Even if Amity Park as a whole is better off in this new dimension, there will be some people who want to go back. People who were just stopping at the tourist trap on their way through and have no desire to uproot their lives; people who were planning to move out of town and still want to take up that university place or job offer; people who have family or lovers or even pets elsewhere that they are desperate to get back to. Or whom they want to bring in.

So they are still going to have to locate their original dimension, and at the least open a portal to repatriate those who want or need to leave and to reunite separated families.

Then there’s all the legal and economic stuff that needs to be sorted out. Business that were subsidiaries, branch offices or franchises need help to go independent or find a buyer in this new world. Legal firms need to get up to speed on the laws here. The banks need to get integrated into the financial network and the hospitals and care centres urgently need to be linked up with medical suppliers. Everyone needs to be set up for taxes, elections, and social security.

The Justice League has a lot of work to do. So do Wayne Enterprises, STAR Labs, and any other major business and employer that can help transfer an entire town into the national systems.

Danny doesn't remember much of what happened after his fight with Pariah. he knows the suit nearly killed him. 

He knew he passed out after and had to be carried back.

But considering the fact that the sky is blue and he's in his bedroom it was pretty safe to say that it was a classic case of a job well done and everything was back to normal.

The next day however, more and more oddities started happening. 

No longer did Amity Parkers get assaulted by GIW warnings when they accessed the internet. Instead they just got�� nothing, nada, zilch.

Did the GIW go all in and just disconnect them from the rest of the world completely?

But then it became clear that that was the case with everything. stores weren't getting any shipments. 

phone calls would automatically say that numbers weren't in use. 

packages and mail weren't being picked up. 

Very worryingly, credit cards also stopped working and any attempt to contact the bank went utterly nowhere. 

people gradually are starting to get more and more worried.

Amity was very independent and self sufficient but this was a bit much.

At the very least now the city was more open to the doctor's Fenton energy solution of simply using Ecto to power everything.

The guys in white didn't show up in the city anymore either. 

The same went for the other out of town ghost hunters.

and after a quick check from Danny himself (as Phantom) he confirmed that the little not so very hidden base the guys in white had set up outside of the city borders was now simply gone.

Not only that but the roads going out of Amity also just suddenly stop.

At this point Team Phantom is starting to have a certain suspicion, and Sam asks Danny to find the nearest gas station and get them some newspapers.

Back home and now with a bunch of newspapers spread out over the floor with articles about Alien invasions in a place called Metropolis or the top floors of a skyscraper being blown up in a city called Gotham, they have enough to confirm their worries.

DP X DC Prompt/Idea

Long time writer for the DC fandom (mostly Batman specifically Tim Drake joins the batfam early AUs and Titans Tower AU) on Archive, Danny Fenton also known as Astroboy2025, decides three days after his ‘Accident’ to create a Jason wakes up a Halfa in his coffin fic. He only does this to help himself process his emotions after well lets be honest his death and revival. And later once the ghost attacks pick up and he picks up the mantle of a hero as a way to covertly get advice/figure out on how to fight ghosts better by transplanting all his ghosts into Gotham for Fic!Jason to fight.

Danny wasn’t expecting much to come from this, he wasn’t expecting the fic to blow up in popularity for ‘creative storylines’ and ‘unique original villains with a ghostly flare to go against the ghostly Robin now named Phantom’ it was just a vent fic with a bit of wishful thinking on his part with Ghost!Jason and Bruce's relationship being so close (He ends up writing Jason getting hugs and affirmations that Bruce still loves despite all the ghost stuff that happening now whenever his Parents go on a tirade about how all ghosts are evil and need to be ripped apart molecule by molecule)

He definitely wasn't expecting his fans to find out about the real Phantom and figure out his identity from there. (Blame Penelope Spectra she had a history unlike the others in his rogues gallery with a bloody trail across America of sharply increase Suicide rates in more isolated smaller cites/large towns that was being tracked by Redditers that had hard stopped in Amity park just a few days before he dropped the chapter of Jason facing her himself)

While the Amity Park tourism to see a IRL Hero in action, and the Anti-Ecto acts Riots, as they would later be called, made by DC fans throwing a fit about the threat to the world’s first superhero were the lesser consequence in the grand scheme of things. Finding his fan Discord was a trip and a half especially since Tucker had to hack into it into the first place because his fans we're extremely protective of his secret ID and reinforced the server a crapton to be stronger then most banks.

While Sam was insisting on this being a horrible Idea and he should try to dissuade his thousands of fans from the truth of his Identy. Danny was just chill with it after the brief panic. And the Fan Discord was super helpful for getting Advce with! while the jokes that he was Batman Adoption bait was annoying the group was amazing for ideas on how to train his powers and advice on how to better fight ghosts. the Discord even make a Power list for him so he wouldn’t forget a power because he wasn’t training it. plus the comfort they gave after Circus Gothica was A+ even with the jokes about how the Batfam curse of clown trauma, despite matching the look as a human batman isn’t real so as much as his fans joke about him being the prefect Bat bait that will not happen.

To bad after a particularly nasty ghost hate rant in front of him in ghost form while being shot at by his parents that before the server would spawn 3 chapters of Family fluff in his fic, was whatched angrily by a fan who in a fit of annoyed rage said these words. “I really wish batman WAS real, then maybe you could be safe in your home for once”

unfortunately Desiree was out and about and heard the wish granted she had no idea who Batman was so went to read the DC comics after that. Good news the DC universe is so messed up as is that Desiree decided no twisting was necessary she’d just to bring everything to life. Bad news all the supervillains now exist along side the now existing superheros and Desiree is now Kaiju sized and now way to powerful for Danny to deal with alone... 

At least the now real Batfam are taking their sudden existence well? and are willing to help Danny stop the Mad Genie dispite the risk that they would pop into nonexistence (with the entire city of Gotham and the other cities, villains, and heroes made real by Desiree’s power) if she’s stopped

I had similar concepts for my DP P3 and P5 AUs as well, regarding Jack and Maddie researching Shadows; in my P5 AU, which has no DP lore elements (ie. there are no such thing as real ghosts or half ghosts, Danny doesn’t become Danny Phantom; its lore is mainly P5 only) Vlad was the counterpart to Shido so he was all wrapped up in the corrupt Metaverse-power abuse business (and therefore cognitive psience) after accidentally messing around with it in college with Maddie and Jack while they were trying to “research ghosts”. I wanted Danny’s parents to stay ghost hunters, though, so I decided that in my AU Vlad wanted to basically gain research and resources on cognitive psience from Maddie and Jack without needing to kill them for knowing too much (because his lack of a portal accident leaves him with a little bit more mercy to Jack) so he decided to string them along—manipulate them—into continuing to research cognitive psience under the misnomer of ghosts. Jack and Maddie think they’re looking into the existence of ghosts like their canon DP research, but this time ghosts actually aren’t real and they’re being tricked into researching cognitive psience instead, oblivious to the subject matter’s true nature.

It’s a similar case in my P3 AU (no Danny Phantom plot with any real ghosts, but plot elements from DP, like the Portal Accident, are transplanted into a fusion with the P3 plot elements) except Maddie and Jack were small-time ghost researchers in college who created a failed ghost portal that nearly killed Vlad (with no halfa creation). So whatever organisation parallels the Kirijo group in this AU recruits them on the original Shadow experiment to properly flesh out/improve the proto-portal concept; they’re kept distant from the true heart of the experiment as low-level workers with no accurate information on what the organisation’s true goal is—they’re just deceived into believing it is ghost research. As such, they are not involved in the explosion (and so easily survive), but are strung along for a long time. Vlad, on the other hand, goes selfish/mad after his accident and becomes basically the Ikutsuki of this AU, gets let in on the true experiment and helps to continue it after the massive lab explosion/accident ten years prior to the main plot. Jack and Maddie’s second ghost portal works, but not to the “ghost world” as they were tricked into believing it was. The Dark Hour already exists in a radius gradually extending out from the site of the original accident, but Danny’s accident with his parents’ portal gives him a near-death experience (but not turning him into a halfa) that forces him to confront his own mortality (hence, leading to him gaining the potential for a Persona and for “Death” to become sealed in him), and the portal’s activation causes the Dark Hour to instantly spread from its original site to Amity Park. Danny spends a lot of the plot thinking the Dark Hour is his fault (until pretty much Vlad betrays SEES and admits the true motive of the experiment) because his parents’ “ghost” portal broke down the barriers between the human and Shadow worlds in Amity Park and Danny’s the one who turned it on. The only subtle clue he initially has that the second Fenton Portal is not responsible for the Dark Hour is that Tartarus is not situated right on top of FentonWorks, but instead at the site of the institution in Wisconsin where the original event occurred, linked to Amity through a spacial distortion that allows for quick travel between the two portal sites during the Dark Hour.

Thinking about that Persona Verse again. Danny may be half-shadow, but that doesn’t mean he gets his own shadow off on the sidelines.

Danny’s true shadow is a lot more cold hearted and snarky than the real one. He knows he’s never going to be normal again despite how much he wants to be, and believes himself a monster able to do whatever he wants.

Although Danny does want to hide his powers and use them for good, his shadow reveals that the temptations to use them for more selfish reasons are more than present.
