shake each other up and I love their chemistry.
Cedar and Nauki bring Wesen back to meet their new team, and some aggression from a recently retraumatized Shelly helps to lead both into the upcoming rival battle AND the gym battle. The conflict causes Nauki to run off on his own, which separates him from his older protectors and frees him up to get kidnapped by the lightning elemental gym leaders. This event thus gets Shelly even MORE pissed, and once she identifies Wesen as at fault for Nauki’s kidnapping, all bets are off. Shelly attacks Wesen, violence ensues, and the rival battle commences. Check that one off the list!
In-game, I used Shelly against Wally in Mauville. She was still weak af but was getting a little stronger now that she was getting to higher levels, and bug is good against psychic. Wally only has one ralts here, so it was a pretty easy fight even for Shelly. It went by quickly, and does as well in the comic, though in-comic Shelly is so overcome with raging emotion over the kidnapping that when Cedar intervenes, the explosion targets her instead. Wesen is spared, rival battle is cut off, and Shelly runs away. After the Talk happens, we cut to Nauki with his lightning elemental captors, and the third gym battle is imminent.
Gameplay notes for the Wally battle (Yeah it was literally two turns lol):
Shelly vs ralts- Cut, half yellow.
Teleport, no effect.
Cut KO.
Originally, I was actually going to show the third gym battle in-comic. It would have been Nauki beating the everloving shit out of these lightning elementals to protect his sisters from potential harm, and it was gonna be cathartic and awesome and glorious. I ended up cutting it for time. Chapter Eight was long as fuck even without this battle, so it unfortunately just couldn’t happen. The camera cuts away as Nauki charges in, and by the next time we see him, the cave is reduced to rubble and Watts, Gadget, and Mango are beaten to a pulp. In-game, you’ll never guess what happened…
I swept the gym with Nauki. Wow, how’d you guess? :V
Yeah, it was super easy. Even the battle against Roxanne was harder and I was fighting with a frigging water-type. Once the gym battle was done, we moved onwards towards Hoenn’s arid region! Finally, I had gotten to the good part of the game… THIS NEXT PART OF HOENN IS EARTH-TYPE CENTRAL! I was gonna be getting catches on almost every route, instead of every few levels like the early game! I was so excited to finally fill out the rest of the team, and I caught lots of new pokemon!
My first new catch was on Route 112, where I encountered and caught a female numel that I named Ember. I was so fucking excited because numel is one of my favorite earth-types to raise, and what better place to do so than Hoenn! She was the fifth pokemon to join the team, and then we went to Fiery Pass where I caught a male slugma named Copper. I’d never raised slugma before, so I was pretty interested to see how he would do. Full team!!!
The next step in the game was to head to Fallarbor, and I knew from my research that Route 113 would have a possible skarmory encounter. I really, really wanted skarmory on the team (steel-type, flying-type, cute design, nostalgia for my skarmory from my first Emerald playthrough, GOOD). So once we got there and I encountered and caught the male skarmory Lockheed, I suddenly had choices to make. 7 pokemon, but only 6 slots on the team. It was time to send someone to the PC!
This was the point in the run where I made pretty liberal use of the PC boxes to switch the team around. It was a kinda chaotic time for the team, pokemon would regularly get boxed and come back and get boxed again as more new catches were made. I was trying to balance the team type-wise as well, so that we weren’t leaning too heavily on ground-types versus rock and steel. Cedar and Nauki were the only real permanent fixtures on the team at this point. Lots of switching up!
In Fallarbor, you get a quest to save a kidnapped professor from Team Magma, who dragged him off to Meteor Falls for whatever reason. You also encounter Brendan here, who doesn’t battle you but rather accompanies you to Meteor Falls. I decided to skip this rival encounter because honestly I forgot it even happened. Brendan just leaves very little impression on me as a character lol. I skipped the professor thing, too, because it was just kinda boring and would’ve taken an annoying amount of time to set up, just needlessly extending the comic further. Once Team Hearth made it to the desert, I wanted to send them to Meteor Falls without spending a ton of pages on it. I definitely wanted to include the Team Magma encounter there, since I was taking this opportunity to introduce the comic stand-in for Maxie. I used Team Molten’s strong desire to fight Team Magma as the bridge to get us from one story point to the next as quickly as possible.
I don’t exactly remember how I got the idea to connect Team Molten and Team Magma. The numel catches were definitely part of the inspiration, since Maxie also uses a camerupt as his ace. Bridging different elements of the story also helps to streamline things; Team Molten wanting to fight Team Magma can serve to drag Team Hearth into the conflict as well, even though our main characters don’t yet have a personal stake in the conflict. They will have a personal stake eventually. But for now, their major motivation is to help their new friends out. Thankfully, with Cedar and Nauki’s personalities, it was easy to justify this.
In Meteor Falls, I caught a solrock named Eclipse. I was kinda miffed about this catch I’ll be honest lol, because solrock is a psychic-type but also a physical attacker??? And I don’t even think they learn zen headbutt. So at the time I was just kinda like… Eclipse you’re just a less good Brawler… But I kept them on the team for far longer than I anticipated at the time of capture. So its kinda funny how that all turned out!
Once Eclipse was caught (and introduced in-comic as a character with OCD, as I had promised a friend I would write one), we move on to the Team Magma encounter and introduce Mantle and Tabs (stand-in for Admin Tabitha). In-game, there are three Magma Admins that you regularly fight (or two?? Was it two or three??? I remember Tabitha and Courtney uhh), but in the comic, only one of these admins is still currently with the team. This is to just streamline things more so I don’t have a billion cast members to keep track of. The other Magma admins can be seen in Ember and Tuffy’s flashback, so they are at least referenced. In-comic, Team Magma is here for the same reason as in-game: To steal the meteorite. Team Molten find them first, chaos ensues as the numels three reunite, and then Team Hearth arrives. Molten has outed themselves as being connected to Team Magma. Team Magma successfully steals the meteorite (same as in-game p sure) and leave. I literally don’t remember what they do with it after the fact lol, but I at least remember that much.
Sometime after Meteor Falls, I went to Jagged Pass and caught the second female numel, Tuffy. This was fucking awesome because I love numels and now I had two of them fuck yeah. And thus, we had nine team members in total: Cedar, Nauki, Shelly, Brawler, Ember, Copper, Lockheed, Eclipse, and Tuffy! Earthen party, earthen party! Things were going strong at this point, with lots of fighters to choose from and all sorts of new type coverage. As you can see, in-game Tuffy was the last of these five pokemon to be caught, but she’s introduced as one of the first new catches in-comic. I streamlined all the new catches by introducing three of them (slugma and the two numels) as a unit. I wrote in reasons for why all these new pokemon would start hanging with Team Hearth, though all have yet to officially join the team. I try not to rush new catches onto the team, since it can come off really unnatural. I want to give time for the characters to meet and get used to each other and have them join up when the moment feels right. But for now, all these new pokemon are traveling with Team Hearth!
Aaaand that’s about it! Thanks for reading this gameplay retrospective. Next one will come at the end of Chapter 13. Laters!
So...that new fallout show huh? Arceus help me I'm back on my bullshit. I'm only like three episodes in but I LOVE it. And of course my pokemon loving ass couldn't resist this. So far The Ghoul is my favorite character, so I've decided to do his team first! I'm actually gonna do two teams for him, this one being the Ghoul and the other being Cooper. Without further ado:
Team Ghoul
1. Mudsdale
This one was the first one I decided on for him. If you think he wouldn't have horse like pokemon on his team, where is your head? Not to mention Mudsdale is pretty tanky and can take a hit like it's nothing. I imagine this is probably his oldest pokemon from his current team (probably the last surviving one from his previous team). Mudsdale is deeply loyal to his trainer and does his best to help when he can.
2. Flygon
This one was a little last minute but I actually think flygon would be really cool and really convenient for him to have. Little dude is good at retaining information as well as keeping tabs on targets. Flygon is rare in the wasteland, as many trapinch don't survive long even in those harsh conditions. I actually headcanon that this was a reverse catching: Cooper got caught by a trapinch and was like "welp, I can't get you off so you're coming with me". Flygon is a little speed demon as well, which is also very convenient.
3. Kabutops
Okay so this one I had to actually think about. I'd imagine fossil types would be impossible to bring back now but this is my blog so if I want Cooper to have a kick ass kabutops he's gonna have one...okay, okay...look dude needs a water type pokemon and I actually forgot kabutops was a water type. I feel like it would blend in and adapt pretty well to the wasteland. Being water type is incredibly useful. The fact it looks cool is just a perk.
4. Steelix
Caught as an onix, this pokemon is mudsdale's rival in terms of strength and loyalty. The first pokemon to be caught for this new team, he evolved it after searching every-goddamn-where for a metal coat. Steel type pokemon are rare in most places, most having been hunted to near extinction for scrapmetal/parts. I'd imagine this particular steelix feels lucky...
5. Mightyena
Coop likes dogs.
That's it. That's the whole thing...
Okay maybe it isn't. Alright so we all know he likes dogs, and I'll admit it was a challenge to decide what dog like pokemon he'd have. Packs of mightyena are common, so I Imagine coop was able to snag a poochyena from its pack and raise it as his companion. He knows ice fang, which surprises folks who dare challenge this thing. Mightyena is also an excellent tracker and doesn't give up once he's on a mission to hunt with his human. He tends to have a sour attitude and sometimes picks fights with mudsdale and steelix.
6. Banette
Going into this, I knew I wanted to give him a ghost type. Babette is just a freaky little dude that just wouldn't stop following him around. Every team needs a gremlin who causes problems on purpose and this dude is definitely it. He's a pain in the ass but he's a mostly loveable one. Not to mention he's an expert at stealing drugs that coop needs. So he's a lovable, useful, pain in the ass.
And that concludes today's team. I may do cooper's team before the bombs dropped, which will probably be a mirror to this team. Let me know what you guys think ^.^
Ever since childhood, Tim's tendency to follow his gut before his head has gotten him into trouble more than once. While it can make or break the story he's following, he refuses to admit how many times he's accidentally stumbled into a gang battle. When not chasing a story, he usually spends his time with friend (and crush) Mateo Huertas. However, things took a turn when Mateo seemingly vanished without a trace. With few leads to where his friend went, Tim flies to a small island to get in contact with Mateo's brother, Oliver.
THE TEAM:
Romeo (Liepard | Male): Caught as a Purrloin. Tim's stealth partner, slinking into areas to let his trainer in. He enjoys being brushed.
Atlas (Flygon | Male): Caught as a Trapinch. Usually flies the team around when they need to travel short distances. Enjoys humming while he flies.
Rip (Dewott | Male): Gifted as an Oshawott. A blunt and difficult Pokemon, even to Tim. Acts out and sometimes refuses to listen to him.
Striker (Rotom): Caught on one of Tim's jobs. It helps Tim when hacking into computers or accessing electronics. Likes to play impromptu games of hide-and-seek.
Pepper (Venipede | Male): Caught in Pinwheel Forest. The newest and youngest member of the team, he will be the first to alert Tim to approaching danger.
Senshu (Infernape | Male): Gifted as an Chimchar. Specifically from Mateo. If the need for a battle should arise, Senshu steps up to the plate. He's protective and loyal to a fault.
